Well the mangaka Eichiro Oda has been working on it for 27 years now...and he's worked himself into the hospital a couple of times. The anime team however has been basically told to cut loose over the last few years. You'll see it's starts off as a pretty typical late 90s anime...and then has two decades of progression in quality.
That's such a long time! Really shows how passionate he is for his creation. No wonder One Piece has so many fans. Deservedly so. I'm so excited to be on this journey! ☺️

It's a great video and an even better series, couldn't recommend it more. Skip the filler episodes your first watch through, trust me.. later in the story you'll start getting these "holy crap it's all connected" moments, and the filler content opens up quite a number of plot holes. If you have any questions, feel free to ask, I know an uncomfortable amount about the story. Enjoy ;D

I agree about the filler. Some, even if not plot holes per se, highlight things that are kinda supposed to be forgotten about until it reappears in the story. Like G8 has such scene.

New here.. first thing just watch the series whether it get the likes or not simply don't put the video's onn.. just watch it personally.. look I'm catch up to the Manga and not just that but I'm in the Chapter leaks and forums everywhere that how can I get more new information about one piece on anything anime manga merch all sorts of things.. if you love the world in general like our real world and even if like to learn history even for 2-5% den you are on the greatest journey to learn how the world is wht the world is how the world operates everything about the society like we live day to day.. coz ODA!! the writer of this series to me has read all the holy books in this world.. Jewish Christian Muslim hindu Greek like everything coz there is everything about their mythology.. like there are literal GOD'S in this series' and believe me like this isn't just a simple story about a pirate finding the treasure or some GOD'S fighting another GOD'S like we see in Indian films or webseries it's way beyond our imagination.. as you'll progress to the story you'll start to connect all the dots into the right place.. to simply put ONE PIECE is based on the principle of "TWO SIDES OF THE SAME COIN'' like heads & tails.. if you see something this first time then you have to imagine the same scenario but on a next huge level.. everything in this story is well & truly connected to each other.. so if you are going to start the story which I'll highly recommend you to it's a highly humble request to you to not to skip any ep in whatever reason you have like as of today "1112" have aired till so watch exactly this or skip even for the filler or anything.. coz in this story nothing is filler in anyway or form.. everything is canon to the story which means everything is a part of the story.. and also don't watch like me I did when I catch up the anime in less than 19-20 days when they aired 1000th ep coz the reason was simple I really love HANCOCK!! She was the core for me to start one piece and look where I am now in one piece in the deepest part of it.. so just imagine how much more you'll like.. i used to watch 40-50 ep on average daily my highest was i think 67-73 I don't remember exactly.. I won't recommend this method coz take your own time like daily 2-3 ep totally depends upon you.. I watched the series' when the lockdown was there and I mean the first total lockdown.

@@Manamyte29 It's a wonderful story and enjoy that you do not have to wait for to long as we had to do for the next episode. Some things that you won't understand in an instant are about to be revealed in the next 10 episodes and sometimes you think you know everything just so Oda turns everything on the head 500+ episodes later.
So my best advice: do not think to much about it to much just keep on watching. Sometimes Oda just want's you to not know it yet and you would be the very first that guessed everything right. Sometimes i have seen reactions where someone did pretty good but noone got everything and most of them said "omg, that is so much better that i had ever imagined".
You will love it and whenever there is something you don't like at first, you most likely will learn to love it.
if you're concerned about pacing issues give the manga a shot. i've never shared the issues i've heard from anime watchers

If you start watching One Piece - I recommend you to look up the episode guide to cut out filler episodes (except for the G8 filler after Skypiea). And if you start disliking the pacing - switch to One Pace which is more true to the manga. The anime does take liberties in making episodes last quite a bit longer.

Greatly the best anime EVER... you will finds that Eiichiro Oda (The author) its a true GENIOUS storyteller...
You will laughts (A LOT), you will cry (A LOT), you will hate characters, you will love characters (A LOT)... One Piece is truly a world appart... is another dimension that we can see throught a window... It just feels so fucking ALIVE!!

@@Manamyte29 I have watch Naruto first before One Piece and I can say Naruto has like 40+% filler? Whereas One Piece only has 9% filler episodes (you can Google for filler list to skip) some episodes are mixed with fillers, and later the series it drags from time to time, the solution? Skip recap, and after like 700eps, speed up on any unnecessary flashbacks lol you will know by then when you see the same thing the rest will be smooth aha

Personnally, i like this video, but "The Appeal of One Piece" gives u the reason why One Piece is so appealing,
and some interesting trivia to sale numbers and why One Piece is a national japanese phenomenon. ^^
