I was a sgt in castel 1988/90. Don't let this guy let you think that castel is easy , your training is just an introduction to military life , training starts when you get to your regiment . Just keep your mouth shut and get through it , any boot camp in all army's is the same thing.
I can't imagine stay in legion and haven't avoid to have a house in 5 YEARS is like a prision, in any other army you could go to your home/apartment most of the weekends
I wasnt there yet , but after some time , u couls go in the nearest city in the weekends do some things , maybe to a girlfriend etc , and u could get a permision for some few things
I was once half way down the M4 en route to join the SAS , then as I pulled into Starbucks for a double cream coffee and muffin I started to wonder if they would allow me to use my private jet for Halo jumps ? I met this guy at the bar who had also nearly got to Hereford but he got a splinter from walking up the stairs so pulled out .. real tough life in starbucks and he said the Legion don’t drink coffee .. do you think I’m up to it .? I have sold my range rover , left my model girlfriend and shot the dog just to make sure i’m bad arse enough ...
Thanks a lot Viking , your intel on the selection and the life in Castel is really useful I learned a lot . I still have a few questions hope you can answer them .1st : Did you had to run every week and if so how many km ?2nd Did you had any problems taking your salary when you left . and how was that process ? Thanks a lot man
Thank you for all info man. I'll go there in the end of this year like you did. Unofrtunally you aren't there, cause you seems to like Asatru stuff, and would be a nice circle to form up there, "the viking mafia". lol But's nice hope I can enjoy there.
Hello, I'v been watching your videos today and really appreciate all the info. I have some questions and really hope you are still checking on comments. 1) In past video you said you are expected to pay for something like 200Euros of equipment and also mentioned in this video that you are expected to buy some things for barracks. How do they expect me to pay for those things when they forbid to bring more than 50 euros for the selection? on their site it says, that i have to bring 10-50 euros, it's forbidden to bring something like 200 or 300. 2) Is there really absolutely nothing I can do for the boring part in the Castel? Is there internet access, library, anything of that sort to kill time?
thank you for all the information I've watched all of the videos and its been a huge help I plan on going to France next winter and am studying french to get a leg up if you could reply I had a few more questions thanks
Please everyone you have to remember that the Viking did not get past the stage of basic training. I would like the Viking, if he would be so kind enough, to tell us which modern army gives you your weapon to keep with you 24/24 during basic training? Viking? It is also worth noting that the Viking was Fu**ed off out of the Canadian army and then asked to leave after legion basic training. He can relate to his own biased opinion about the legion, but he cannot tell you about the legion. He could not hack it and asked to go home. I heard he was crying at the end of basic because they were going to send him to a regiment. I do not know if this is true.
Pooka, thanks for that heads up for anyone joining the US army. But the Viking joined the Canadian army and got thrown out. He then did a part time enlistment in the legion (5 months), would you allow him to have his rifle full time?
Actually Pooka you are incorrect. During training you draw your weapons from the arms room and turn them in every night. Unless you are in your ftx phase.
I don't know where you trained, but we had our rifles hung on the racks as we slept, and the fireguard had to count them at the beginning of every shift. We had our rifles with us 24/7. Chow, training, and sleeping. The only time we didn't have them was during PT, then they where on the racks in our platoon lines at the CTA. I was at Ft. Jackson, so it may be different elsewhere, but I know both Sill and Jackson you have them 24/7.
Thank you for all the videos! I plan on arriving at the gates mid October or November. I'm 29 and American. Any advice? I've been doing the work out I found on cervens.
Be patient and go there with no expectations. Joseph Cosgrove would have you believe i quit cause it's too hard, the truth is i really did have high expectations and it was an extremely upsetting reality. If it's what you want, you'll do fine.
Viking--You did a great job with these videos. I'm a veteran of the US army and did training with the FFL...in some respects they are impressive but certainly they are not the "whole package." For Americans any special operations unit in any one of the four branches will be a far better and more challenging experience. One thing about the FFL though...you almost certainly will see action in the course of a 5 year enlistment if you are in combat arms. Of course we do to now but FFL guys get sent all over the world to places and in actions you never hear about. Anyway great job Viking...and hey dude if your heart wasn't in it and you could legally leave...you did the right thing.
