This story really shows how much of an upgrade in villain we got in JP. This guy took one of the worlds most popular and loved fighters and ruined him. Turned his family and friends against him and sees it all as amusing. Not only that but the physchogical damage he did too Ken is insane even telling him killing him would just make him what he hates. While Bison, Gill, and Seth are monsters in their own right JP has raised the bar and I hope will be around a long time. I can't wait to see where the story will go between him and Ken.
@@Flokoli1 I can see JP bringing it out with his power and letting him run loose. Imagine if he basically went to people like Luke and Chun-Li saying how their friend has finally lost it. Could probably bring in Ryu trying to calm him or Akuma trying to encourage it.

JP is a different kind of villain because he believes he's not even a fighter. As a kid when I played Street Fighter 2. I didn't think much of Ken. He was like the Yamcha to Ryu's Goku _(original Dragon Ball)._ I was never really a fan of SF2. So beyond it and the live action movie, which I criticized, but still like as a kid, and is a guilty pleasure now. That's all I knew. Many years later I watched the Japanese anime series and movies. Which I enjoyed and led to me reading the stories behind all the, then current games and detailed character bios. I learned that Ken is actually a good character. I started playing Street Fighter Alpha on the Saturn emulator earlier this year. After several UA-camr re sparked my interest in the series. Which lead to my watching the SF2 Movie again when it appeared in my suggested videos list. Which after watching. I think Ken is my favorite character. He's definitely the most interesting of the 3 main male heroes He's not a 2 dimensional character like Ryu, and. He's not the Conservative Poster Boy for the US like Guile.
I don’t have the game so I can only use this video and others to understand the characters stories and what not. But imagine JP pushes Ken to the point that he actually transforms into “Violent Ken”. To beat and even kill JP. And somehow this further frames Ken and makes Mel fear Ken. Then Ken seeks out Ryu to help him learn to control and maybe even use his new dark form. In the hopes to use it to clear his name and take out those who worked with JP. Having Ken go on his own journey of redemption and honor.
Everyone keeps saying he’s divorced when he’s not?? He’s just separated from his family to protect them and I think his wife knows that too. And now that Guile knows he’s planning to look into the Nayshall business too.
Wish that ken and ryu reunited right now. After everything that he had to go through because of JP,he seriously needs his wise friend for consolation. Also he's probably the only one right now believing that ken, in fact,is not a murderer
According to 6’s arcade mode, Kens name was cleared, but its likely he’s staying under the radar, likely at the advice of guile or chun li, until the truth comes to light. Personally, I can see see him being able to call his wife and son. No direct meet ups, but chats over the phone seem possible if you ask me.
They didn't even cover the X-Men vs street fighter games...the ending to those games when you won with Ken was a cut scene where the entire game was actually Ken and his son playing X-Men vs street fighter. It was awesome, and his son looked older than what was shown in the Manga. Yes, this story is interesting, but it doesn't match the Ken as a good family man that is shown in so many of the games. Honestly, I prefer the story of Ken just leading an exemplary ordinary family man life. It lets those of us who have chosen to do so believe that there are secret champions among us.
This is the best scenario to finally introduce a violent Ken in an official SF franchise, the amount of stress on Ken in his current storyline would be perfect to have him either embrace his innate psycho-power or even better tap into the satsui no hado with Akuma talking and goading him like Ryu, hopefully he can get to get his first kill on JP in his dark state.
As a kid i vividly remember a street fighter movie or series where ken and ryu where both teens and they didnt not have their iconic gi on as this was before thwy became how they are in the games. And i remdmer them stubbling into a gang in a ally way. This is where they ran and fought the gang. But i cant fins the movie or series now. Was it just me?? Cause i vividly remmer that scene and how the movie of them being young mates growing into fighters
Stories/timelines in tournament fighting games usually don't make any sense or even straight up silly. They can throw in a Just Bison, where he has no psycho power and a Max Akuma before he embraced the dark hado for the heck of it.
those sf6 prequel comics actually make Luke seem like he's got more depth and character than he seems in-game, which begs the question why is none of that apparent IN the game itself??
