I really like these batteries. Such a smart company. Great instructions thanks Brad.
Me too. All the one's I have had through here have been nothing short of great. Glad they have a more budget friendly solution. Thanks!
1 More thing, Cells tested in the summer will test higher because of the heat, these same cells in Winter will test lower.
That's true. Thanks for pointing that out.
Great video and thanks.
V4 kits are great I have 2 and 1 v3.5! Even the budget brands that have bluetooth and low temp protect are in the $1200 range for this capacity and they usually have questionable quality cells, but can not beat the SFK on the size/capacity or serviceability.
Totally agree! Thanks
Good vid Brad. I made the mistake of putting the active balancer plate upside-down.. easy to do.. I really like the high contact area of their rept cells. It's what u want in a high current 12v application.
Thanks!
Great job
Thanks!
Good info thanks
No problem 👍
This is good, similar to when Lithium Solar did a review and the kit was around $1000 and this looks much improved.
Yes, I remember that video. They have improved. Thanks
👍👍
Good video.
Thanks!
Can you combine say several of these and have a lot more wattage together as a whole and be able to charge these with solar panels or a gas generator?
HJi, Brad, thanks for the video. I'm looking at systems, and looking for one particular feature:
The ability to turn off the bluetooth and use Hardwire.
I not only prefer the screen size of using my desktop, I like the idea that some nerd with a phone can't walk by and fry my system.
If you could point me in a direction, please?
Oh, and the big reason for the shims is to keep the Aluminum cases of the cells isolated from each other, The enamel will not suffice through years of heat and 60 Hertz vibrations.
They have a hardwired version with a passthrough port on the lid. It may not actually be finished, but I bet they can work with you.
@@BradCagle Thank you. This is good to hear.
May I ask the dimensions and material of the buss bars?
A T Burke
Brad my man… wow, you make a nice video, but you seriously need a better terminal crimper. Save that tool for basic stripping, and get yourself a nice dedicated crimp tool. They make them with flat anvils and ratcheting handle.
Oh you're talking about the small gauge "crimp" tool? Yeah I agree, I have a nice hydraulic for the larger stuff. Do you have a specific model? I'd like to take a look. Thanks!
One 220ah Timeusb LFP battery costs $549
Nice design. Kudos SFK.
How heavy is the completed unit? Must be approaching 30kg or 66 pounds?
Yeah they are great. Good question, I just went to weigh it, and the batteries in my scale are dead 😆
Hi, it is 55.4 LBS, under 25KG
@@BradCagle That's funny!
@@sfkenergy Thanks.
The printing going on backwards to the cells is messing with my OCD… if they want the rough side away from the cell, hey should reprint the spacers so the logo isn’t mirrored…
LOL, I'm OCD myself, but I did not notice that one, :) Thanks!
some delta pros are jealous on that capacity ./. just saying
Oh for sure :)
Too expensive for a kit you have to build
You can buy the same exact cells from EVE for $371 and the battery box from SFK for $310, and that total of $around $700 bucks is well worth this simple solution...
Yes I agree , you can buy an already assembled batt with warranty for same or less .
@@realeyesrealizereallies6828 $371 = guaranteed 100% grade B cells.
@@onthelake9554 SFK must make your life really hard, you can't find any clients to sell your junky cells and solutions?
Why erase my comment ?
I did not erase anything. You may have type some characters, a link, or words UA-cam filtered. What was your comment? Thanks
Ohh look its the turnigy boy... Didn't SFK guy school you enough or are you still telling people to run 100 amps on 10 gauge wire?
@@KoreanTacoKing Oh look it's the SFK guy hiding behind one his other accounts . Your a piece of work .
@@BradCagle Nope no links , I'll leave it alone since the SFK continues to attack me with his superior knowledge about electricity .
@@KoreanTacoKing If I remember right you said 10 gauge silicone wire on the tester wasn't enough for 40 amps . I said 10 gauge SILICONE wire is fine even at 100 and it is . Maybe YOU should learn .
