Nice bike we still do have them alot in the Netherlands, i do have two honda mb 8 in colour blue en white and red and white, engine sounds nice with the malossi👍👍
Nice MB-5 man, runs sweet! and nice setup with the Malossi 70cc. this is a legendary moped from the 1980's, (here in the Netherlands they where only sold as mopeds) Currently restoring my Honda MT-5 that has some MB-5 Parts like the speedo&tacho unit, the hydraulic front brake from a 80cc model (Honda MB-8) and the nice Honda MBX wheels, i also run a 80cc engine block with a 125cc Athena setup all those parts are easy to exchange between these models 😄)
Awesome, I have an '82, great bikes. Yours sounds like it pulls really nice. I'm thinking of getting a 70cc kit over the winter, are you pleased with the Malossi?
Malossi was always the cylinder to have for these bikes, high revs, pulls really nice, put a Mikuni 20 or 21mm carb on it, high pressure head, Malossi carbon reed valve and a good exhaust pipe from brands like Tecno or Proma and you'll have one sweet little 70cc ride, most of these parts you'll have to order from Europe, most dutch web shops are also available in English too for example.
Had one.South Africa.We called it the Meteor Bobcat.Great machine.Almost 100kmh top speed.Reliable and cost R700.00 in 1982.

Awesome mb5 I have. 82 and I love it!
Dude this things sweet. I finally found a 82 MB5 myself the other day. Just wondering if you imported it yourself?
Had one of these in black 1981
Those bikes really were fast for the displacement. I'm surprised that some states allow a moped registration since they are really a small motorcycle.
Im gonna make the windscreen in fiberglasd. Also the gas tank😊
How much they go for
I also have one I am rebuilding it completely
Sounds like it's running a little bit lean with low rpm.
Besides that. Great bike tho :)
There's no airbox fitted so it might be a little lean, you can hear the 'whoor' sound that is typical when you remove the airbox.
Never seen that color before. All I've seen are red or black.
Ī think、Wheels and flame shuld be kept =Black color.
I mean in America a licence is pretty much a joke
