Conversations with SB16 co-curators | Ocean Space, Venice| 19 April 2024

Sharjah Art Foundation partnered with TBA21 to present Stephanie Comilang’s Search for Life. Diptych (2024-2025). The work was commissioned by TBA21, Sharjah Art Foundation and The Vega Foundation for the upcoming Sharjah Biennial 16 (SB16).
The event began with an introduction by Hoor Al Qasimi, Director of Sharjah Art Foundation, and Markus Reymann, co-director of TBA21, followed by a conversation between SB16 co-curator Amal Khalaf, artist Stephanie Comilang and TBA21 curator Chus Martínez discussing Comilang’s artwork.
The programme concluded with a presentation by SB16 co-curators: Alia Swastika, Amal Khalaf, Megan Tamati-Quennell, and Natasha Ginwala.
