It is a shame to see so many people waste their time on this video. The guy can't use a chain saw and told us nothing about the run time and recharge times of that battery.

I demoed this saw 4 almost 2 full charges 3 wks ago at home on my wood lot-I was vary impressed.
I was using the bigger battery
During the first hour + I kept on wondering when it was gonna give out on the 4 - 7" liming I was doing
In real time the battery lasted for well over 2 hr of work on the 1st charge
It charged up in about 3o min. as I was cleaning up
If the price ever comes down I will buy one without question, sadly I am not in the position to spend 700+ on a saw even it I want to

looks like a nice saw to take to a camp ground. No noise

I was running this saw for about 2 hours at about a 30-50% duty cycle ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxfQm1wmg0ItKDLavxj1nXtQY9HP7EF504 and it did a great job. I used the lever for the built in sharpener to clear chip buildup out more than to actually sharpen the chain. It managed to cut some hardwood stumps much larger than it's size without bothering the neighbors with hours of 2 stroke noise.

Built in sharpener?? I have this saw and didn't know about that?

I love it can you change the blade to a much bigger one?I did it with another chainsaw that had a 14 to a 20 inch and it worked.

Why has nobody who does those videos ever learned to use a chainsaw? You set it down on the log with the rear part of the blade, and use the weight of the saw and tilt it backwards and forwards to let it cut through the log. You DONT use the forward parts of the blade, and you dont pull the blade back and forth through the log.

stoneeh you clearly don't know much about chainsaws either you say (blade) it's not a blade it's a bar and chain do not criticize someone about something you don't know much about either

    • @markcarey8426
      @markcarey8426 6 років тому

He's probably not working the bar forwards and backwards but the chain is pulling it forward and he is responding by pulling it back.

That is a very good little tool very handy for tradespeople on the roof much more quieter than the petrol and not nearly as annoying. Im hoping they have an extension pole accessory for this machine. I have a palm tree I need to cut. I don't think this tool is available here in Western Australia..

Where are the dogs? You know, the steel teeth right below the bar on the saw body the bite into the tree trunk or limb you are trying to sever...

it looked like it had some problems with that 4x4.
This batterie stuff is improving for sure, but i'll take a gasoline chainsaw over a electric one anyday.

That not the goal with this chainsaw. If you want to fell a tree you'll need a stihl MS 260 or more. It depens what kind of tree....

I remember when I first touched a chainsaw- it was bad. You gotta start somewhere, right? Maybe next time, learn to use a chainsaw before posting a product review though.

Sorry agree if your going to Demo go into Battery information Charger time. Show also several other types Trees, Oakwood, Redwood, Cedar Euclipse Trees. Then show Battery Charges lenght time to charge the unit up. Then rough Retail Cost. You just wasted my Time watching this Garbage. This is poor quality coming from a Great Name like Stihl I am referring to the Demo person failure to brake down real concerns: Battery Life, Different Woods, Chargers and Battery Times. Finally suggested Retail cost Saw,Battery-Chargers Cost.
