✅ Thanks so much for watching! ✅ More square root videos in the description. ✅ Remember, perfect squares (also known as square numbers) are products of integers multiplied by themselves. For example 9 and 36 are perfect squares. 9 is the product of 3x3 and 36 is the product of 6x6. A counter example would be 15. 15 is NOT a perfect square. We can not multiple an integer by itself and get 15. ✅ The first twelve perfect squares are: 1x1=1 , 2x2=4, 3x3=9, 4x4=16, 5x5=25, 6x6=36, 7x7=49, 8x8=64, 9x9=81, 10x10=100, 11x11=121, 12x12=144. ✅ Remember, when you multiply a number by a square root, you can put the number next to the square root like in the video. A number next to a square root means to multiply.
do not listen to the people being mean i will all ways watch your amazing videos thanks but i am struggling with my analogue time if you can maybe do a vid on that you don't need to but it will really help me :}
I am a 24 year old going back to college and wanting to brush up on stuff I’ve forgotten. Math was always my worst subject. Your videos have helped me more than anything ever has. I’m finally understanding what I spent years misunderstanding. Thank you so much!
Math has plagued me, specifically fractions, square roots, and decimals since the 3rd grade. I'm several decades past 3rd grade and FINALLY got it. I can now confidently help my daughter with her math homework thanks to you!! Thank you so very much Mr. J!! A great teacher makes a world of difference! 🙂
Thank you so much for your videos! I am taking skilled trades math classes through a university online and it is so confusing but the second i watch your videos I get it!!!! your not just helping children..... 32 years old and your videos are saving my life #grateful
You’re very welcome! The positive feedback is great to hear! Im happy the channel has been helpful. Thank you for taking the time to write a comment. Much appreciated!
Thank you I’m a returning college student. And I hated math because I could not understand it. I’m now giving it another try after many years I ran across your page and I’m thankful. You have been helping me big time .
This videos help us to clear all the concepts we should wall all these videos to understand the basic concepts of maths like square roots I hope that many views should come in this video and he should deserve it truly
Thank you for your clear videos. As I help my daughter with her algebra there are often topics that she struggles with. Jumping online to watch your short videos often helps her "get it." And also reinforce the methods I was already trying to show her. ;)
Another lesson gem from this superb teacher. The alternate answer to the second example is pure math magic as it resolves into the same final answer. I’m becoming addicted to math … and Mr. J 🙏🏼
Thank you are a super teacher to explain square roots an understanding the basic concepts I have seen your previous video what is square root and I understand it very well thank you so much
Hello Mr. J! Thanks For The Video. Tomorrow I Have My Monthly Assessment Of Math. Your Video Really Helped Me! You Really Show Them In Details But In A Nutshell. Probably Won't Get A Reply Because It Was Posted 2 Years Ago.
You can also do a factor tree. I have a trick for this method and you only need to consider perfect squares with prime bases (2^2, 3^2, 5^2, 7^2, 11^2…..) up to half of the number.
This video was really helpful, but just a question, what if both products of the multiplication are non perfect squares? For example, take root 42. The factors of 42 are 7 and 6, or 7x6=42. The real question is that you can neither simplify root 6 nor root 7, so any ideas how I could solve a math problem like that? Thanks! 🙏
I get the overall, but I'm getting hung up which number goes first. So for #1, I did 5 x 4, not 4 x 5 so my answer was flipped. Is there some sort of reasoning to be done there that I'm missing? How do I know which number needs to be on the left vs right?
I'm a new professional math tutor and today I had a student learning square roots for the first time. To me, square roots are something I just do without thinking. And so I was struggling to explain it in a way that anyone could understand. I realize now how strange and unintuitive of a function it is for first time learners. Thanks for showing me an effective way of teaching this topic.

Is it a quick way to do it with the Calculator that is on the computer?
I swear this dude makes everything so much easier I’ve watched every video about simplifying square roots and this is the first time I understood it.

❤❤❤ I love maths 😊😊😊😊😊 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 I want to be an engineer that’s why
I want more square root video's now
In the 2nd one, can 4 be simplified further to 2, since it is a perfect square? So the final answer will be 2 root 2?
no, because when you try and convert it back, it won't work. 2×2=4×2=8 instead of 4×2=16×2=32
I love math
You spelt meth wrong
@ sorry I love meth
Understand it much better now
Can this man just be me except boy me in a math test
Teacher made us watch this as homework 😭🙏
Same🙏🏻😭
😅thank youu
I love math🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Ilove somuch maths easy
How does one know that 16 is a perfect square without going all out and doing that equation too? These are the parts that get me.
When or what is this used to do?
How to do square root on the tl=30x5 calculate