Ken also had the most powerful move in SF 2 because at that time the shoryuken was invincible on it's way up. And Ken's hit you twice and covered more distance.
Wait, the lady that meets Ken is Kalima, the leader of the resistance we meet in World Tour? Somehow that was lost on me. The design is very different.
Honestly if they go the Spiderverse Peter Parker route where he is at a low point, but still keeps all of his good personality traits in tact, I think it would be fine.
22:55 ... ...so, by the logic of *this* sudden revelation of the now Framed Champion Masters..., ...imagine Sonic the Hedgehog undergoing this kind of ordeal...AGAIN, considering what happened with him in *Sonic Adventure 2.* The world's fastest hedgehog would revert to the South Island, hiding away from the G.U.N. (Guardian Unit of Nations) ...and then, what about his best friend Miles "Tails" Prower? If he can't find a way to make an acquittal for the Hedgehog, then there's no helping him at all; *Tails would have to distance himself from Sonic.* ...what about Amy Rose? *Sonic would have to distance himself from her;* he wouldn't want to have to show himself to save her once again. ...now imagine the ordeal approaching the age-old legendary Karate Kid Daniel LaRusso. He would have to TRY to find a way not to be found by the police; how long would that last? It would appear to be that the careless, easygoing, laid-back, over-confident characteristic once found attractive enough to gain popular reception... *has now become bait for pure envy.* At this point, *anyone* who has not yet come out on top could look at the Ken, the Sonic, the LaRusso of today's world, *and immediately target them for personal gain.* Failure in *exploitation* of such a popular person only means more fodder for the underdog in question; just call the police on them and FRAME them as part of a *blackmailing scheme.* That kind of narrative plot just might work, *given the right motive.* It could really let 'em know just how far off the deep end they are in their fame - not to benefit the underdog in question, mind you, but just to take a curious look where their reception is going. Are we still sending the same old cheers to our dearly beloved, good ol' friendly neighborhood heroes..., or have we suddenly lost touch with them, only acting out as casually toward them as they have acted out in response to their reception? We've practically grown extremely fond of these our heroes. But now..., *time has changed, and we've carried on to other things.* We've most certainly seen Sonic make an outstanding return with a greater spark of fervor than he had in his debut..., but I'm afraid it won't be enough for this his return to stand out strong. *Something has to happen in order for us to see a definitive change within him.* If not a touch of envy and a blackmailing scheme that comes with it, then what...?
Ken and Ryu's first fight in Street Fighter V was not interrupted Ken won that fight, it's after the fight ends that Karin's ninja appears to inform him about Karin's plans, as Ken and Ryu had more fights as seen one remembered by them where Eliza was present which Ken also won.
I really miss the style of SF2. The new games are great but the bare bones SF2 really made you focus the basics (footsies, cornering, attack angles, etc). I like 32hit combos like the next guy but there's something to be said for the slower paced game
What is it with modern writers taking beloved, established characters and ruining their lives? Luke Skywalker, Ken Masters, the old Ghostbusters? The writers took every chance they could to ruin theses men's lives...
I'd like to see Violent Ken in SF6 as a DLC The path he's going on is going to corrupt him, then we can have him meet Ryu who looks like their teacher now and bring him back to his old self. I'd like to see him master the soul and psycho power I know they're both one side of the same coin but it'd be an interesting character change. Hell even if with the new M. Bison it would be cool to see Bison come back amnesiatic with some good intent.
I dont like how Capcom had Ken play out all threw the series cause Ken really beat Ryu more but of course they didn't want that to play out cause Ryu was thr main character
it's sad how ken end up like this and he was doing so well in his younger years I guess that doesn't last for long it makes me sad to see him like this at least ryu is still wondering Warrior
I had a third strike manga that depicted Ken being way stronger that Ryu because he had a reason to fight his son. But I didn't finish the series just that volume.
