  • The video would delve into the 17-century memento mori (a Latin phrase meaning 'remember that you must die.') artwork called 'Vanitas' which especially caught attention in the European countries of the Netherlands and Belgium.
    This art movement with contrasting symbols of wealth was portrayed in response to Dutch capitalism and mercantile wealth floating in the Golden age and the mysteries of faith spread predominately by the Catholic Church.

    I dont know anything about art. This is the best video. Im an old dude that is about to graduate from the local community collage for applied science. Art is my elective in my last semester. Charcoal still life. I been around the world. Seen dark stuff. Just lost a friend to suicide. For our last research paper my art teacher suggested this art style.
