This is why I like Paula Abdul , she has a voice worth listening too in any Live Perfomance. She sounds beautifully raw, with the hard work of the musical team of Talented musicians that work together with her. Hearing Paula Live is just as Wonderful as putting the CD, or Vinyl Albums on.. Over the years from MTV to DVDs, got quite a decent collection of Videos, of Many Preforming Artists, Paula is in a class herself. Really miss her live concerts.. BUT!! Not to worry as long as there are Viny Records and CDs, OH, and yes those GREAT miniature reel to reels called Cassettes..😏
I'm a Paula Abdul fan, but I honestly had no idea that she could sing live and it still sound like the CD, I think I assumed she had a bit more 'help' than she actually did! This performance was perfect and proves she's not just a dancer/studio singer, but a live performer!
You do injustice to a highly talented artist. Carol Channing, Marilyn Monroe, Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong; all famous for their unique singing styles which did not include much range. Would you also write them off as merely decent singers?!?
I am so mad that I never got to see her live, and I pray that Paula does a tour date in New York sometime soon! She has to bring this saxophone player with her, though! ☺️
This live version is fabulous with Kenny G delivering such a beautiful intro on the saxophone. Music was great in those old times when they gave more opportunity for saxophone to blend with pop music specially in the live concerts.
She is very amazing dancer and singer and song writer. I saw her in concert at the great western forum on December 6 and December 7-1991, the Pacific amphitheater on June 28-1992 , September 21-1992 at the Universal Amphitheater.
With her second album SPELLBOUND Paula tried to show ever of her critics that she is able to do much more than dance, choreograph and perform in perfection. Unfortunately her third album HEAD OF HEELS, which was the most ambitious, flopped...
I don't think her third album was that ambitious at all. It seemed kind of thrown together and dated. I will say her vocals were much more improved. I just wish she would've taken the time to make a really good album and had used some new producers and background singers
really good. and good proof that she CAN sing LIVE. but singing and dancing together is very hard. if she didn´t move and only stand it was absolutely clear and nice
This is my favorite song sung by PAULA ABDUL...Who also used to dance with the LAKER GIRLS when Magic first came to L.A...LOVE THIS SONG!!
Say what you will, but that sax intro was AWESOME.
18 years later, and this song STILL gives me goosebumps. I love this song.

This is my all-time favorite Paula Abdul song. It's truly poetry in motion and such a beautiful love song.
I definitely agree with you, Marion.
2022 and I'm still loving this live performance!!! Priceless....ageless.
Yassss
i felt every single word.. beautiful song...a year later 😊
For someone who isn't known as a singer, she nails it.
And yes I know she had some vocal help.
david busic In this performance she has help?

Paula Abdul is a excellent dancer, and a decent singer!

This song + KENNY-G on SAX at the INTRO makes this a PLATINUM CLASSIC SONG!
A true masterpiece of a song.

she's no Celine Dion but clearly she's not lipsyncing and she's singing pretty decent. Very cool!
I love Celine but Paula Abdul is unique... natural talent...

Does anyone know who sings back up on this?
its Cleto from Jimmy Kimmel Live
Fantastic
Cool performance. Just wish the video didn't have the cloud effect over it the whole time.
Seems no one can make a song romantically heavy enough to feature a saxophone solo lately.
the strings are great in this song.. could have done without the sax in the background almost ruining it
Why is she looking like Ozzy Osbourne on the thumbnail though 🤨
😂😂😂
