Even at 12 cleo looks so much like a kitten, bless her family for taking amazing care of her and spoiling her so much
Cats are insane, they could be 22 and looking barely 8..
For all the talk about her royalty, Cleo was incredibly calm and well behaved!
A true queen 👑
which makes her majestic in the first place. 😉
Cleo is such a beauty! I hope her reign lasts for many years to come.
I completely understand her owners anxiety in putting such an old cat under anesthesia. I had a 14yr old Maine Coon whose health deteriorated in the last 2 years of her life, and near the end surgery was an option on the table to help her. But I knew she didn’t have that much fight left in her, putting her through surgery would’ve just been selfish on my part and it wasn’t even guaranteed to work. So I ended up saying goodbye sooner than I’d like, but I don’t regret relieving her of pain and letting her go peacefully in the end. Rest In Peace, Angel 💕
Your Angel thanks you for letting go.
More people *need* this mindset. Surgery in older animals can and usually is very cruel. Yes, you love your pets, but sometimes it's kinder to let them go peacefully, instead of getting their issues sorted with painful and stressful surgery. I'm glad your cat had such a good owner
I am sorry for your loss I lost a fish once OMG I CRIED FOR 2 DAYS! I was like 4 or 5 at the time. Again I am sorry for your loss.
Putting your cats needs above your own has to be one of the hardest things a pet owner has to do. After my cat ingested an unknown toxin that destroyed her kidneys I I had to say good-bye. First time I've cried since I was a boy (I'm 60now). You have my deepest respect.
Thank you for being so kind and so very, very brave. Angel loves you and it's clear to me that you loved her too.
Letting someone cross the Rainbow Bridge is a tragic and difficult decision, but it's also an important one, for both them and yourself.
You'll meet again one day. I promise.
And at least Angel embodies her name more now than ever before! 👼😺
I stop breathing whenever a patient stops breathing. Then my hands sweat with worry. Thanks to Dr. Chris and his handsome and very capable assistant, the patient resumes breathing and so do I. Cleo is such a sweet and beautiful cat.
Dr. Scott, not Dr. Chris.
@@Abyrae l
Dr. Scott, not Chris.
When he said “Scale the tree” I automatically assumed with a ladder 🪜 Meanwhile he starts climbing like a Koala 🐨 himself, lol 😂
Being from the US, I thought lyme disease from a tick was bad. Australia ticks just takes that to a new whole level
I may not have privilege to have a pet. But seeing such beautiful animals, even the big and stong ones, is a very joyful.Even brings sadness when seeing them in pain. You all are best! Everytime here, I see, connect, and feel the love for animals. It just makes my day.
I hope one day you get to experience the love of a pet.....
I'm sorry that you can't have the joy of having a fur baby. But maybe you could get that love and happiness donating some time to a shelter? If not I understand and hope you can find that love and happiness from somewhere else.
@@queenbeedat8726 mLLP
Thank you for your kind words 💙We're so glad you're loving the content
I hope you get a pet someday!
I was so happy to see that especially Cleo was alright. I have a rescue cat that looks exactly like her and we have such a close bond too.
Animals are so special.
Truth, they are special in their various ways. There are 2 orange tabby rescue fellows who share my home and add so much to my disabled life. One gal in our local creative writers group says that I treat my 2 feline fellows like roommates instead of pets. When I told my parents about that my retired Navy officer and not really a cat lover Dad smiled and said, "That's only because for all practical purposes they ARE your roommates." :D
I used to think people were being over dramatic when they took their pets in for " routine " or minimally invasive surgery, and were weeping or having near panic attacks... Until 3 weeks ago when I took in my cat for a neutering and he died from an anoxic brain injury 3 days later. PLEASE🙏 research the Vet AND his staff before entrusting your fur baby to them. Being a human nurse I know how those kind of injuries occur, and everyone involved in his case lied about him going with out oxygen during surgery, until a few days later I received a phone call from someone from the clinic, who wouldn't give their name, and told me that no one monitored his vitals during surgery because the nurses all went to lunch. Meaning the Vet went through with the surgery anyway, and even stated out loud..."It only takes a couple minutes'" I raised this cat from 3 days old when his mother rejected the litter. He truly was like a baby to me. Again, please do your research. Call the licensing board for your state, province, etc. And check for filed complaints or reprimands. Check online reviews. I wish I had.
