I just applied these settings and played a couple games myself. It feels great. Better than my old settings actually. I realize now that I had my verticals way too high. Now when I do a quick spin around I'm not accidentally starting up in the sky, lol.

These settings are almost spot on for me. I had to lower the aim boost and increase the ramp time slightly for ADS, but apart from that I feel a lot smoother than I did before. Thanks a lot!!
Update: I’m also loving the “dual” sensitivities for hipfire/ADS using Linear, especially the more-precise hipfire (than the “Exponential without boost”, I’d mentioned above), thanks Pancake! Your settings felt really strong and (for me, personally) controllable after lowering the values, increasing the Aim Boost Threshold to 0.95, and (admittedly) using my Edge controller’s Quick curve at lowest setting, which paired really well with Linear to add a little responsiveness for the tiny adjustments.

@jrak7691 On Dualsense Edge Controller settings for Hunt Showdown… I spent so many hours in the shooting range after each game, recreating the various encounter ranges, and concluded the following… L-Stick Curve: Quick (+4) (in Edge) for more rapid directional strafing & air control. L-Stick Deadzone: 0 (in Edge). Or as needed in Hunt because Hunt’s settings feel more nuanced or granular. R-Stick Curve: Default (in Edge) feels most consistent between all encounter ranges while using Hunt’s various curves (I love Linear). R-Stick Deadzone: 0 or 1 tick only (in Edge)… Most because, Hunt’s Deadzones controls feel very granular and preferable as they truly do shape my aim. More on that in a sec. I love Pancake’s settings, although I’ve adjusted the ADS X to 0.50. The the R-Stick DZ of 0.13 feels “slippery”until I’ve warmed up, meaning: If I’m just starting & I’m alone (no party), I’ll go into Shooting Range and shoot ranges with 0.09 (more slippery and missing), then play a soul survivor with 0.11, and finally a Bounty Hunt with a “grippier” 0.13, maybe 0.14. If I’m wanting to play with friends off the hoot, I’ll start Bounty Hunt with a “grippy” 0.16, and loosen up to 0.13, maybe 0.14. For me, adjusting R-Stick Deadzone in this way expedites the consistency of my aim, given how much it changes depending on how warmed up I am.
thank you so much, i was furious with the new settings they came out with. i’ve played fps games my whole life and never have ran into such weird new settings, i literally couldn’t aim and i’m a 5/6 star. these settings helped me so much, i still don’t like it as much as the original simple ones we had before… however this is definitely doable. thank you so much man i’ve been waiting for a video like this. you’ve earned a sub and a like! if you wouldn’t mind dropping a hunter control settings that would be dope because i use hunter not gunslinger but these work pretty good for hunter as well. 👍

Thanks for watching and glad I could help, I’ve never played much hunter I’m afraid so I wouldn’t be the best to ask, however the basic principles here should translate over, you can probably tweak your “lowered aim” sensitivities to be a bit higher than your “shoulder” though as that’s the state the hunter scheme plays in for most of the time.

Didn’t realize how much that was hindering my gameplay. Hunt console players need more love and acceptance… keep up the GREAT work!
No stick drift issues on my current controller, but I did notice that adjusting the deadzone settings caused stick drift for myself and my buddy. Standing still, we both noticed that our hunters moved backwards and to the right.
Thanks man I’ll be testing this after work once I get home. I was using super low turn speed but super high aim boost speed 4.0 so I can snap quickly on people but it just been hurting my gameplay tbh

I would add to adjust one setting at a time then accept that and go to the next....bc if you made allot of adjustments and your aim isn't feeling well then you will not know what to change...

Okay so I tried it your way! Much too fast for me. I can’t say my own settings are any better. But you gave me a good starting point.. I have a sneaky suspicion that well all need to take the time to set all new sens settings to compete... I have a hunch that Crytek is preparing to combine the PC and console servers.... I hope I'm wrong about this...
If they ever did this, I’d be fine with it as long as there was an option to opt out of it and play with just your platform. I’d doubt they’d suddenly force players to all play together.

No worries, it’s difficult to say exactly as everyone’s settings would vary. I believe if you keep everything how it was when you found it, change your curve to linear and then lower the aim boost from there, people have said that’s how they got it to feel closer to 1.14