First of all Cockgrope you don't know me. Regardless of that I still gave the benefit of my personal experience...I have been around FFL troops...not a lot but certainly enough to form an impression of them. If you know ANYTHING about them and ANYTHING about US Army and Marine Corps as well as, our allies (Brits, Canadians, Aussies, Poles) you know that they are generally happier and more motivated than your average guy in the FFL.
Playing, I know what you mean. When you have finished your day it's to a hot shower and then either to the canteen or the Quick, hotdog stand or mobile pizza parlor before going to watch the latest Hollywood blockbuster. The legionnaire goes and eats his rations, cleans his weapon and then, if not on guard goes to sleep. Who is happier Playing the soldier or the legionnaire? At the time it is Playing the bad ass, but back in the world, it's the legionnaire.
I'm not going to disrespect the Legion...like I said, I have served with them and I respect them. I'm just disrespecting you. You think we are Hollywood soldiers and marines? Why don't you ask some of the Taliban or Iraqi insurgents who ran up against us? Oh...wait, you can't ask them...those cocksuckers are KIA! Performance counts...the proof is in the pudding...we don't have any Camaron's or Dien Bien Phu's in our history but we have countless EPIC successes and victories.
Playing, you are being silly now. I can't imagine what you get out of disrespecting someone who has pointed out some basic truths. You are the one who who has improvised on the web as a psychoanalyst, giving your unwanted opinion on the morale of the legion troops. Do you think think that if they took away the Saturday night Bar B Q and the Sat phone home calls the the US troops would be dancing around singing Dixie. Wise up.
To join the legion for my self just need some help from South Africa its kinda hard to save money earning from my work so soon ganna open up a loan or something like that question is say I make the legion now will the legion allow me to keep my phone with me so that when I get paid in the legion I can send the money back to South Africa to pay off this debt that I have finished . Or after training every month allow me to use my phone and pay the bank back when I'm on that side of the world ? (Second question ) I hear on this video the man said soon as you get paid they allow you to buy yourself a cellphone that can't take pics and have internet so what happens to my own personal phone when I'm there ? Do they allow me to keep it or if you don't have a phone then they allow you to buy one ? I'm really interested in the legion it's better than joining the SA Army thx guys .
You said chances of selection are higher in winter time. I was there 3 years ago and during the choosing ceremony of going rouge I want picked. What month should I join to increases my chances?
Let's say if 5 people try to join the legion, and only 2 of them are excepted. Is because they had a limit of choosing how many. Or is it that all five of them could of been excepted and the other 3 didn't do good enough?
Well lets say if 5 people came yesterday and they took 5 and 5 came today and they took 2 then cause 2 were not needed. The more came to less they take they need to refill regiments when people are leaving but they have a basis of what is the worst they could take. The better you are the higher youre chances.
It is not about lazyness man ,it s a cultural thing in France , around 13:00-15-00 there would be a lunch break almost everywhere no matter what , except gas stations z supermarkets and restaurants , beside that, banks , pharmacues have a launch break and its closed , cause it s a human need to eat drink and maybe do something important in that break
hey your videos give a lot of info , so good , hey man with mild\light asthma , how they know ? if you are a good runner and no problem with training and stuff , there will be problem with that ?
They only know what you tell them and what obviously shows. If you can hide it, try it. But if they find out later you could be sent home. Buy maybe you're in long enough to make the money for a plane ticket home :p
Yes you do and if you do not make the grade you will receive all your money that you have earned plus any surplus money that you joined with. The legion allows you to keep 50 euros on you. I would advice you to take it in small coins. Take some good disinfectant soap - type dettol. A good pair of cross training sports shoes with your name on the OUTside.
I remember our first pay day, 40 euros in the hand and right after we had to go straight to the legionnaires shop to buy our legión running shoes costing a perfect 39 euro's 😂
Did you witness any physical violence from the corporals towards the recruits ? Just curious to see if the rumour have any substance to them, thankyou for your videos.