That's so tragic. I'm sorry for your loss.
Omg I'm so sorry. This is my biggest fear with getting my cats spayed and neutered
Oh no! So tragic. A sorrow which will be felt for a long time. Have a virtual hug.
OMGosh.... I'm so sorry you and furrbaby had to go through this. I can't even imagine. I hope you were able to report them to the licencing board.... especially the vet. There must be some recourse. I know this is devastating for you... my love and thoughts are with you.🤗💕 I agree with you... do research... both the clinic or hospital and the staff working there. I do it for myself... why wouldn't I do it for my family member. And in my experience... just because a vet clinic or hospital is modern, with updated equipment, and higher prices... does not mean they employ experienced practitioners, have high moral values, or provide education upgrading for staff.
I lost a cat two weeks ago to kidney disease. He would have been 20 in May. My friend had two cats, litter mates, that lived to 22 years each and passed naturally within six months of each other. Cats seem to last longer in North America. Right now my tenant is waiting for the results of a biopsy on her little dog who is almost 14. She has a swollen breast and we are worried it is cancer. The waiting is so hard! I am so glad that Cleo was OK. It is so hard to lose an animal.
I'm soo sorry for you. I too recently lost a pet, it's terrible.
She was my first and only pet to date. "Cici the dog" was a tiny black cat with golden eyes, she was blind in her right eye, but that didn't stop her mouse killing rampage. We received her from a neighbor who had someone dump a litter on their driveway, she was the only one we could catch. I was given her last Aug for my birthday, and she was almost 6 months old (still technically a kitten) on Jan 21st when she ventured to the road and a vehicle ended her life. To explain her personality, take everything you know about cats and throw it out the window. She was the sweetest, most spunky kitten I had ever met. And she was mine. I was honestly surprised how upset I was when we found her dead on the road on our way to town. If animals go to heaven I'm sure she is there right now.
Everyone wants pets/loves pets, but no one is ready when their friend dies. My deepest condolences my friend
I always would like to know what people feed their cats to live to be older than 18. A lot of cat foods are horrible. Artificial ingredients and fillers that are questionable. I pay a high price for can food with meat by products and artificial ingredients. I wish the fda would start doing something about what our animals are getting in their foods we purchase. I guess the animals who live older have good genes. My cat is 18 but having problems. I took her off all cat foods with bad ingredients and now cook food for her to get more protein.
VIP CAT 🐈 😻 🐈⬛ ♥ Cats rule 😁
That horse is beautiful..Chris did an excellent job. He treats all animals with such respect and love. Actually all the vets do and the staff! ❤❤
That cat is very calm...no pulling away or crying in anger/fear. I had a black cat (my 1st cat) that had a white spot on her chest like this one who was a real queen...very sweet and gentle. Her name was Gem and I had her for 10 yrs...not nearly long enough when she got sick and she had to be put down. I cried buckets. I have had many cats over the decades since and rescued and found homes for many more. I am down to one cat...a male who is 14 yrs old and will be turning 15 this June. I've had him since he was 3 mos. old and I was babysitting him for a friend who had been keeping him till a home could be found, but had a family emergency and had to go out of town. RJ came into my life as if he knew he was home and I informed my friend that I wanted to adopt him. He was 3 mos old and knew quite what he wanted. He was diagnosed with kidney disease this year and was on meds for awhile and now on a special diet. I hope I can keep him going for awhile longer. I will be so bereft when his time is up, but all living beings have a span of time allocated to them and I am trying to give him the opportunity to live his longest life. I will miss him terribly when his time is up, but I am 75 now and my time may be coming to an end in the next few years. I love animals and grew up with dogs. We never had a cat, but a friend suggested getting one back in my 30s and I haven't looked back since the first cat. If you're single and work full-time, a cat will fit into your life beautifully. I would suggest getting a pair of kittens as they will be company for each other and for you as the owner...I say "owner" but with cats, they are the powers and you are the servant...but it's a fun job and one you won't regret taking on. 😉
Cleo is a Real Beauty! So glad all was benign. She reminds me of my lovely Mason who recently passed. Long live the Queen!
„Poor“ Theo. 😂 His first time under Performance-control. Imaging such control and Theo-Theo-Theo if Theo is a young human boy. 🙈😂
Theo is adorable and so funny at the same time❣️
Oh my god, the toy poodles are like an even cuter version of Ewoks.
