That is a bummer!! Lucky you had your wife to pick you up. If you had a quick link you would have been okay, if you are only needing to install you can just hold the rear brake & put weight on pedal to clip together (no pliers required). Good video 😀👍

Thanks for the tip, I now have a couple of quick links in the saddle bag so if this happens again I will be able to do as you suggest.