Ah, the 3REI, yes of course. well i cant say too too much about them as it wasnt really something very talked about. Of course it was talked about and much of the training staff at 4RE have spent some time there. What i meant is that there are very few positions ever opened for that regiment so they didnt waste our time teaching us about a regiment none of us could request. That being said though, once or twice a year at random they have slots open there and it really just luck if you finish training at one of those times and can request to be sent there. However, after awhile you can request a change of regiment.
first of all Viking how do you know what happens once or twice a year? You spent 5 months in the legion! And no if you are posted to 3 REI for 2 years, you stay 2 years.
I have a question in regarding the pay. Do they pay during the training period, if they pay how much is that gonna be? And how much do you get paid after the training? Thank you.
you get paid but have no chance to get hands on the money, as you dont have an cash card by you...you get after they choice you arround 800-900€. When youve done the Kepi Run you get hands on youre money they money will stay the same and climb by education and years but at base you will earn 800-1200€. But no need to pay for food clothes and livining space.
what military has their weapons with them other than when they're being used for drill, firing ranges, etc?????? you keep saying that this is something unique to legion, but that's nonsense
This guy over thinks everything! You join the Legion, they own you. What did he expect. Also. I can't believe how naive some of the comments are about the fkn legion. Dig deep, accept the life and get on with it.
You said a friend got medically sent home after the last medical...was that in selection or in castel? What did they find out? I figure a fair number of guys get injured during training? You also talk about all the needles in castel...is that giving you regular injections or is that taking blood for testing? Thanks.
He was sent home in the last medical in Castel. Had to do with his back, im not sure how he slipped past to begin with if it was a problem though. It was something he was aware of but it caused him no problems. A lot of guys were injured at some point, myself included. As for the needles, they were all injections, only took blood once from what i remember at the beginning of it all.
Thanks for the answer. Sounds unusual, wonder why they would send him home for something that didn't even cause him problems unless they saw a scar or an X-ray picked up metal in his body, or scoliosis....but stuff should have been found in Aubagne during the medicals. More serious stuff like disk disease or damage would only be investigated if he had pain and couldn't continue and is only found with an MRI, something they wouldn't invest in if there were no outward signs. Sounds like maybe he accidentally said something to incriminate himself or purposely said something if he wanted a quick ticket home...though if you were near the end of Castel that seems unlikely as he could have just asked to go home like you did. Hope your friend is doing well regardless. I wonder what they were injecting you guys with. haha Science experiments of the Legion.....
I think it was something like scoliosis, it was minor enough to get passed initial medicals, but the last doctor decided otherwise. He and I are still in touch as we were best friends throughout training. Some southeast asia backpacking adventures and anti-poaching in the plains of south africa planned with him.
Do you know anything about the 2rep commandos everyone says ohhh the legion is soo awesome cause they have the 2rep you can join the 2rep and be a badass but honestly isn't that regiment very selective and not the norm of the legion as it is just a fraction of the overall legion.
Thanks for these vids mate, only ones i seem to find look like there 20 years old. So what do u mean dont over think it? what exactly did u over think and how was it different from whst u was thinking? Im asking cuz a lot of things is going through my head but i bet its different from what i think
Run a mile the fastest you can I mean run really fast got the tip from the U.S Navy Seals that's what they teach for BUD/s cause its not the distance it's how fast you can run continuously.
hey there, i want to thank you for all the info provided, God speed. Do you have any knowledge on what each regiment does so i can decide what suits me best i would appreciate any suggestions and tips thank you
No problem man! Yeah i do know what all the regiments do, when i get a chance ill write it for you, as well i am building a site that ill link from my channel with all that info!
i'm 29 , prior military experience, MP, Airborne course, urban combat, Colombian ARMY. Im used to doing a lot of running 10k to 15k almost everyday , i rest very little (which is bad) Pull up bar every other day . i think i can put my self through the test with the Legion
Hi bro. I have a question for you. I know that the first 2 years a legionnaire is rotated mostly and staged in Paris. Question is where are the active zones the legionnaire's are deployed?
