Russian Federation's Tagir Khaibulaev wins gold in the men's -100kg judo event defeating Mongolia's Tuvshinbayar Naidan at the ExCeL - North Arena 2 at the London 2012 Olympic Games (2 August).
Judo made its very first appearance at the Olympic Games in 1964 in Tokyo. However, it was not included in the Olympic programme in 1968 in Mexico City, but returned, never to leave again, at the 1972 Games in Munich. As for women's judo, it was added to the Games in 1992 in Barcelona.
Men and women now compete in seven weight categories. There was originally a men's category open to all weights, but this event was withdrawn after the 1984 Games in Los Angeles.

Swiggity swooty I'm comin for that booty.

Okay this is a weird comment, but @6:48 it looks like Putin removes his watch for some awkward reason, then puts it back on....
@@justin57153 nice man! why is he doing that? and why so fast? looks like he is doing that every day. :-D
Both with AMAZING sportsmanship. I have never watched judo before, but the sportsmanship between them really made me smile
I was a judoka not long ago, it's. Beautiful sport with amazing sportsmanship and sense of community and care. I miss it a lot.
here people are praising the Mongolian guy
but russian guy also deserves applause bcoz he didn't attacked his injured leg
Mongolia nadian was hurt watch hum climbing the stairs he could barely walk but he still wrestles in the olympics and gets silver how motivational momgolians are really powerfull
LamulatttrtorplatiesKemtsaG You’re so mean. All of Mongolians are not living on the grass. Please increase your knowledge. Read or google it about Development of Mongolia. Then comment it!!!
Lmao making excuses cuz his country lost. That’s a yikes from me
Can't be that powerful if he can't walk up steps

@Donal Finn Yes, he is a man and real hero of Mongolia.

Imagine how happy that Russian guy must have been being able to win the finals in front of his leader (everyone knows just how Patriotic some Russians are towards Putin, he really is like an idol to most people) and being able to hug him. Sure, the Mongolian guy was injured, but you can't help but feel incredibly happy for the Russian guy
*Muslim.
I like the way Tuvshinbayar Naidan actually accepts that he lost. What a wrestler!
i think beside the russian guy's luck he had sportsmanship as he didn't play on the mongolian's injuried leg
+Amr Ihab You are exactly right. Excuses never finish. You have to accept the lose. You do not always win!!
Aynabek lol , Tuvshun had a serious injury. not sayin excuse lol
@AaronKangaroo look at when he walks up the stairs
Аynabek 0.
But he kind of did though? If you think about it: He lured him to the edge towards his injured (left) leg and threw him in that direction knowing FULLY he wasn't able to stop the throw? Nothing wrong about it. But avoiding to get grabbed and then perform a throw that became unstoppable was... Clever. I guess...?
I really respect two of them ❤️ and Proud of mongolian athlete 🙏🏻
Among all sports these are probably the strongest athletes.
Well, apart from the weightlifters...

wow the knee injury is very noticable at 01:33
your guy was just lucky. Taigir must prove himself in Rio Olympics. Tuvshinbayar is 2008 Olympic champion
NAIDAN TUVSHINBAYAR(MGL) was seriously injured
Strange time to watch this video.
Mongolia had Torn ACL and MCL
These two met before also. Tagir won that too. But both are legends
He can't even walk up the stairs

Standing clapping from Wladimir, priceless
Anyone know what song is playing at the start?
lindo ipon ,,, fantastico

Lol I like the comment at the end by the commentator, "Most powerful man in the world . . . Meets Vladimir Putin"
whats the music in the entry?
It’s interesting that they play music from the US at these events
Did he try to steal Putin's watch at 6:45?
At 4:20, when Putin gives a standing ovation you can see that his watch is not buckled in place; when they shake hands, the watch moves down towards his palms!
Beautiful ipon

i dont know judo, so should there be more rounds? or is the way he did instant elimanation?
There are no rounds in judo, a 5 minute round, and if its a draw they go to an extra time called the golden score which is an open time round that ends only with either of judokas scoring.
Landing your opponent flat at his back wins you the fight, its called ippon, and this is what happened here.
Alla pugashewa
russian guy is very lucky
Legend of judo.National hero of Mongolia.
Yes, he lucky one. Mongolian is golden, silver medaler. But he was hurted.
nice
I would have expected better than this for an olympic judo final..
I think Putin was intending on gifting him his watch, he goes to remove it when they greet each other.
you could see from the match and his feet naidan tuvshinbayar becomes almost unconscious in this match due to injury from previous match

John Wick once killed 3 men in a bar with a pencil
He is lucky because he have leg injury
Dagestan💪🏻
What judo move is this, 5:03?
Q'own Son Ushiro goshi.
Judo seems to predominantly use the Gi. Many of the throws and submissions wouldn't work if they weren't wearing thick clothing unlike Wrestling where the takedowns work regardless of the opponents clothing. Plus the submissions are never completed like they are in Jiu-Jitsu.
You good they legit work without a gi you 🤡
the amount of energy expended is ridiculous is judo matches
I just wonder why judokas have short arms??
00:57 Music name?
I need name of song or music of entrance ??

...there's no luck at all in Tagir Khaybulaev, his technique is second to none in the world, watch closely to his many ippons, in this tournament and also in WC 2011. This guy throws everyone, and throws for ippon.
Davide Massa hey , your guy was a good but Mongolian guy was a seriously injured , if he wasn't hurt , he win
