Let’s get real. The tyres on most models and the one featured are Goodyear Wrangler HT or Highway Terrain. The clue is in the word ‘highway’. They are great on the road and off it in the dry but pretty useless when it gets really slippery. 4wd is pretty much essential on damp grass on the slightest slope. AT tyres are available of course and they stand for All Terrain. These are far better and a better compromise for working vehicles where its potential is at least somewhat explored. Don’t get me wrong though, these are excellent tyres for roads and towing and off road in high traction conditions. It is a great vehicle, no doubt about it. My 2014 Ranger is good but the 2023 new generation is great with the 202hp 2 litre twin turbo mated to 10 speed auto with a two speed transfer box. It’s a pity that the Wildtrak doesn’t come standard with surround cameras and the Power Pack in the UK though. Especially the Power Pack which adds so much for so little cost.
I have 2021 wildtrack on a 3 year lease lots of upgrade on the new one, looking forward to get the new one next year. Highly recommend them. Had a land cruiser the ranger is almost half the price of the land cruiser and like it much more.
@@Tjw1 hi mate. I’m not sure TBH. It may be an extra…. Mine is the wildtrak, but didn’t come with it. I absolutely love it though and it comes with a lot as standard, so I’m not too fussed about the 3 pin plug or wireless charging pad. I look forward to driving it all the time. Get one!!!
@@VinceNysse cheers Vince, just stuck a deposit on one, mostly as it's a no brainer against tax. Glad your enjoying yours, you had much rain in the back, the older ones let loads of water in the load section
@@Tjw1 I’ve got a limited company and it’s a lease vehicle through the company, so great for tax! Getting a truck man colour coded hard top fitted end of July so hopefully should be ok with regards to rain. I’ve already done 2k miles in it and it’s lovely to drive. You won’t be disappointed
That’s the Power Pack that is not standard on UK Wildtrak and some dealers have forgotten to order it for their stock order cars. It adds the inverter with 240V socket, switch pack on the ceiling along with pre-wiring for accessories, the wireless phone charger and the USB on the rear view mirror housing for a dash cam. Those that did not order this should be shot at dawn in my opinion.