Floyd C, the Viking is probably not the best person to ask question about after basic training. That was all he managed. I'm not sure what you mean about being staged in Paris, if you mean based, no.
Currently, in January 2018, France involvment in different conflicts can lead a legionnaire to be sent in the following countries : Lebanon, Iraq, Mali, Mauritania, Chad, Niger, Côte d'Ivoire, Central African Republic. In Africa a country can have an unexpected coup d'etat or civil war and ask France for help at any time, so the list changes every year. France has many bases abroad where legionnaires can transit, in Africa there are Burkina Faso, Sénégal, Djibouti and a couple other countries. There are all the French territories too like La Réunion, French Guiana, Mayotte, French Polynesia, French Caribbeans, etc...
The first two years is not necessarily in France. Some lucky ones will go to the 13 DBLE, some to Guyana with the 3rd, and the rest will spend the first two in any one of several French based Regiments. If you are smart, and they still do the PPCME, or advanced promotion selection at Castel, you will stay at Castel and help train new recruits, learn better French, and when ytou are done, they used to give you your choice of regiments to go to....So for those interested, don't drink too much, learn french, try not to get into too many fights and you might be one of the two, usually, who get selected to stay on at Castel for fast-track promotion to Caporal
OK, so I know they starve the living hell out of you for the 4 to 6 months that you are doing basic training. But what is the food situation after all of that training?? Do you get to eat food normally again once you are assigned to a regiment? Do you get to eat like a normal human being after all that is said and done? That is my biggest question!
Actually dummy, they feed you well...It's in their best interests....My God, why would an elite fighting force starve recruits? There is, however, a very strategic mental test going on at all times...They don't so much need to know if you are physically capable after you have left your parents basement and travelled to Aubagne, but they do need to know if you are mentally strong enough to take countless days of corvee , marches with very heavy backpacks, and NCO's telling you to do the same thing over and over and over again, ...just because....it can be a real mind fuck, but if you have the right mindset, you will meet some fucking amazing people who will be in your life forever....and will always answer the call
yo mate, i'm going to join the legion on the 18th of august.. i have no previous military experience.. did others with no experience make selection? cheers mate
Bro please answer :) I'm from Germany and I want to the legion, I have military experience I'm 24 but I'm scared that I left everything behind and get not selected :/
He said "I'm a full-on wanker. . I don't actually have what it takes to become a Legionnaire, but it will help my UA-cam channel immensely. . . Am I in?"
Hey viking, im going end of next year so thats end of 2018. my question is have u heard any stories about color blind getting sent home? My vision is fine, i can see colors and able to differentiate em but when it comes to the color book test i had problem in the past.
I was in the legion and i failed the ishihara test in the medical process. No problem, but the doctor said i couldnt do any specialized jobs because of it.
No no Problems, who starts a Problem will be Punished fast, people form Groups of people they like (like evrywhere)but older and younger dont have "age" problems, many are older then 25 and as you end youre basic training you will have people of any age arround you.
Hey man I understand why u left the legion I have failed my medical for the British army I have sent a letter so I am waiting for them to get back my back up is the FFL is there a chance of getting into the legion more than my army? And I want to join the 2nd rep parachute regiment and if I join the the legion for 5 years can I join the regular French army?
Hi I am a Ghanaian and i plan to join the legion in December but i want to know if you met Ghanaians in the legion and the minimum pull ups to do to get in the legion
Truth, if you are asking advice from the Viking because "I'm so worried about the psychometric test I don't wanna go home because of that I want to go home" Stay home! The Viking did basic training and went home. Why bother making the trip.
Hi bro, I have plans to be there this year, and I think I have gathered the necessary information to know that is what I want, I only have one question ... after the compulsory training for all, there is an opportunity to choose to serve In the medical area Since I have knowledge of ADVANCED VITAL SUPPORT and related to pre hospital medicine. Thank you.
