I can't get enough of playing with my shapeshifter, awesome convo. Such an amazing paddle! Matt provided me with a slightly lower swing weight 115 since the slight variances occur from the factories
So I bought one last week, got it yesterday, put 12 grams (6 per side) of tungsten tape from the top of the grip and up to the 3-9 line on the paddle. ( I used the Selkirk tungsten ) . Put my UDrippen overgrip on and took it to the courts, warmed up with it, had my Thrive Azule paddle in the bag as a backup if I wasnt comfortable with it , was playing with 3 other really good players all playing with GB Pro Powers and one Ultimate. The Shapeshifter was really really nice right from the start. there is just something about that paddle. my drops and soft game were better than they have ever been. seriously, I was able to keep the ball lower across the net and place it where I wanted to . I was amazed. the control was so much better for me, even better than my 6.0 Ruby was before I switched that out to the Thrive Azule. Power, it has plenty, didnt want for more. I played for 3 hours straight with it , my play partners were complimenting me on my play. I have a new best buddy, the way to describe the feel is you dont notice the paddle doing its thing, it's more like an extension of your hand. it just kind of disappears when playing. Amazing little paddle.
Some awesome insights! I just did a breakdown video of the entire Chorus line-up, and I thought I was getting into the nitty gritty... But this is next level! Great work as always, dude! 💪
I love the Diadem 18k paddles and I’m a musician too, so this interview helped finally sell me on picking up a Chorus Shapeshifter! Great stuff - thanks!
Waiting for my Shapeshifter to arrive, but if Chorus is looking to make a singles paddle, power and control at a high swing weight, 125-130, and at least 8.3-8.5 oz to start.
excellent interview. Chorus should come out a good pickleball video game, lol. like, the shapeshifter is just the right combo of materials at the right time. ive been going back and fourth btwn like 6 paddles to sidegrade my DbD and i settled on the shapeshifter when it restocks in august. from the reviews, it fits what i need, the DbD's plushness for 3rds but more pop and more shape at the net for dinks/rolls. im really excited for the orange color and no ribbed grip. (examples of others i considered are the ronbus FX1, hurrache x, shogun, the kevs look interesting like the jk & mark lines, & hurrace kev)
Great interview. "sweet spot" measuring is something PLAYERS PICKLEBALL does with some kind of technology to give us an idea. Wish more companies used other than PP cores. Seems to be the weak link in the whole process. Patents was the other cost Matt forgot. Some companies get them, others don't. It's all about "feel" for me, so glad to hear Matt focus on this.
Great company with excellent products and customer service.

Yeah the paddle is great - full review coming soon
Good conversation. Would have been great if you had ever touched on durability. How does the most expensive weave finally hold up?
Well done son. Proud of where you want to take your company.

Great discussion and info. Love your business model. I think getting the handle down to 4” is important.
Thanks for watching!
I’m in between the Shapeshifter and Shogun…would love to see a comparison of these two paddles!

Dig the Yamaha NS10 speakers in the background. :)

A man of culture!

Players was definitely the first to try and quantify this - their method has lots of potential. Thanks for your thoughts!
Shapeshifter best paddle l ever used handle little big hope they make little small good paddle ever
Every time I get ready to pull the trigger and buy a paddle, It's always sold out! 🤨
