Knowing all this, i see now the fire within him isn't out, but rathered contained, and once he feels he's ready, that fire will blaze on freely again.
That’s honestly a great way to sum up his character. I have hope the fire within him will grow strong again and his life will be fixed.

The problem I have with this is Ryu should actually been notified about Kens status and started looking to help him.
from the ryu interactions video he said he knows about ken's situation (not the details) but doesn't approach him because he "has his reasons why ken doesn't want to get in touch yet"
And what would ryu do exactly? There isn’t much he can do.some advice could help but ken has to resolve this on his own
@@brendaspence1824 Help his fighting spirit,fight him to clear his head the same way Ken did in alpha. Or watch over his family be it a distance or whatever. Hell, we could get Ryu and Mel interactions

It's interesting watching Ken pasts as time goes showing different illustrations from past games:
The day he and Eliza started dating (3rd pic on the bottom left from SF Alpha),
The day Ken marries Eliza (1st pic on the top left from SF2),
The day Eliza gives birth to Mel (2nd pic on the middle left from SF4),
The day Ken starts training his son and gets punched in the groin (4th pic on the top right from SF 3),
And currently now as Mel is grown up (5th pic on the middle right from SF6).
What a journey for Ken.
Now I'm sad about it's drastical change of life, but honestly better that the leaks voices, at least with Eliza there's still bonding

ken lecturing you about throwing reckless moves around like that terrified me. i thought he was actually yelling at me for a second when i saw this scene for the first time
I really hope Ken doesn't end up going down a dark path, I had seen in it a lot in fighting games, and they sometimes have a tragic ending for the characters that took the dark route.
He doesnt, yet. Cuz he still thinking about his family which is mel and eliza. In guile dialogue, he ask ken to go back to eliza and mel but ken refuse. He choose hiding and hes still having grudge against JP who totally frame him in and out.
It's never too late to ask either Ryu or Rose.

Seeing Ken with his fighting spirit extinguished is somewhat sad, at least as being his student maintains his passionate flame, however he is not free, he is still chained by his responsibilities.
A little fun fact: the guy who is currently voicing Ken is the same one who voiced Shoto Todoroki from MHA.

I think it's actually a reference to the Ken Masters' online fighting school lessons, Ken made in Rival Schools.
Hearing the new voice of Ken makes me think that the guy voicing him would've made a great voice actor for a Transformers or a Ninja Turtles character someday imo.
So both Ryu and Ken work construction as their job (well Ryu works in construction as one of his jobs)

I don't know about anyone else, but I feel kinda shafted on this story...
What I mean to say is; I wish there was a little more fanfare to Ken's story, not just some written text and obscure images. I would have loved to see a series of events that lead up to the Nashville incident to his setup, followed by his fall from grace leading him to go off the grid.
I'm hoping there's just parts that are missing in this video because with Ken being such a star player in the Street Fighter series, I'd hope he'd get more in his story than text based exposition of:
"Yeah this and that happened... Anyways moving on."
Read the Prologue manga. It tells you how Ken got to this position. Plus he's just telling stories about himself to the player since not everyone knows about Ken and what he used to be. And his Arcade ending serves the purpose of Ken's inner struggle and what he's trying to do next. It's not perfect but it's just setting up the pieces for an eventual follow up so patience is required.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad there's at least something for it. But personally one of my biggest pet peeves in video game story telling is when they use 3rd party sources to tell their game's story (via books or web series) because the can't be bothered to fully delve into the story or put it in the game (Halo also does that)
That aside I was hoping there would be more considering how much Street Fighter had changed over the years in the way their games told the stories of each of their fighters

Also I get it though IMO I feel like they're not gonna dump all story stuff in Day 1. We'll probably/hopefully get more stuff in later seasons especially given Ken's ending possibly hinting at Violent Ken or a new dark Ken so for now, we're just given info through minimal means at the moment.

@@keondramcintyre3444 the type of training they had to go through from the looks of it doesn’t seem like just anyone can learn the fighting style. Same with the Kusanagi style and many forms of Ninjutsu in DOA. Just about everyone who has tried has only made poor imitations to it. I think Sakura is the closest to probably understanding the style if she trains with Ryu instead of wasting her time.
@@kaom4713 With Shingo, he's actually got the basics of Kusanagi style down pack. Shingo's actually drawback is his stance given that his build is more muscular than Kyo's (Hence Shingo hitting very hard and being very durable), and it messes up his center of gravity(Hence the times he fails on his face). Shingo just needs adjust his own Kusanagi stance to fit his body.😶

Iirc he didn’t divorce his wife, he just needed to abandon the family and go into hiding because of the whole situation of being framed for a terrorist, which is pretty sad