I am indeed! there’ll still be a degree of text based formats in certain videos for efficiency and clarity but it’s likely you’ll see more narration in future projects where it feels appropriate, like review and guide type videos for example, glad to hear you enjoyed it!
Everything in this video still applies to 1896 as there no major differences aside from the center crosshair. The settings in the pinned comment are still what I'm using after the update. However it should be noted there is currently a bug with Vertical Aim boost not being applied which is why it might feel off, either remove aim boost or (do what Ive done) which is upped my vertical sense to about 1.20 temporarily until they fix it.
@@FuckPCculture everything Ive stated in this video is still relevant as (aside from one bug) the settings are the same, making a new video would feel cheap in that regard as I may as well just upload the same video. If there’s nothing new to add to the topic I don’t particularly feel good about rehashing perfectly good existing content just for a viewership bump so Until they add substantial new settings which is entirely likely there’s just no reason to make a new settings video Imo. If less people find this video because of that, that’s a bed I’m willing to lie in. Gives other creators a space for opportunity too which I think is perfectly good
I play on Xbox and it doesn't matter if i plug regular controller or my expensive one, deadzone settings doesn't work for me. It works in other games perfectly. There are some posts on reddit about it. How does it work for you, i dont get it :D
They seem to work fine for me, though I imagine there will be further fine tuning and more improvements down the line. This was just the first step, so hopefully we’ll get more qol changes in future updates
I’d also had it confirmed that there’s some discrepancies with the dead zones but it’s being looked into, hopefully an update for it is on the way for you
There was an update today on 1896, just when I got use to the sensitivity it seems to have changed somehow after the update? It feels really floaty, I have a lot of hours in hunt and was a good shot previous to the update, now it feels honestly worse. I’m not sure what it is, it’s made me consider, maybe it’s time to move on from hunt
Great video man, explaining aim boost and aim assist all great! But recommending people to turn off aim assist is wild! Playing without it will put you at a huge disadvantage against people who has it on. You can train and play as much as you'd like, but fps games on controller will always be clunky without aim assist.
Thank you. As for AA, in hunt it doesn’t work like other games and because of this I explained the reasons why I personally turn it off, if you feel at a disadvantage then by all means turn it on. But I’ve never played with it on and don’t feel at a disadvantage at all and aiming feels much more consistent because of it. That recommendation is obviously just a personal preference and will vary depending on the player

This New HDR settings are strange, I played and the next morning I felt some kind of retinal burn and sour eyes, they really increased brightness. Do you have some HDR settings recomendation for perfect picture. Im on PS5 console.

Distance pings only work in the shooting range or when using a spyglass. Currently though it’s bugged in the shooting range and isn’t showing up, there’s no fix until Crytek themselves patch it I’m afraid.
Hi bro may i ask you a question? if turn abf of ADS to 0 would that be better for aiming? Cause i think abf was really rely on muscle memory and also need many Concentration
Entirely depends on you, I have aim boost on ads to allow for flicks but if it works for you off then leave it off. Try it out and see how it feels. It would likely be more consistent overall so might be better for you
@@Baltus-ig5mm I would say there is a bug currently with the vertical aim boost so if your aim feels janky either remove aim boost or increase your vertical sensitivity until they fix it
U said aim assist working while u both moving … can we consider gun moving (right stick) as moving ? So for instance I am standing still but aiming my gun would aim assist appear ?
I believe it’s only active when the player themselves is strafing/walking so left stick movement. If you or the opponent is standing still it shouldn’t take affect, but I’m not 100% sure as Crytek never went into more detail on this.
for some reason when i change my deadzone it doesnt change it. it still feels like its stuck at .20. Even when I put it at 0 it doesnt do anything. Would you maybe know why?
The new settings are great. But what is your opinion on aim-assist? it definitively help players to track targets in dark places, in woods, dense foliage and basements...I dont think it should have been added. They banned ReShade from PC for the exact same unfair advantage...
I haven’t had much playtime with it but haven’t really had any notable egregious experiences against it. People seem to hit / miss me as often as usual. I personally don’t care much either way and don’t think it compares to reshade in that regard, most console games have this as a setting and I don’t see it as particularly unfair when everyone has access to it and has some pretty strict circumstances to when it’s activated, it’s no aim bot and the player still has to do the majority of the work to stay on target, when I tested it there were only really a handful of situations where I felt it was even working to my favour as it felt fairly inconsistent but if they decided to revert / remove it I wouldn’t be upset at all.

This settings are good but there is one little problem...when I stand still, my hunter kind of moves on his own. He is making slight small steps backward like he is sliding. Does anyone knows what it is about?
I appreciate the time and effort you put into the video but I, personally, can not find anything that feels comfortable or natural. The game just feels clunky no matter what. I play a lot of console shooters and this feels the worst. I get it is a slower paced game but my issue is that the controls themselves just feel awful and clunky. The acceleration in this game just feels off. R6S, PUBG, COD, and even Valorant feels leagues better than this. I really wish there was a way to make this game feel, control-wise, like other console shooters.

I don’t think there’s currently a way to disable this, they’re looking to add custom button mapping next though I believe so you’ll likely be able to change this and many other input options in one of the next updates

Your settings explanation and setup helped my game immensely. It’s night and day. Hitting head shots is so much easier now, especially without aim assist. Didn’t realize how much that was hindering my gameplay. Hunt console players need more love and acceptance… keep up the GREAT work!

No stick drift issues on my current controller, but I did notice that adjusting the deadzone settings caused stick drift for myself and my buddy. Standing still, we both noticed that our hunters moved backwards and to the right.
I believe that’s a bug currently with the deadzone settings, if you increase the values a little it should stop though.

I would add to adjust one setting at a time then accept that and go to the next....bc if you made allot of adjustments and your aim isn't feeling well then you will not know what to change...

If they ever did this, I’d be fine with it as long as there was an option to opt out of it and play with just your platform. I’d doubt they’d suddenly force players to all play together.