Well….I can’t unsee that…Thanks Theo lol.
Then again,I suppose that’s nature for you.
I had a good giggle thanks to the love sick koala and Tim's joy at the prospect of new babies 🤣❤️
Ahh the circle of life continues. 🤣😍 he just needed a girlfriend.
Cleo rocks that Primordial Pouch 🤣🤣🤣 She looks majestic
Can't believe how many "first time as a country vet" Dr. Chris clips I've seen haha. Come on guys. Do you know how UA-cam works? We've all seen Dr. Chris' first day like twelve times.
Oooooo, you should ask for a refund!
😂
I think the same thing everytime they say it lol. Clearly not his first time 😂
All of these Veterinarians and Animal Care Custodians are Modern Day Dr. Doolittles! Awesome and Fantabulous and Great Going all of YOU at Bondi Vet!
Is Theo now thinking that there's a nice reward at the end of an attempted escape? Hmmm. I'm no animal psychologist but ...
Horses have an amazing knack for injuring themselves in the strangest of ways. Dr. Chris did an amazing job stitching up that nasty wound!
Oooh, I'M SOOO SORRY for Michael and his partner....!!!!!!!!!!! The loss of Oskar AND then even too a bad, sad heartdesease in Isabella... I wish ALL of them AAALL THE BEST IN THE WORLD ❤😍❤👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼!!!!!!!!!!!
Animals sometimes give us unconditional love that humans fail to give.
I love how they blur the wounds and needles in case someone had a phobia of them
If I found the koala I would be very tempted to sneak them out as my pet. They are teddy bears. 🥰😆
I don't think they're as sweet as teddy bears. The sound they make is scary.
Love watching the Bondi Bondi Vet as he cares about each baby he takes care of.
We were worried about our 17 year old cat being put under for cancer surgery, but I am glad we took the chance. She came thru just fine. She is now 18.5.
Hoorah!! This is great to hear. My "Smeagol" is 17. He's got one kidney still functioning. I've given him sub-Q liquids and kidney capsules etc and he's been fine. This past year something very traumatic has had me fighting to keep my sanity and the constant rehydrating of my boy, kind of got put to the side. I noticed his drop in weight, activity etc and an emergency vet wanted to put him down.
Smeagol actually gave me a very long and direct look which I'd felt that he wanted only to come home.
I got him back on sub-Q, eating by syringe, drinking the same way and now after over a week, he's again sleeping with me, eating Pate' again and jumping to be on my lap. His licks tell me I was right. However, if he shows again signs of being uncomfortable, I'll let him go. I felt horrible bringing him home but I had to go on my hunch. The vet said, I could "try" to give him comfort, hope he would eat anything and come around, but he doubted it would work. Thank God that it did.
I've had cats and dogs for years and I remember each and every one. I'm now in that traumatic and sad time when you know you must prepare for another goodbye.
How hard this is, but not to be in the company of an animal would be even more painful. My last adoption at home, the Fighter, is from Cairo. He will be lonely for his buddy and will be spoiled and given lots of attention and toys. If I were younger, I'd get him another friend.🙄😳🤔💖
Dr chris your amazing thank the Lord Cleo took a breath made her family happy
Dr. Scott did Cleo's surgery, in London. Dr. Chris works, usually, in Australia. All Vets must know, in multiple species, their anatomy, physiology, med reactions, surgical needs, and on and on. I mean they must become expert in each species not just in humans like M.D.s do.
Got to say, the work with Sparkles was very well done, the stitching nice and clean, now only to keep the wound cleaned till it heals up. Sparkles might not like it, but it is for her well being. ^^
They must put tracker on Theo ,lol
I saw a buck go for a doe at Wild Life Sydney, years ago now, and it was not as ‘gentle’ as that. The poor girl was screaming bloody murder the whole time! Hopefully a Joey came of it.
😶😵😭
Even though Scott's removing life support tubes at 9:34, Cleo's face looks far more adorable and hilarious as he secures her head.
Koala’s are cute!
As someone with a miniature poodle that recently had a bloody invasion of ticks on him, I am so glad we don't have paralysis ticks here. I don't even remember how many were on him, I assume he brought a female home from a walk because our entire house was infested. Not a fun thing to deal with let me tell you.
