Diesel guy here.....beat the Cummins hard on break in, those cylinder walls will glaze on you if you don't load it properly. Diesels hate light loading. Do an oil analysis in about 500-1000 miles to check on things. Check out the Filtration Solutions FS2500 bypass filter system, it'll save your engine and transmission.
I would like some sort of explanation of why the glazing is a bad thing - my guess would have been that glazed walls would be an acceptable feature as it should reduce friction between piston and wall Not trying to be a smartass, I'm just curious as glazed brakes is so low friction you might as well not bother trying to use them, and with that logic I would have guessed glazed cylinders could be almost desirable
@emil3672 the piston rings in a modern diesel are moderate tension to reduce friction but still offer longevity. The key is the weight of the oil. Most, if not all, late model diesels use 10W30 oil instead of the 15W40 from back in the day.
Yo! The boys are back! Hey on the 6.7 when you bleed the cooling system, press the cruise button on your steering wheel and press set + to raise the rpm's. Its a warmup feature built in to the cummins trucks. Make your job a little quicker for the future!

You've never seen a fire suppression tank/bottle I take it? It will be the only thing still intact in a bad crash. Even if it's the first thing in the front of the car.
@@sirmonkey1985 I wouldn't put safety equipment in the front crumple zone when a fully certified cage is right there. If it's fire suppression for the driver, it goes right next to the driver. Especially at these speeds.
Apparently, no one here understands what a fire suppression system is. It doesn't matter where the tank is at lol lines are routed throughout, in this case, the car. Mainly routed to where the driver is and the engine compartment. The tank is just what holds the fire suppression chemical. Look and any piece of heavy equipment. Same principle.

You can aim 20 suppression nozzles right on your ass, if your fire suppression bottle gets ripped out in that crash the nozzles and lines aren't woth anything. That's the whole fkin reason to put the entire system inside the rollcage.

All you need is an a hey gauge cluster, they come in either three or four and on our rigs we have them set up the top one as EGT’s, the second one boost, the third one diff or trans temperature. Make sure you break in it properly, ours makes 800 hp with a twin turbo set up at 8000 feet.

Looks like he tightened his until it just started to wheelie, and clearly he is leaving harder but I think yours may be faster if you can get it to dig like his. Good luck!

The UK could get away with it, because it is much smaller and the grid needed wouldnt be too insane. Due to US landmass, the grid needed to sustain all EV in the US, would be the size of the state of Arizona. The infrastructure for that is literally 50 years off still.
Kyle's mr2 should be in the 6's tbh... No reason it shouldnt be.. Kyle just doesnt really drag race all that much, so its impressive he even held the record until now when the car gets driven like 2-3 times a year at the track.

If Kyle was spending all year focusing on dialing this car in, he would have been in the 6's a while ago.. A chassis that light, sequential, making 1500whp, is 100% capable of 6 seconds. Its not really up for debate.

It really is amazing that he has already gone 7.5 constantly changing things and on such limited testing. He has a 25-cert roll cage. If a stock body EK can go mid-low 6's so can an MR2. I mean, if you have seen a limiting factor in their chassis so far, let me know, but I dont think they have had 1 chassis issue at all.

He does not have a professional staff, and he is a youtuber, so he can't really dedicate the time needed to get everything out of the car. On top of that, I think the MR2 has only been put on "kill" like 3 or 4 passes total. So the car has not even been tested much at full potential.
They're going to go a lot faster than that eventually but he just made a lot of changes, going to have to get back to where they were first.. I bet there's a deep 7.4 or 7.3 in this setup
heared about using a sander (or was it an airchissel?) to clean the doormats , the vibrations lets the sand jump up out of the carpet mr sam can probably advise you on wat to use for wat when detailing the truck , he makes a living out of it , you can probably have the dent in the bumper pulled / hammerplaned out without damaging the chrome and repolish it like new maibe tye or sam can help you with that when youre at the track though i dont know if there sheetmetal fabricators or construction fabricators , theres a bit of a difference trying to make metal fit or trying to force / push it intoo shape

You gotta beat on the Cummins to break it in, do full pulls with early shifts, load up the bed or tow a heavy trailer, diesels love being loaded down. According to diesel guys, it helps the engine maintain better compression and in general a longer life, they're not like freshly built gas engines which prefer light loads during the break-in process.
I could be wrong about this but that looks like the OG 1000hp K20 MR2 that was racing vipers and gtrs and stuff on a 1320 highway video. If it is that car it's awesome that they're still pushing it like that

I'd keep the fire safety INSIDE the cage with you. If you ding a wall, there goes your safety before you're even on fire.
The nice thing with the mr2 is you have tons of crash structure in the front and plenty of safe locations to mount it so it'll be fine.

heared about using a sander (or was it an airchissel?) to clean the doormats , the vibrations lets the sand jump up out of the carpet
mr sam can probably advise you on wat to use for wat when detailing the truck , he makes a living out of it , you can probably have the dent in the bumper pulled / hammerplaned out without damaging the chrome and repolish it like new maibe tye or sam can help you with that when youre at the track though i dont know if there sheetmetal fabricators or construction fabricators , theres a bit of a difference trying to make metal fit or trying to force / push it intoo shape

A trick for detailing, if you have something that can vibrate like a sawzall or orbital sander, set that on the carpet and vacuum the dirt out

You gotta beat on the Cummins to break it in, do full pulls with early shifts, load up the bed or tow a heavy trailer, diesels love being loaded down. According to diesel guys, it helps the engine maintain better compression and in general a longer life, they're not like freshly built gas engines which prefer light loads during the break-in process.

I could be wrong about this but that looks like the OG 1000hp K20 MR2 that was racing vipers and gtrs and stuff on a 1320 highway video. If it is that car it's awesome that they're still pushing it like that
