I’m growing two of these trees in Georgia about 50 miles north of the Florida line . I planted them in ground and this is the third summer I’ve had them and they’re only 4 1/2 to 5 feet tall and are loaded . What is the month you usually pick them ? How many degrees below 32 can the fruit handle for a short time ? You have very nice looking trees !

Hello! Usually we begin harvesting in December into January depending on temperature. We've found that they can stay on the tree for a long time, and the last week before picking really improves the sugar content. You definitely don't want to let them get much lower than 30 degrees if you have no frost protection. Last season when temperatures got down to the high 20's we harvested all the Shiranui's. 🍊

@@treeripefruit Ok thank you . They’re on the south side of house in kindve a protected area . I have a Meyer Lemon , Owari , Browns Select and a kumquat . It stays a bit warmer we’re they’re at . I could cover as some years we can get our first freeze in mid to late November. Thanks for your response and great video !