Theo needs a cigarette...🥰
Sometimes it is really sad for what can happen to these animals, but when they can be happy again it’s just really is happy to see🤧❤️
Happy pets = Happy humans 💕
All I can say is, Excellent work by the vets and their staff. Wish there was something that would kill off those ticks that kills like that one on Boots.
That was so cute with Theo!!😂🐨🥰💗💗
Beautiful kitty! 🥰🥰🥰
Theo Theo Theo !.
I was not expecting koala boinking when I clicked on this video….
Cor that's a devastating wound on that horse.
Cleopatra looks like my Samhain. He is bigger but has the same tiny white bib.
Beautiful cat.
WHY do they blur out the wound on the horse's shoulder, when there's lots (lots!!) of other stuff on UA-cam that's as bad or worse?? People aren't that squeamish. If they can't handle it they don't have to watch...
Channels who try to be a program for kids as well has demonetization rules and can flag a channel etc. once ya show those off it blocks off kids from learning and having access to a degree. Take it up with UA-cam and ways of getting monetized and reaching larger audiences.
, Cleopatra is saying take the tape off of me please and thank you Uncle Scott. Ha ha ha ha ha.☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️😄😄😄😄😄😄😄☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️
Does Australia spray yards to kill those killer ticks? Asking from Palm Desert, California, U.S. Isn't there a tick repellant for pets? Thank you for saving precious Bootsie. That dog is so loved by its family.
I'm I the only one who heard Scott say "it looks messy when he walked in"?
Bless his ❤ 💙 💜
She looks like my cat did. She was a Bombay. A cross between a short haired black cat & a burmese. Mine lived to be 18.
Breeding koalas, meanwhile the govt wants to cull koalas.
Okay so I'm very curious about something cuz this woman with her cat Cleo she said that the cat has never been under anesthesia. Now here's where I'm slightly confused. So she says it kept ever been arrested it. Has a cat ever been spayed? I was thinking of that age would have had him gone under surgery to have a spay or neuter done. Just so she doesn't reproduce. And that is the case then the cat has been under some form of an anesthetic.
Chris you will be just fine with horses as long as you remember there are only " 2 " things that a horse is scared of 1 - things that move + 2 - things that don't LOL
And where you see a big empty field the huge horse eating monster sometimes live
yall did him so dirty in the thumbnail
Bless the cat x
Go on Theo ! 💪
12 old ? My Burmese lived to 20 🥰 .
May God ❤🎉 Bless
I ve had a cat🐱 pts 😢it’s very painful glad this cat was ok x
Wow that's a nasty wound
Hi Thank you for these wonderful videos. I have a rescue male cat he had flu the vet gave him antibiotics for 5 days and said he would recover, his flu got a bit better but now he has a locked jaw, he can't open his mouth . The vet has given him antibiotics for three days and said he would recover slowly but the condition is same. It has been a month now. Please any advice from you is appreciated. Thank you.
I’d love to pet a koala.
can you start making unblurred version for those of us who want to see for learning
Oh how I wish we had a veterinarian as good as Scott and the others in this show here where I live in the USA. It is soooo expensive and such a waste of time and money when we take our pets to the vet.'s here. We are on our 4th clinic in our metropolitan area and it's just frustrating to hear over and over ever single illness or symptom is a food allergy and get no help for our beloved little girl that is getting elderly. As a retired RN very well versed in wound care, and suffering from psoriasis myself, I can see it is obviously seborrheic dermatitis and is getting worse. I've taken her care into my own hands now. Being disabled we don't have the money to keep paying $150 - 300 per visit with no help for our baby. Makes me so mad and feeling taken advantage of. I wonder if vet. care is as expensive in Australia as it is here?
Same here in 🇨🇦. I feel for you Loren. Shortly after adopted my cat, she threw up once and stopped eating. Personally, I thought she just ate too fast, vomited whole crunchies immediately, and then was having food aversion because she remembered the vomiting and the smell. I didn't wait long... I took her to the vet the next day. $800 later... they suggested changing her food. That worked and she started eating again. Why couldn't that be the first thing they suggest?... A $40 bag of food. A few months later, I've discovered she has food allergies that result in skin itching... but I can't seem to get them to take it seriously.
شكراااااا يادكتور
I swear every time he puts a pet into surgery he over emphasizes that the animal has stopped breathing or is dying when it’s fine
Go Theo!!!
