I think Rickey Henderson had 2 20/70 seasons in 1985 and 1986 if I’m not mistaken.

no he was not, carbera had more homers, more runs batted in, higher batting average, higher on-base percentage, higher slugging percentage, higher ops, higher ops+

The year of Acuña? Uh, what Shohei was even still more historic.

At this point tho it’s the era of shohei. It’s getting to the point where we don’t gotta harp on it every year. What acuna did prob wont be done again. Ohtani prob gon do it again next year 😂

You cant be serious. Did Sho steal 70 while hitting 40, hitting over .330, and striking out less than 90 times? Did Sho play a full season? No. What he could be though is the next Strasburg from a pitching standpoint. Could he hit 50 HRs in a season? LIkely, especially since he is now a Dodger. Could Acuna get to 50 and be the first to the 50/50 club? That could be likely as well. Due to Sho's elbow; it could be likely he is not going to be the unicorn anymore. In fact; playing for the Dodgers he may not see the field as other than a DH for a long time if at all. But to say what he did last season is more historic than what Ronald did is just plain dumb. What they did was equally as historic but went about it differently.

I think that says more about the playoff format than him. the best teams drop series all the time and the best hitters can suck for like weeks at a time. but after 162 games the best come forward