Thank your for the videos. You are helping a lot of people. Is there a library in Castel? Can you read books? Or are you too busy for that during service?
bob smith, if I may. kief smith (no relation to bob I assume) you haven't even got in and you're looking to take on the whole of the ISIS on your own. kief, give it time.
Exactly Guildou. I even did ex-Yougo with the REP, However it seems that the Viking was more interested in the other sections eating chocolates and having bar- B- Qs on the lawn by the pool. I can only imagine the Viking drooling at the mouth in the foyer when his section had finished doing the assault course and convinced that the other sections are having cocktails on the patio. The poor guy is completely lost.
I think he want to say "carrying angle". :) Also got question on my own. When you talk about that needles they are putting in you. On what exactly you mean. Blood sampling, infusion, or vaccines.?
Yeah i looked it up and figured it out :p Yeah i believe vaccines and im not sure what else, there was one time we got 4 needles at once, 1 in each arm and 2 in the back.
Yeah, probably vaccines. That kinda normal in European armies. that give you against everything, so you can eat everything , be on cold, etc.You you will make video why FFL didn't worked for you? Thanks for info man. I'm probably flying for Marseille myself very soon.
Finished it all just fine, and did well as well. The legion however was not what i expected and i went there with higher expectations, which i wanna advise others not to do. But thats all in the next video so you all know why i went and why i left.
Wheb you say that at the end i will reqiest the regiment.. What do you mean during the time there i will learn about all regiments or just say '' sniper or paratrooper ''
I myself have 6 tattoos, and many many of the guys there as well have full sleeves, and all that jazz. Sounds like you're fuckin good to go man. Just remember though, the legion is full of 3rd world shitpumps and slavic psychos, i say give it a go, but it wont be the marines.
Good to go, ya I'd get back in here in the states but for some reason US military don't want its prior service and having a go at civilian life I can see that I'll never adjust back. I need to be in the fight or in the dirt
I struggled with the civilian thing to, hence the legion as well. But ive really had a good talking with myself, got my shit half ass together and finally doing some projects i love and its made all the difference for me personally.
Hey man, enjoying your videos they really helpful! You got an email address!? Got a few questions wanna ask if you don't mind, wanna join the FFL so just wanna ask some questions Cheers man
Ahh reminds me memories....Was there 20 years ago for 5 years...many things didn't change haha

Hello. It's been 8 months, any luck joining? Been seeing your comments on Adj. Thomas G video's.

Thanks for that .. But I just wanted to know after your time were you able to speak full french ?!
Three years late, but he's Canadian so he very likely already knew french
And wasnt he there only like six months?

They only know what you tell them and what obviously shows. If you can hide it, try it. But if they find out later you could be sent home.
Buy maybe you're in long enough to make the money for a plane ticket home :p
Very informative Thanks a lot mate.
How much sport have you done before joining? And has there been someone who could not make it physically after passing all the tests in the beginning?
So did you ever find out what was in the needles? I'm not afraid of needles. Just would rather know what's in them.
Hey man quick question on how much money you would recommend taking over for the equipment they want you to buy
I took 300 euros, but you will be getting paid there and after the farm sometime you will be given your bank card amd have access to your money.
Do you get paid while in selection?
Yes you do and if you do not make the grade you will receive all your money that you have earned plus any surplus money that you joined with. The legion allows you to keep 50 euros on you. I would advice you to take it in small coins.
Take some good disinfectant soap - type dettol. A good pair of cross training sports shoes with your name on the OUTside.
I remember our first pay day, 40 euros in the hand and right after we had to go straight to the legionnaires shop to buy our legión running shoes costing a perfect 39 euro's 😂
@@kohtaoscubaclub3251what year was that ? Haha had 1 euro left over
Did you witness any physical violence from the corporals towards the recruits ? Just curious to see if the rumour have any substance to them, thankyou for your videos.
The Viking was abused, in what way, he would not tell me.
Depends. But yea they might slap you hard, or punch your face with fists or kick you depending on how sissy they think you are or how drunk they are.
