    Yeah, SkinGen is verrry nice :) There isn't a lot of content with the free version, but the paid 4-in-1 bundle (which includes the premium plugin) is at a discount right now, so I suggest users try and pick that up.
    I exported all the Fuse templates a few weeks ago as well, just in case. The real question is Mixamo, which Adobe has also been planning to retire and there are hundreds of animations still to download.

    Thanks for the quick over view... gosh I reminder using Maya 6 back in 2004 and making realistic humans was a lot of effort and work to do... and then there was cloth and hair. Looking forward to you're next video. I'm loving you're work!

    Looking forward to your upcoming videos! What do you think about the auto-skin weighting for clothes in CC3? Cloth deformations seem to work reasonably well when posing characters. I wonder whether this could replace going through Marvelous Designer, at least for simple poses?

    Yo, question; Since you're primarily making a big animation, I was wondering how you go about the actual animation when it comes to stuff like walking or crowds? Do you animate every character individually, do you use the same rig for all or do you use some sort of animation library like the Action Editor?

    • @MartinKlekner
      @MartinKlekner  4 роки тому

      Hello, I have the same rig for all the characters and so far, I animate them individually, but I definitely need to explore this area some more, to streamline it :-)

    Do you add control curves to animate the characters in Blender, and if so, can you show how to do this please? Thx.

    Thank you for the video it's awesome as always, I downloaded the free version of the software and it is great so far! The only problem is that when I export a character as an fbx and try to open it in Blender, Blender stops responding and can't open the file, resulting in a crash of the software. At the moment I sort of resolved the problem by exporting as obj and connecting the different image textures like you did in the video but it would be nice to have it work with fbx files as well, just in case. Do you have any idea about it? Thanks again for the content

    How does this compare to manually sculpting and texturing a character? Do you think this will still be required in the future when Software like this gets better and better?

      This is more likely usefull for quick game characters or background character in distance for film. If you want very specific characters then you have to start from scratch

    prices just uuuuh. Did You try DAZ, by the way? It's free, and i saw Robert Sammelin (amazing artist) somehow used it + Blender to create several amazing looking artwokrs. I'm beginner, and would be superb to see - how could we use these two free amazing software? Anyway - Thank You very much for Your videos. Watching them all in order now!))

    are the models created with character creator 100% yours after you make them?

    • @MartinKlekner
      @MartinKlekner  3 роки тому

      They are your own, and you can use them both in commercial and personal projects, but you can not re-sell and re-purposed content from CC for selling, meaning, you can't provide these characters in a game or 3d scene or any other package, that other people could then get their hands onto. hm interesting but why not use daz + substance maybe?

    • @MartinKlekner
      @MartinKlekner  4 роки тому

      I never really liked Daz so I never got to it, something about the older versions just always kept me away from it, it didn't seem very user friendly and results were meh. Maybe the newer versions are batter, from what I've seen, there are some decent human meshes nowadays. And SP, sure, you can use that for skin, but for my purposes, it's too slow, if I want to finish my film in this century :-D ;-)

      @MartinKlekner  4 роки тому +1

      @@aeonbreak4728 Ah, sorry, didn't mean the software is slow, but painting skin by hand or even generating it with provided materials is slow, when compared to CC3+ workflow :-)

    • @Oxidus
      @Oxidus 4 роки тому

      Not really. You just export their character base to ZBrush, modify it, and then re-import into CC3 to have your own custom morph slider which youc an use on any other character. You can even combine these for some killer customizations.