I always thought since Ken could never beat Ryu in the martial arts side of things at least his consolation was a mostly happy life outside of that but bro really can't have nothing
Ken has won more times with Ryu than what is said in this video, the fight that he says was interrupted is false because Ken won that fight the ninja appears after Ryu gets up, and as is also shown a fight where Eliza was present and Ken also wins, and it's confirmed that Ken and Ryu have fought more times than seen with a different winner, and it's very possible that Ken defeated Ryu in Street Fighter 2 by promising to get married with Eliza if she defeats Ryu in Street Fighter 2.
A brainwashed Ken shows up in Alpha @11:50, but then the video says his 1st appearance in a SF game is in USF2 @21:13. Is the reason that Alpha isn't considered the 1st appearance because he is not explicitly named "Violent Ken" and just "Ken"?
I like violent Ken as long as his transformation has no serious consequences or tragic ramifications to his overall character they can always bring him back
If Ken might will be the hero taking down JP that's fine but it's a shame he has the best story of Street Fighter 6 but his story left open ended I don't think the comic book answers any questions Street Fighter 7 might be in development to.
One of the theories i saw were that Sean would be one of the DLC and help Ken in this whole thing. I don't personally believe this if i'm being honest, but i would really like If they did.
I think the issue with Ken is and why he was popular in media, even though he was a mid to top tier character competitively. If you look at MK and Tekken, when see their main characters win los, become the hero and become the villain. We have seen their rivals, parents, or someone with less skill and ability also win. Then we got to see a redemption arc of the main characters. In SF Ken is always toss to the side, is always RYU that’s the hero, the winner. There doesn’t seem like any growth in him as a fighter.

Violent Ken will be Epic
Everyone keeps saying he’s divorced when he’s not?? He’s just separated from his family to protect them and I think his wife knows that too. And now that Guile knows he’s planning to look into the Nayshall business too.
Wish that ken and ryu reunited right now. After everything that he had to go through because of JP,he seriously needs his wise friend for consolation. Also he's probably the only one right now believing that ken, in fact,is not a murderer
Fantastic work as always my friend
Are Violent Ken and Evil Ryu equal, or will there always be a single winner?
I hope SF7 has Mel as a playable fighter.
I like this Ken. Him and Evil Ryu from Capcom vs SNK are my favorite characters
He has been my favorite character since i 1st laid my hands on SF2
A Ken spin-off live action would be dope. The story would be more believable than any Street Fighter stories
Don’t we already have that?
Assassin's Fist?

Damn! So that's where they took the Target Renegade cover from!! (an old 8-bit computer beat'em up)
This is the best scenario to finally introduce a violent Ken in an official SF franchise, the amount of stress on Ken in his current storyline would be perfect to have him either embrace his innate psycho-power or even better tap into the satsui no hado with Akuma talking and goading him like Ryu, hopefully he can get to get his first kill on JP in his dark state.
Looks like Ken will have his own Martial Awakening just like Ryu mastering his dark side. That would be epic!
Damn, It's like they turned Ken into Naofumi from Shield Hero.
The info you clicked for starts @ 23:00.
Technicly...ending of sf 5 surpassed point of timeline where street fighter 3
I was suprised to:)
Ken really deserves a lot more than what he gets. He needs to shine as high as ryu does and have a victory
Ken got Winter Soldier’d and Civil War’d in one game, Jeez. 😢
Ken also had the most powerful move in SF 2 because at that time the shoryuken was invincible on it's way up. And Ken's hit you twice and covered more distance.
Ken's theme will forever be burned into my head. It's super catchy
Mighty wings cheap trick 😉
Wait, the lady that meets Ken is Kalima, the leader of the resistance we meet in World Tour? Somehow that was lost on me. The design is very different.
Honestly if they go the Spiderverse Peter Parker route where he is at a low point, but still keeps all of his good personality traits in tact, I think it would be fine.
This was awesome. Thanks
Nothing says big daddy like a shelf full of computer games.
Ken has been my favorite since 98 ..🐐

...