Yes, some more than others. Caporal Kmichik kicked my ass several times.
Hay viking i have a question is studying French hard thing to do..?and how much French we are expected to study by the end
What about the 3Rei Regiment , what information you haw about that ?
You join
the Legion, they own you. What did he expect. Also. I can't believe how naive some of the comments are about the fkn legion. Dig deep, accept the life and get on with it.
Thank you for the great video thing is there like a special forces in the friend Foreign Legion
Groupe de Commandos Parachutistes, 2REP you dont want go there, even youre now thinking you will. YOU DONT xD
@@wambooislustigram5789 why 😅
@@metigame1450 Cause its Hardcore, its alot harder then the rest of the legion...
@@wambooislustigram5789 Its not considered sof by nato standards Legion officially dosen't have special operations
@@dgmma992 Yeah i know, was there...just telling that if you want something similar then these are the unit you want to look for.
Some southeast asia backpacking adventures and anti-poaching in the plains of south africa planned with him.
can you take any nutritional suplements like BCAA's multi vitamnis etc ?
No it's prohibited
well that sucks, thx btw :)
You're welcome man.
As I understood at selection you have to do just luc leger test and pull ups later on if u are accepted you have to climb a rope and swim, right?
That is correct
How much time you spent in FFL,and what is minimum for pension-retirement?
5 months, and min for retirement is 17-20 years i believe.
Do you have email to answer questions? Would appreciate itm.
Do you have to consent to the needles? Is there any situation in which you would not have to take the needles???
Do you know anything about the 2rep commandos everyone says ohhh the legion is soo awesome cause they have the 2rep you can join the 2rep and be a badass but honestly isn't that regiment very selective and not the norm of the legion as it is just a fraction of the overall legion.
Yes
Thanks for these vids mate, only ones i seem to find look like there 20 years old. So what do u mean dont over think it? what exactly did u over think and how was it different from whst u was thinking? Im asking cuz a lot of things is going through my head but i bet its different from what i think
Thanks for the videos man..
Figured i had info people wanted, figured i'd share it.
I have one question for you. What is your matricule?
No getting around this one...You should also ask him his Compagnie number and adjutant of his section for training at Castel
Legionnaire ---------,, une mois de service, 3me Compagnie, 2me section, de la Adjutant ---------, a vous ordere mon Adjutant
you said in your video : lots of running . What should i expect ? 8-9km every day ?
Run a mile the fastest you can I mean run really fast got the tip from the U.S Navy Seals that's what they teach for BUD/s cause its not the distance it's how fast you can run continuously.
what is a normal day after training??
A Bus? Never saw one😊
How could you buy all that stuff?
When they limit the amount of money (€50-€60) you could have on you when joining FFL.
hey there, i want to thank you for all the info provided,
God speed.
Do you have any knowledge on what each regiment does so i can decide what suits me best
i would appreciate any suggestions and tips
thank you
Juan Ramirez what is your age? Your body is ready for the biggest physical/mental stress?
No problem man! Yeah i do know what all the regiments do, when i get a chance ill write it for you, as well i am building a site that ill link from my channel with all that info!
great ! looking forward to it, i actually just purchased my ticket to france this week , heading over there in december
i'm 29 , prior military experience, MP, Airborne course, urban combat, Colombian ARMY. Im used to doing a lot of running 10k to 15k almost everyday , i rest very little (which is bad) Pull up bar every other day . i think i can put my self through the test with the Legion
any suggestions on any tipical exercise?
what kinda of felonies do they allow in the legion?
Felonies...none.
I have never seen you
Matthew Doty JR Of course man, In france we’re eating very well, and you will also try some french speciality
Actually dummy, they feed you well...It's in their best interests....My God, why would an elite fighting force starve recruits? There is, however, a very strategic mental test going on at all times...They don't so much need to know if you are physically capable after you have left your parents basement and travelled to Aubagne, but they do need to know if you are mentally strong enough to take countless days of corvee , marches with very heavy backpacks, and NCO's telling you to do the same thing over and over and over again, ...just because....it can be a real mind fuck, but if you have the right mindset, you will meet some fucking amazing people who will be in your life forever....and will always answer the call
yo mate, i'm going to join the legion on the 18th of august.. i have no previous military experience.. did others with no experience make selection? cheers mate
and another question when do the legion start paying you is it the moment you walk through the door or after selection?