Curious does the tick affect humans the same way?
cleos eyes look just like my cats it's kinda weird how similar
Is having a vet stop by your house with test results actually a thing in England or Australia? In Florida where I live that would NEVER happen.
It must be!! for Dr Scott in the UK anyway ..Ive watched many episodes where he does home visits...No vets do that here in Canada, thats for sure!
I've never had a vet do a house visit and I live in Australia. It might just be for the show.
Ever heard of lidocaine with epi?
I have a tiny fluffy grey fluffernutter cat as I call her and I need her cleopatra, cleo for short, And named her that formally the same reasons 😁
Tick season if these were my puppies they’d be shaved.
Omg
I hope you're aware that "an absolute pony" and "a wild kicking machine" aren't mutually exclusive. Usually it is the absolute ponies that are the wild kicking machines!
How do they tell the black poodles apart?
When they are your babies, you can tell. A few years ago I had four short-haired black cats. I never mixed up their names. I coud always
@@lisagoins9218 yeah I know they just look beyond identical to me 😊
12 is not super old for a cat
I've interacted with cats who were 21 and almost 19.
Cleo is not a Bombay! She has white hair on her belly. Bombay cats are solid black.
Not entirely true some have few spots of white on their chest, ears or tail, because of it's relation to the Burmese. You don't have your facts right.
HI DR, SCOTT AND DR,CHRIS I LOVE ALL OF YOU GUYS AND GALS I AM FROM USA CALIFORNIA WISH YOU 2 WERE HERAR I LOVE ANIMALS I HAVE 1 DOG A CHIUAUA SORRY FOR THE POOR SPLEIING HUGS NDKISSES LOVE TI NA
😊
We had to put my dog down 2 days ago I STILL MISS HIM 🥺
Can anyone tell me what "sausage" means in England? I hear it a lot, but don't know what it means. Thank you!
It can mean a literal sausage (ground up meat in a long cylindrerical shape, usually encased in animal (like pigs) intestines). But it can also be used as a term of endearment (like dear or honey).
Hope that helps.
@@littlechickenman thank you 😃 I know the meat sausage, but didn't know it was used as an endearment. Thank you again "sausage"😉
Scatty to think we have ticks that can cause this in three regions of The US.
Why don't they have an iron lung for animals? I mean, how hard could it be?
Cleo's teeth look pretty nasty :(
We didn’t need to know-
😍🤗💐🎆🎇🙏

I HAVE THE PRIVILEGE OF HAVING
A PET AFRICAN ĢREY PARROT WHO TALKS.
2nd
Looks like Cleo needs a tooth cleaning to her molars in the back are kind of yellow and brown
I had a jolt when you said the 12 year old cat was "very old" , my 19 year old cat Molly must be ancient !!
I have a totally black cat 🐈⬛ named Shadow. She is 18 but acts like a kitten.
My little Persian, Nosa, lived to age 21 years. I took her to my veterinarian in 2018 to help her journey to her next life. I miss her so very much ---- along with other departed beloved kitties ---- but I'm thankful to God for their presence in my life and all the love they have given.
Growing up, we had a Siamese that made it to 25 and when he started shutting down, we made the difficult decision to let him go peacefully. Our vet at the time was amazed by his age.
My cat was 22 when she passed away 😢
yup at 12 she would be classed as a senior cat. My mum in law had one live to the age of 19 and her Birman live to 14 who passed away late last year
Dr. Chris really is an all-in-one vet, wow!
Amazing it takes only 5 weeks pregnancy before koala birth. Really amazing.
That was certainly a major sewing up of the pony. That injury had to be so painful, but par for the course, Dr. Chris saves the day and the horse. Such a beautiful stitching on that pony.
Theo was pretty proud of himself… hahaha 🤣!
Way to go Theo! 💪😄 I'm so pleased that Tim and Mike helped him find his first love! 💗
I am glad they found Theo a mate. He is a happy camper. Also, glad Cleo's tumor is not cancer. The horse's cut is all stitched up. Boots, I am glad they got the ticks are off of him and is healed. Lisa, Chris, and Scott are awesome vet's. Tim and his keeper friend are awesome too. They are caring people.
It's amazing to see Dr chris go out going to the country to help out it's just amazing
