All I can think of is, he's literally playing against the best possible defense the NFL could put together from the AFC, and he still makes them look like amateurs.
I forget what team said that the only way they could emulate Sanders ability the week of practice before playing him was to actually have two ball carriers. Think about how crazy that is...
I miss 90s Pro bowls. The people in the field were actually playing football. Look @2:22 The way the defender dives after him to try to prevent a td. Dam!
The TD he scores getting past Hall of Famer Junior Seau at 5:15 is awesome. You may think they're not playing hard because it's the Probowl but I can guarantee Seau had his mind set on stopping Barry from scoring. We're talking about one of the best linebackers to have ever played, tracked him all the way but Barry still managed to extend past for the TD! GOAT!!
This proves that the Lions should have done way more screens and short passes to Barry. If the Lions had been more creative with him he would have rivaled Faulks receiving numbers guaranteed.
had the lions drafted Randy Moss instead of Terry Fair in 1998 Barry would of stayed and most likely at least won a few playoff games later in his career.
He made defenders look so bad. Someone said he would tell his family to stay home when the Lions came to town because he didn't want to be embarrased. Lol It had to be a nightmare playing LB in the NFC Central in the '90s.
I remember a Monday Night game between the Lions and the Bucs. It was on Halloween night. Before each game, they always did a MNF skit. The one they did was absolutely hilarious. It was about a 7-8 year old boy that dressed up as Barry Sanders for Halloween. He went around the Tampa Bay area Trick-or-Treating. It showed him juking his way down the sidewalk, dodging and spinning around people as he made his way house to house. Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Fans would answer the door to hand out candy, they'd see him dressed as Sanders and scream as they slammed the door. It was priceless.
0:22 Berry Sanders is the ONLY player in NFL history who could make 2 Pro bowlers miss like that ! He was truly 1 of 1. Damn Lions wasted his greatness! Smh
For the life of me, I don’t understand how this guy is not known as the greatest player ever. Meanwhile, Brady can be the looked at as the best ever without doing nothing but throwing smh. Winning doesn’t make you the best player when they’re so many variables that have to go right. Barry does more than the next man.
BARRY SANDERS = 🐐
BIG FACTS
" There's only one guy who can make those moves. And you just saw that guy " - Madden
Unparalleled agility - Barry.
Barry sanders prophet of running backs
I have never seen a pro bowl Barry Sanders till today! Wow lol
This was back when the Pro Bowl was actually a competition!
Yeah because nobody wanted to look bad back then it was about pride not money.
@@tamaku2903 no, the winners got extra money.
All I can think of is, he's literally playing against the best possible defense the NFL could put together from the AFC, and he still makes them look like amateurs.
That's how great he was
2:56 that wiggle on the sideline. shook homie within a phone booth
Junior Seau
Sheesh
Is it just me or does it seem like they're actually playing hard in the pro bowl back then?
Nope. These players were ballin!
Absolutely. They didn’t want to get embarrassed. They wanted to be known as the best
Legs, ankles of IRON !! Barry Sanders irreplaceable.
Man oh man the days they use to tackle during the Pro Bowl
Mann...you got Jerry Rice and Sterling Sharpe out wide with Barry Sanders in the backfield. Pro Bowls used to be exciting to watch.
At a probowl they had Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Barry Sanders, Lawrence Taylor, Reggie White, Ronnie Lot all on the same team. Wtf hahahahaha
INCREDIBLE RARE FOOTAGE! Thank you so much for posting!!!
Man, I would love to have an early style Barry Pro Bowl jersey.
I have the Mitchell & Ness throwbacl but I want an original Wilson.
THE GREAT ONE
I forget what team said that the only way they could emulate Sanders ability the week of practice before playing him was to actually have two ball carriers. Think about how crazy that is...
Or chase and try to catch chickens in full pads... 😂😂
Yes! I believe that was Green Bay; i think that's how they prepared for him the year they held him to -2 yards in the playoffs! TWO dudes 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
One defensive coach actually made his defense chase chickens.
Barry hurt rod woodson and rod never made contact with Barry... greatest juke ever...
Rod was even avoiding Barry in the Pro Bowl lol
I thought I was the only one who remembered that 😉
I miss 90s Pro bowls.

When the Pro Bowl was one of the best games of the year!!
Man!

If you let ESPN and NFL network tell it, he has “no” power. Meanwhile Barry is stiff arming people left and right on nearly every highlight
Thank you....

Detroit didn't use him right sanders was a beast
Well, the Lions are notorious for destroying careers but sometimes you get a rose that rises out the heaps of failure that organization has produced.
@@cobrajones2335 crazy how they didn't even use him right and he STILL averaged over 1500 a season

I haven't heard it referred to as the NFC Central in a long time.
Thanks for this....
Barry Sanders like, I finally got a coach
Look at him behind a great O-line imagine if he Had one when he played😮💨
0:27 "Clay Matthews" oh jesus.
5:32 Rod Woodson makes an open field tackle on #20: Achievement unlocked!
Yeah he just tried to beat him with speed. He also broke his ankles during the season and injured him lol
He's out there making all pro defenders look like straight fools.
Cunningham and Sanders together would have been the scariest offense ever
The Best of The Best ..
The lions didn't use him right he can catch !!
Barry the Great
Unreal!!
Nice video. With all due respect to everyone’s favorite RB. Barry is the greatest ever. That’s only if your using your eyes to judge tho. 😂
Mane made #58 take a knee🤣🤣🤣
One dislike, don't understand that
Emmitt Smith fan probably

The plays starting at 2:40 👀
Crazy its a pro bowl and there playing it lime a real game.
Someone tell me when the pro bowl became a touch football game
Context...this is the pro bowl against current HOF defensive players. Every defender was like a first round ballot. Seau, Atwater, Woodson...
Yeah Barry is just sick
Hey look, somebody gave the poor guy a half decent O-Line
Yeah half decent... They didn't get to practice alot so the down the field blocking was non existent but yeah he still looked ridiculous.. too good

Jsn i love u man.aby deion probowl highlights?
lol.......I was working on it before you ask me
@@JsnHighlights1316 i saw thank u
Mind boggling to imagine what might have been if he had not been stuck on the worst franchise in all of pro sports
5:45 Brett Favre has just entered the chat 😂
Back when the pro bowl was the big deal.
STILL.Wondering...What would #20 numbers be like if Dallas had drafted Barry instead of Emmitt?...BTW...Am no Dallas fanboy
The only time Barry sanders had a good line.
Barry Sanders made great defensive players look average