Good luck! Many without past military experience get in.
You should be getting paid after you sign the contract, when you go blue.
Bro please answer :)
I'm from Germany and I want to the legion, I have military experience I'm 24 but I'm scared that I left everything behind and get not selected :/
I have no problems I'm fit
Just go.... Take a chance.... Good luck young man...
du darfst nichts zu verlieren haben..
What did you answer when they asked you why you wanted to join the legion?
I told them the truth.
No problem, but the doctor said i couldnt do any specialized jobs because of it.
i have minus 1 of myopia is that a problem?
Do you know if asthma is disqualifying? glasses? flat feet? What do people get sent home for?
Flat feet and glasses are not so bad, but the asthma i believe is almost a guarantee no.
So what happened? T'es parti civil après castel?
I don't believe i stuttered, did i?
If Catholic are you able to attend Mass? As a French Foreign Legioneer, are you able, or allowed, to attend Mass?
Yes you are able to and are allowed to.
Hi friend I'm Suresh (Gurkha's) I'm 35 years old any problems with age and new youngsters guys behivour in FFL.
No no Problems, who starts a Problem will be Punished fast, people form Groups of people they like (like evrywhere)but older and younger dont have "age" problems, many are older then 25 and as you end youre basic training you will have people of any age arround you.
How long do you have to be in FFL to obtain French citizenship
5 years
get wounded and you get it...or 3 years in service without beeing wounded (the better solution)....Imram talking BS.
Nobody cares about injury or your bullshit lol.
Salutations légionnaires que faites-vous maintenant jours? ... Envie de faire une randonnée avec Bonnet blanc avec moi ici aux États-Unis?
Hey man I understand why u left the legion I have failed my medical for the British army I have sent a letter so I am waiting for them to get back my back up is the FFL is there a chance of getting into the legion more than my army? And I want to join the 2nd rep parachute regiment and if I join the the legion for 5 years can I join the regular French army?
Hi I am a Ghanaian and i plan to join the legion in December but i want to know if you met Ghanaians in the legion and the minimum pull ups to do to get in the legion
I cant say i met any, im not 100% sure, none i trained with at least. And the minimum pullups is 4.
I'm so worried about the psychometric test I don't wanna go home because of that..
Truth, if you are asking advice from the Viking because "I'm so worried about the psychometric test I don't wanna go home because of that I want to go home" Stay home! The Viking did basic training and went home. Why bother making the trip.
So I got deported from the USA for an aggravated felony do you think that would stop me from being selected
No
Hi bro, I have plans to be there this year, and I think I have gathered the necessary information to know that is what I want, I only have one question ... after the compulsory training for all, there is an opportunity to choose to serve In the medical area
Since I have knowledge of ADVANCED VITAL SUPPORT and related to pre hospital medicine.
Thank you.
Did u find any candidate over 25??
yateesh kumar the best age is between 18-28. If you're older your chance isn't that much.
Many over 25.. 18-35 is most common.
Littlest.Viking yea,true :) i've sended yesterday my email viking,need some personal tips,write a mail,i'll respond as fast as i can
Littlest.Viking ty for the reply
have you ever met a legionnaire outside of France? what state do you live in?
I have not, and i live in no state, im from Canada. Its not a common thing for Canadians to do as we have a great country.
Littlest.Viking My father told me a lot of Russian, Africans tend to leave to join and to not trust Russian but my dad join way before i was born.
The one russian i was good friends with was awesome. So were a few of the other slavs i met. But there were some i absolutely did not like at all.
Viking, it might be best that you don't come across a legionnaire, we don't like frauds.
I've met ex legionnaires outside France.
I have tattoos on my neck and hand and a metal plate in my hand. Will this disqualify me? Also, will they do a background check on you?
