Are there videos of this "robot" similar to videos Boston Dynamics produces? I mean, something longer than 2-3 second snippets
Why we keep making robots in the shape of humans is beyond me. There are so many more functional shapes, especially for space.
in the same way why you looks like your Creators...and i think human shape is more versatile because he can operate in gravity an non gravity enviroments, like planets
@@Renovatio2142, in space, more points of contact are better. Something like a spider would be able to work and maintain its position.
if a robot is going to integrate in ourlives to make it easier, it has to be humanoid. The main reason is that he has to use the same interfaces like a wheel on a car. everything is designed for human body.
@@nathanshearer30 as far as I know this machine is not autonomous - it is controlled from inside of ISS by VR set. And it would be hard for human to control machine with 8 limbs/legs ;)
@@vertisync, I really like your example. We drive cars everyday and they are not shaped like humanoids. In fact almost nothing we control resembles humans at all.