No worries, it’s difficult to say exactly as everyone’s settings would vary. I believe if you keep everything how it was when you found it, change your curve to linear and then lower the aim boost from there, people have said that’s how they got it to feel closer to 1.14

Everything in this video still applies to 1896 as there no major differences aside from the center crosshair. The settings in the pinned comment are still what I'm using after the update. However it should be noted there is currently a bug with Vertical Aim boost not being applied which is why it might feel off, either remove aim boost or (do what Ive done) which is upped my vertical sense to about 1.20 temporarily until they fix it.
@@FuckPCculture everything Ive stated in this video is still relevant as (aside from one bug) the settings are the same, making a new video would feel cheap in that regard as I may as well just upload the same video.
If there’s nothing new to add to the topic I don’t particularly feel good about rehashing perfectly good existing content just for a viewership bump so Until they add substantial new settings which is entirely likely there’s just no reason to make a new settings video Imo. If less people find this video because of that, that’s a bed I’m willing to lie in. Gives other creators a space for opportunity too which I think is perfectly good

I play on Xbox and it doesn't matter if i plug regular controller or my expensive one, deadzone settings doesn't work for me. It works in other games perfectly. There are some posts on reddit about it. How does it work for you, i dont get it :D
They seem to work fine for me, though I imagine there will be further fine tuning and more improvements down the line. This was just the first step, so hopefully we’ll get more qol changes in future updates
I’d also had it confirmed that there’s some discrepancies with the dead zones but it’s being looked into, hopefully an update for it is on the way for you

There was an update today on 1896, just when I got use to the sensitivity it seems to have changed somehow after the update? It feels really floaty, I have a lot of hours in hunt and was a good shot previous to the update, now it feels honestly worse. I’m not sure what it is, it’s made me consider, maybe it’s time to move on from hunt
There’s a chance that they may have fixed the vertical aim boost bug that was introduced at launch but I haven’t been on to see the difference yet
Great video man, explaining aim boost and aim assist all great! But recommending people to turn off aim assist is wild! Playing without it will put you at a huge disadvantage against people who has it on.
You can train and play as much as you'd like, but fps games on controller will always be clunky without aim assist.
Thank you. As for AA, in hunt it doesn’t work like other games and because of this I explained the reasons why I personally turn it off, if you feel at a disadvantage then by all means turn it on. But I’ve never played with it on and don’t feel at a disadvantage at all and aiming feels much more consistent because of it. That recommendation is obviously just a personal preference and will vary depending on the player

Not currently, though that was announced to be coming in one of the upcoming 2024 updates.

This New HDR settings are strange, I played and the next morning I felt some kind of retinal burn and sour eyes, they really increased brightness. Do you have some HDR settings recomendation for perfect picture. Im on PS5 console.

Some players also claim that it has blinding HDR after upadate. I mean are these guys want to screw this game on purpose.

Distance pings only work in the shooting range or when using a spyglass. Currently though it’s bugged in the shooting range and isn’t showing up, there’s no fix until Crytek themselves patch it I’m afraid.

Entirely depends on you, I have aim boost on ads to allow for flicks but if it works for you off then leave it off. Try it out and see how it feels. It would likely be more consistent overall so might be better for you

U said aim assist working while u both moving … can we consider gun moving (right stick) as moving ? So for instance I am standing still but aiming my gun would aim assist appear ?
I believe it’s only active when the player themselves is strafing/walking so left stick movement. If you or the opponent is standing still it shouldn’t take affect, but I’m not 100% sure as Crytek never went into more detail on this.

The new settings are great. But what is your opinion on aim-assist? it definitively help players to track targets in dark places, in woods, dense foliage and basements...I dont think it should have been added. They banned ReShade from PC for the exact same unfair advantage...
I haven’t had much playtime with it but haven’t really had any notable egregious experiences against it. People seem to hit / miss me as often as usual. I personally don’t care much either way and don’t think it compares to reshade in that regard, most console games have this as a setting and I don’t see it as particularly unfair when everyone has access to it and has some pretty strict circumstances to when it’s activated, it’s no aim bot and the player still has to do the majority of the work to stay on target, when I tested it there were only really a handful of situations where I felt it was even working to my favour as it felt fairly inconsistent but if they decided to revert / remove it I wouldn’t be upset at all.
The new settings are great but aim assist is still in the game for some reason and we don't have an fov slider.
Yeah I’m hoping fov is something that at the very least we’ll see with the engine upgrade

This settings are good but there is one little problem...when I stand still, my hunter kind of moves on his own. He is making slight small steps backward like he is sliding. Does anyone knows what it is about?

I appreciate the time and effort you put into the video but I, personally, can not find anything that feels comfortable or natural. The game just feels clunky no matter what.
I play a lot of console shooters and this feels the worst. I get it is a slower paced game but my issue is that the controls themselves just feel awful and clunky. The acceleration in this game just feels off.
R6S, PUBG, COD, and even Valorant feels leagues better than this. I really wish there was a way to make this game feel, control-wise, like other console shooters.

I don’t think there’s currently a way to disable this, they’re looking to add custom button mapping next though I believe so you’ll likely be able to change this and many other input options in one of the next updates
