[SFM/Commentary] Why MEET THE VIDEOS are MASTERPIECES.

- Voice reveal that's a 20-minute essay that consists of me rambling on about what I appreciate about the Meet The Videos. I recorded my voice at random times and wrote the script before the lockdown was even a thing, so If you find some enjoyment in it, I'm happy to record something better in the future. If not, new video coming out in 3 weeks and this will remain as a fun experiment. Enjoy :)
Thank You to Shork for editing the casablanca clip and to Monsieur Herr for script doctoring! Check them out:

Thanks for watching!!! Music is listed in the credits :) - Фільми й анімація
Some of the rendering quality is a bit rough, some of the cuts have got black frames in them, but I think it's pointless to spend another 19 hours rendering and uploading everything. I've got a life to live! I'm learning Piano boogie improvisation, my throat hurts so my voice sounds rough, I want to finish the new video, go outside, run around! No way I can work on this video for one more second!
I hope You all enjoy my little test, new video coming in like 3 weeks.

Hi A dummie
No
i just made it 666
All of this at the age of 17. You are a legend HoovyTube
i know fucking right
Yes, good life ahead of him
Wait, he's 17?
Indeed
Woah
The analyst is incredibly detailed, the problem is that your voice/accent is a bit hard to understand for me, great job though.
That's perfectly understandable. I manually made the subtitles!
Indeed
Yeah but it’s either way a super good video
Hoovy Tube Hey it’s ok though, a lot of people I watch have accents. Also great video HoovyTube!
i speak pretty good english but my german accent always shines through
even though one of my english sub teachers thought im an american exchange student.
Only in TF2 can the medic class be one of the most badass characters of the game.
True
Honest opinion: even though the last class-related MTT video was eight years ago, I still believe they are a masterpiece that brought together the TF2 community as a whole.
Keep doing what you love to do, Hoovy.
Uncel Deeen: The teleporter is the most important building and the dispenser is important for supporting your team
Meet the Engie: _YEEEE THREE SENTRIES_
If there was a device engineer can use to replace both teleporters with sentries...
Build sentries! Build four sentries!
seiously i got fooled by that meet the team video when I first watched it. I was disappointed to see that you can only build one sentry. But, obviously I got over it soon and I started maining the engineer.
Some think they can outsmart me...
Maybe...
*sniff*
Maybe...
I've yet to meet one that can outsmart a "this is a bucket" comment.

I've studied communication arts in college, and this really made me emotional in a way. My course in college includes filmmaking, so I have those memories about the camera shots, the techs, and others. My teacher (even though he's a bit scary with standards) always shows us the classic movies such as "Touch of Evil", "Memento", and "Living in Oblivion". Also, our finals project involved making a short film. I was the cameraperson and editor in the 'production team' twice. There were good times and bad times, but we were able to finish it.
So, seeing this video to the end and you talking about filmmaking almost brings me tears of joy. This video made my day. Thank you and keep up the good work.
Hes only 16 and hes already into animations
Really good animations

After I turned subtitles on, I was hooked. I'm not a film maker, but an engineer (not the killing kind with guns, but electrical) but your grasp of the concepts and components that make up the composition of a good film is very well thought out. I'd be willing to bet better thought out than movie makers more than twice your age. I mess around with videos for the trains on my channel, but never have I tried to make a story, or go beyond just a documentation of the equipment. I never gave it a second thought until now.
Your video has expanded my understanding of film and what separates documentation of any particular day from actually showing what it was like to be there seeing it.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience!

Short answer: Because they are the best
Long answer: because they are the best videos of all times
Overwatch: We have a very deep and memorable story.
Team Fortress 2: Hold my bear.
Overwatch: we have better community, memorable story, and great multiplayer
Tf2 community with me in it: youre community isnt great at all, youre community only exist just to make porn videos unlike us. You dont need memorable character to make game great, all you need to do only make memorable moment with your mercenaries also the player around you. Also we have better multiplayer also update in it. Its been more 10 years and tf2 still alive because our hope to make tf2 live on for the next generation
Every time I see something promoting Overwatch, it just screams GENERIC SUPERHERO MOVIE.

You can hear him try to hold back his laugh when saying
"Thanks for coming to my ted talk"
The MEET THE VIDEOS are the masterpieces that Overwatch doesn’t have.
That’s why we love TF2 more because we knew who they really were.
And eventually becoming our memorable characters and the game itself.
"Professionals, Have standards. Be polite. Be efficient. and have a plan to kill everyone you meet." -Meet The Sniper
I still adore that quote to this day
Great work man. When it comes to animation, I see projects as experiences, where I experiment with different things all the time. For example, one animation I experimented with bullet shells and their interaction. The one I'm working on right now I am experimenting with moving vehicles. The next will be fast paced movement. I try to stay positive and look for crticing when it comes to my animation, and not the characters, story or any of that. Dont feel bad about dislikes. Even though I personally dont like fortnite I have rewatched the videos many times, because the animation is just so damn good. You have serious potential, so dont let any prejudice go against you.
Cheers to more videos!
Also, as a side note, I actually have friends that are polish that have a much thicker accent than what the comments say you have.
this is the most polish english accent I've ever heard
Anyway
that's actually a very nice explanation and great editing while still keeping the video interesting!
10:40 I thought the punchline was that Spy was smoking and there was a no smoking sign right behind soldier.
Granted you'd have to rewind and go back to see that.
In he original cut of the video i mentioned that! Shame that i forgot rerecording it.

I did not laugh at the moment when he punched spy. The thing making me laugh is when people write in comments some laughs then I weirdly start to laugh like it would be some command. At that part it was not joke but just something to make bit attention then joke.

You've got a good voice for narration, Hoovy-Tube. I didn't expect that. And the video is very well edited and interesting.
I love your animations, but I would enjoy seeing more stuff like this too.
As someone who is very self-concious about his character writing, this video was very helpful for me. Thanks for making it!
This video is so fun to watch. I hope you can make this a series.
Saving this not just for TF2 related projects, but for honestly any and all projects I may have in the future. I’m so glad I joined the community just in time to see this when it’s hot off the press!!
i love the message behind this video at the end :) thank you for speaking with you broken English

The best part about this is how emotionlessly the robo-scout stares at the camera. It's amazing.
Dude, you really put some effort on your videos, and even do this isnt one of your best animations videos; You really made an effort analyzing and searching information. Good job boy
Great analysis dude ! Realy indepth and so much to learn even if youre not using SFM ^^

Dude... I can't believe you're only sixteen. You have a HUGE future ahead of you. I hope you're making some serious bank with all of your videos, because you deserve it. I can't wait to see you grow further as an animator, your potential is immense.

Dude, I can't tell how much I applaud you for making this, not just for Team Fortress but in the creative community as well. As an actor I can relate to a lot of the stuff you point out and it has been a great influence. Absolutely fucking beautiful. Learned more about film making in 1 video than I would with enough 'critic' videos to last me a life time.
the black and white heavy really caught me off guard lmao, fucken died. The funniest part was that it fit so well that it took like a half second longer than it should've to register
I just want to say I learned a lot from this video,I'm kinda working on a story and I've trying to make my characters as real as possible,This video really helped with that.
I respect you and your masterpieces.
Wow can't believe people dislike this. Maybe it's your accent. I don't care how hard to understand your voice is, I just love your videos.
