    I love this car so much. I bought my 2012 4.6 at 31,000 miles for $18,000 and it has been worth every penny. Extremely reliable and plenty of power when you need it. As long as you take care of it, it will take care of you and easily last 200k+ miles.

      @DeathhAngel1 when a used sonata with half of the options were going for 20k or more at the time? Oh and look at the market now lmao still have it and still going at 102k, no issues so I'd have to disagree. Not to mention it's paid off. Nice try though :)

      poy Mu worked for Hyundai a salesman for a few months and I can tell you the genesis lineup by Hyundai is very underrated. The G80/90 and soon G70 are very good lineup especially with the sport 3.3tt

    • @poymu4929
      @poymu4929 5 років тому +1

      @@tleoipl37 They are not underrated. 3.3t is best they got. Hyundai has been always a generation behind top luxury brands. Thing about luxury cars is that you have to own it for long time to appreciate what car has got for you. Genesis doesn't use leather on seat bottom where seat control switches are. No leather on underside of dashboard where your knee and feet goes. No Fancy electronic sunroof where it can change shade by itself. You really get what you pay for.

    114,000 miles later she still is pretty nice and never an issue other than a drunk chick breaking my sunroof switch & the power mirrors are shit.
    The suspension was WAY to soft from day 1, but I love this car and almost don't wan't to let it go.
    I cut off the mufflers long ago and put 18" flex pipe angled out & down at the ground. She reminds me of driving an old Pontiac 455 Bonneville or Catalina.

    I am so happy to find your review on the Genesis. I'm really not into big cars but i saw one for sale that peaked my interest. I haven't made a decision on the type of vehicle, whether an SUV, coupe, sedan, or convertible. But man, the Genesis is nice. More luxury than I'm used to, I like sportier vehicles with 5 or 6 speed manual transmissions. Maybe it's time i make a transition and narrow my search. Thanks for sharing. I found a mint condition one (an 09 4.6) with 138,000 miles. They're asking about $8,000 for it. Will it be a reliable car for years to come? Also, what's the gas mileage like? I did notice the power tilt/telescoping wheel switch is finicky, which I looked up and seems to be an issue with them. Other than that, I love the car!

    • @drwinlied
      @drwinlied 5 років тому +2

      @@evanganske9240 While I can't speak to the reliability of an unknown car over the internet, I can say that the one I owned wasn't without flaws/quirks; but still I'd own again in a heartbeat. I put a borla exhaust on mine and it sounded awesome (think I have a clip in my vids). Only problem was lots of drone, but that was easily solved by manually shifting the auto (holding a slightly higher rpm than the super low one it wanted to chug around in all the time). I don't recall the mpg being that bad at all (20's), even with me constantly revving it. IMO, 8k is too much for an 09 w/ 130k. While I think the car is worth that money all day, no one else does (KBB, dealers on trade-in, etc). You could likely find a newer 5.0 in the same ballpark. Ultimately, it's a great car with an absurd amount of useful features...rides like an old school cadillac (comfy...not sporty). It's very much a real-world car vs a magazine car (realistic features and usability vs 0-60 & track times)..
