It’s not supposed to be set up on carpet that could be one of the issues you have with docking
Great review! Straight and to the point and gets to the heart of the matter. Thank you! I was going to purchase this vs. the cheaper RV2502AE and I think my decision is made because we have the 2502AE and it works very well for the most part. Why pay $150 more for this DetectPro one esp. after seeing it perform in your video.
I actually just got the 30-day version of this and I'm returning it to Amazon. Not only is it ramming into walls and scraping up all my baseboards and we're in the middle of trying to sell our house but it's doing the same thing. It's having problems docking and mine's on hard floors and it's still having problems. Docking you would think for the obstacle avoidance it would be avoiding more obstacles and less ramming into things including baseboards, but that's a total joke. I really wanted to love the shark robots because they do clean really well and especially I own a shark rocket which I love but this is terrible. I'm definitely returning this and going back to eufy I'm just so glad I opened it now and tested it out cuz I originally wasn't going to open it until we moved into our new home
my shark is awesome and very seldom ever hits any walls. If I don't want it going in a certain room I partially close the door and it never "bumps" it open . I am very particular to things touching my walls because I do the maintenance on my home and crisp paint and stained trim is a must with zero scratches. Shark does a great job at keeping my extra labor at bay. Only thing I don't like is when dust holds the vacuum door open and you have to call out a search party. Carpet kills these battery's as well. These robots don't create enough vacuum to clean a carpet down in the fibers like you want them to. Best bet is to keep clutter off of your floor. THE MORE JUNK YOU HAVE SITTING AROUND THE MORE CHANCE THESE SWEEPERS WILL GET STUCK ON IT. None of them are perfect by no means. If baseboards are an issue maybe the contractor cheeped out and never finished the job with some quarter round which was supposed to v=be installed for sweeping in the first place.
every new released robot vacuum is always a hit or miss, they always have to release a new update for robot vacuums just to fix the bugs!
I have this one...Love it. You can't set it up on the carpet...flat surface.
I had the shark with the auto empty bin earlier this year. I wanted to like it a lot but obstacle avoidance was garbage. Was at work and would constantly get alerts that it was stuck. I returned it because of it. Now, I want to like this one and thinking about giving it another chance with their newer model but I just don’t know. Looks like the verdict for me is actually gonna be with a Roborock model.

RoboRock is 100% chinese company and much more expensive too.
Is it just me or do people not pay attention when they leave crap all over the floor. And why are your pets shitting all over your house? Do we live in a barn? The vacuum for its price point performs amazing compared to those of sometimes double the price.

I’d really like some advice on what to get if anyone can help. I’m 23 and single so this is a big purchase I really need what I get to be worth it. I really need one of these as I work long hours and have 4 fur children. I don’t need poop detection that’s not really a problem I’ll have, I hope, but if it happens it’ll be on me. I’m willing to dish out the money if it means all I have to do is mop my floors. I have all hard wood and a few rugs nothing shag. I don’t care about my baseboards they’re ugly and I plan on replacing them when I sell. I have just under 1000 sq ft. Please any suggestions I’ve been on the verge of pulling my hair out. So many options so many opinions I’ve been researching for weeks.
I’ve had few sharks imo they are trash I hate them only decent one that ran for like 6 days without dying was think 752 that thing would bounce around almost smashing threw walls lol but overall I think they are trash
It's very cheaply made compared with the Roomba.
That’s disappointing. I usually like Shark products. I have cats and a dog. So if it can’t avoid messes it’s definitely a pass.