Jason Victor In french army in general having metal plates in your body disqualifies you instantly
Thank your for the videos. You are helping a lot of people. Is there a library in Castel? Can you read books? Or are you too busy for that during service?
Mauric, no library. Take a couple of books with you but you won't have a lot of time to read them. Take a learning French book also.
Hey man can you please tell me the timeframe of all the things you’ve done in the legion? How long will the selection plus basic be in the legion?
Lin He 1 month
5 year contract then you can go 10 year
do you get to go to a combat zone? I was thinking the legion or the Marines but I don't want to sit in Garrison all day so I was looking at the legion
Fool.
+bob smith care to elaborate?
bob smith, if I may. kief smith (no relation to bob I assume) you haven't even got in and you're looking to take on the whole of the ISIS on your own. kief, give it time.
He has watched too many movies and thinks he is going to be a hero. He has no idea how it works.
I have a really tiny crevice in my k9 tooth is that a problem
Highly unlikely. You will be fine.
Is there a special forces or equivalent in the FFL
No, but you can transfer....THe French governments have always been paranoid about giving the Legion to much freedom
they have the gcp and the other mountain group but not really actual special forces
Bro please one question
What is the big reason about not accepting people there?
Roll call when I served...at least 4 times a day. Appels? number by number.
appreciate men ...I have an issue with carrying angel in my arm ... please I will appreciate if you can put little light on this issue .
Im sorry, can you clarify the question please.
This coming tuesday will be the next one and yeah Ill explain all that. Nice heads up for others.
What time do you wake up?
In the basic traing? Well its different but you sleep arround 2-5 hours a day.
can i leave after basic training?
carrying angle elbow. any suggestions
I lookes up what you are talking about and it should be fine.
randeep 300 let us know whether Dr Viking's on line consultation works or not.
What about previous felonies for armed robbery, etc?
As far as I remember, if it's not murder or drugs, you're good to go
Did you make the trip and try out?
What the acerage age of the people there
Hey bro thanks for vids! Can you comunicate with outsiders? If you're married or something
About a month or two after getting into regiment. So in total about 6 months before being able to leave weekends out on town or just have a phone.
Most armies have an armoury, you do not walk around with your weapon 24/7 haha
How long do we have to spend in total in castle bruh?
4 months
What are the name to the first 2 regiments u named

He's a quitter. He does not know what tf he's talking about.
HOW LONG YOU WAS THERE ?
5 months
AND THEN? DID YOU GO VIA DESSERTION OF BECAUSE OF WHAT
Finished it all just fine, and did well as well. The legion however was not what i expected and i went there with higher expectations, which i wanna advise others not to do. But thats all in the next video so you all know why i went and why i left.
But lets me honest. How did you quit after that the 5months?
Higher expectations means it was to easy in general ?
Hey man, I was jut wondering how old you were when you joined the legion? I'm 25, am I too old?
The legion recruits people from 18 to 39 years, so you're not too old at all, it's the perfect age if you ask me.
Quick question, would the legion bother with man boobs?
The French love their 2h brakes after lunch.
Yeah me too
Are there any germans left in the legion?
Germans in the legion, yes. Nazi Germany influences in the Legion, yes.
LoneWolf & Bike Many patriotic Germans infact joins the legion due to history. After WW2 many Germans from the Waffen-SS joined the legion.
wow
after the 2nd world war Germans where forced to join the legion!
That line was the line that dissuaded me from joining the Legion, am going to join the Army instead
Wheb you say that at the end i will reqiest the regiment.. What do you mean during the time there i will learn about all regiments or just
say '' sniper or paratrooper ''
The only thing I would miss is weed... I am working hard to save up.
30y old with 8 years in the USMC have a ton of tattoos arms, hands, I'm fit. They going to give me the chop for tattoos?
Well fuck... Glad I ran into this thread. Semper fi brother.
Geez this guy calls the Legionaires 3rd world shitpumps and slavic psychos. What do you suppose he would call his fellow Marine recruits?
Huge help. Thanks.....