...so, by the logic of *this* sudden revelation of the now Framed Champion Masters...,
...imagine Sonic the Hedgehog undergoing this kind of ordeal...AGAIN, considering what happened with him in *Sonic Adventure 2.* The world's fastest hedgehog would revert to the South Island, hiding away from the G.U.N. (Guardian Unit of Nations)
...and then, what about his best friend Miles "Tails" Prower? If he can't find a way to make an acquittal for the Hedgehog, then there's no helping him at all; *Tails would have to distance himself from Sonic.*
...what about Amy Rose?

That blow up doll Eliza is classic
Street Fighter II: The World Warrior was actually rushed,
even that close-up of me during the ending was scary looking.
I hope Ken gets redeemed at least in the eyes of his family.
I mean, come on, even his son and wife hate him, that's just cruel.
No they don't. It has been confirmed in the game that Ken left his family to protect them. Even Guile knows he's innocent.
What is it with modern writers taking beloved, established characters and ruining their lives? Luke Skywalker, Ken Masters, the old Ghostbusters? The writers took every chance they could to ruin theses men's lives...
Can't leave out everyone's favorite web-slinger the writers love to hate.
@@capamerica012 dude wrong video. No Spider-man here.
I'd like to see Violent Ken in SF6 as a DLC
The path he's going on is going to corrupt him, then we can have him meet Ryu who looks like their teacher now and bring him back to his old self.
Akuma spent all this time focusing on ryu's Satsui no hadou, but Ken is about to go through his own Satui no Hadou ark
Like Mortal Kombat, I'm waiting for the final version to be released disc before I buy it. Ken getting the bud light/sub-zero treatment
it's sad how ken end up like this and he was doing so well in his younger years I guess that doesn't last for long it makes me sad to see him like this
at least ryu is still wondering
Warrior
@8:40 dey got my boi Ken lookin like Chuck Norris 😂😂
I see top hat has changed the pronunciation of sagat lol
Ken defeated Akuma in the animated series that appeared on USA Network.
Please do videos on Ryu, Rolento, Ibuki, & R.Mika
imagine ken's interactions with cody in street fighter 6
I had a third strike manga that depicted Ken being way stronger that Ryu because he had a reason to fight his son. But I didn't finish the series just that volume.
That plot sounds like something the US cartoon would come up with.
after 3 decades of playing second fiddle he's finally on equal footing.
doesn't matter he still a big fan favorite.. and he has cool moves
So Ken is Street Fighter’s version of Vegeta.
SFA3 had the laziest version of Violent Me…
I like violent Ken as long as his transformation has no serious consequences or tragic ramifications to his overall character they can always bring him back
3rd strike Ken was the most handsome.
I was like 33-years-old in 3rd Strike.
@@KenMasters. perfect daddy
Must be hard on Eliza and her son. Hopefully Guile can sort him out, being his brother-in-law and all
If Ken might will be the hero taking down JP that's fine but it's a shame he has the best story of Street Fighter 6 but his story left open ended I don't think the comic book answers any questions Street Fighter 7 might be in development to.
Street fighter 7 is almost certainly not in development
Most likely additional content since new characters are suppose to be integrated into world tour
It will most likely be DLC to finish the story down the line
One of the theories i saw were that Sean would be one of the DLC and help Ken in this whole thing.
I don't personally believe this if i'm being honest, but i would really like If they did.
@@renren47618 I'd really like to see a return of violent ken
I think the issue with Ken is and why he was popular in media, even though he was a mid to top tier character competitively. If you look at MK and Tekken, when see their main characters win los, become the hero and become the villain. We have seen their rivals, parents, or someone with less skill and ability also win. Then we got to see a redemption arc of the main characters. In SF Ken is always toss to the side, is always RYU that’s the hero, the winner. There doesn’t seem like any growth in him as a fighter.
Still can’t believe the only Crypto bro the internet tolerates is Ken Masters.
We deserve Crypto Bro Ken and Violent Ken as a DLC
