I exactly feel the same ... I love my dog more than I like human beings. Kind of society I live..people around me started calling me crazy. But I know dogs are the purest soul in this mean and insane world.
I’m so happy that you are sleeping better. Our 5 baby dogs are true Blessing to us. 3 indoor girls are just like our children. We Thank God for them everyday! So I truly believe and pray that you are happy and healthy forever. May GOD Bless you always!
I had the same trouble after my 16 year old dog passed. I didn’t have a dog for almost 3 years. Then my wife bought me another dog and my panic attacks left. I will never not have a dog. That was the first time I had never had a dog.
I love ❤ my dogs. They sleep with me always 😊. I love the comfort of their warm soft body. They are my constant companions. I’m an elderly person with a chronic illness, their companionship means everything to me. My angels 😇🥰.
My little baby loved me with all her heart and I could feel her love deeply. She could make out if I was emotionally down. I have her in my heart and I wish to meet her in my next life. Dogs are best friends for humans and are certainly better than humans as they never deceive us and love us unconditionally. Lots of love to my little baby.
Iv slept with The Scoobs every night for 27 years. I don’t go on vacay unless The Scoobs can come along too. As you get older, you realise, a loyal dog 🐕 is a far better companion than a person ever will be. 🐕🐕 All The Way. Also, as mentioned here too, dogs are far more intuitive & intelligent than people. 🐕 read you & know intuitively what you need, protection, comfort & healing.
I adopted a "mini pitte" from animal control 7 months ago. It was at a time they let 100-200 animals go to sleep. They saw something about her n had her fostered. Being a "mini pittie" she was used for breeding for about 7 yrs. Pups were sold for $1500-$2500. She has some physical issues as a result of lack of nutrition . . . Any food she was given went to the pups in utero n nursing. She's about 8 now n will never go hru that again. She sleeps with me on "our bed" n is always beside me. She loves to do what I call "the bully bully". Loves to move things with her head. She will sleep in between my pillows, next to me n anywhere else she wants. Sleeping together is a gift from her to me. Keep on keeping on with all showing ur love!
Adopting her from such a tough situation and giving her a loving home where she's free from the hardships of her past is such a beautiful act of kindness. It sounds like she's thriving with you. Her story is a powerful reminder of the difference love and care can make in an animal's life. Thanks for sharing your story🐾💖
I don't sleep very well unless my baby girl is next to me on the bed. She is warm and I feel safe and protected when she is close. And I know she feels the same 😍😍
Warmth is very true. I had two dogs. Darcy, a 13 yo shepherd mix and Bella, a 2 yo lab pit mix. An ice storm knocked out the power to my neighborhood during the storm and a tree fell on my house. Darcy had a double coat and loved the cold. Bella has a single short hair coat like a pit. She got up on the bed and slept right next to my stomach or back. I don’t think I would have been as comfortable as I was without her. She usually sleeps on a bed on the floor.
We have 4 little terrier mixes. 2 sleep between me and my wife under the blanket. 1 always sleeps at the foot of the bed keeping guard. The 4th cuddles with me at the edge of the bed near my head 🤗
I have a malinois. She is the best doggo... She used to sleep right beside me, but... a few months ago he started to move from my bed to my livingroom as soon as i fall asleep. We live in an apartment, so the livingroom is right outside. I really think she does this to look after me. I love her.
Malinois are known for their loyalty and protective instincts, so it's heartwarming but not surprising that he chooses to sleep in the living room, likely keeping watch over you and your home🐾💖
My dog moves throughout the night, going between next to my head or cuddled up against my side (little spoon style)… every once in awhile, when he’s scared, he’ll cuddle up between my legs (I sleep with one knee pulled up on my side), I think it makes him feel enveloped in the safety & comfort I provide him. It’s basically just our bed now, my poor hubby has to squeeze in where he can… half the time his legs are hanging off the bed when I wake up and he’s sleeping with his head at the foot of the bed lol… he always jokes that he’s gonna buy himself a cot… but he actually loves how much our dog and I love each other, because he loves us both so much & thinks our bond is sweet.
That sounds like a truly loving and cozy bedtime arrangement, with everyone finding their special spot-even if it means a bit of a squeeze for hubby! It’s heartwarming to hear how much love is shared in your family, and how your dog finds comfort and safety with you. Keep cherishing these sweet moments! 🐾💤
Absolutely, if our doggos are happy - that's truly what matters most! It's all about the joy and comfort you both share in those moments together. Dogs often seek closeness with their humans as a way of showing love and feeling secure, and if snuggling up with you at night brings him happiness, it’s a beautiful thing. 🐾😊
I like when my dog nephew sleeps on pillow above me with his head on same pillow as me. My dog niece does by my legs. Last time though I woke up with him on me.
Hubs cat came up missing about a month after we took in a stray dog. They got along well. If we didn't have a dog, he would have been lost. How did we ever live without our Chi Jack.
I'm really sorry to hear about your husband's cat going missing; and I'm truly glad Chi Jack has been able to bring you some joy in the midst of it. 🐾💔
30+ year owners of Jack Russell's, mostly rescue. We joke they are like heat seeking missiles, as they always want to snuggle or sleep with us. But I realized early on while Jacks are very independent and cat-like, they have a strong pack instinct and the sleep/snuggle is part of establishing that pack family and safety. They are also very scent sensitive, being ratters and hunters, and all of them have loved to make nests in clothes that have been worn but not yet washed. The worn T shirt trick also works when you have to fly with your dog in cabin....put a T shirt that smells like you in the under-seat carrier, it calms them down.
Oh, I love that description of Jack Russells as heat-seeking missiles! It's so spot-on for those little bundles of energy, isn't it? Thanks for sharing these insights into life with Jack Russells🐾💕
I had to lift my Jack Russell into bed and tuck her in everynight. She could jump onto the bed, but it is not ladylike. My retriever had her bed at foot of bed, guarding the bed. She liked to be ready for action. She was not banned from bed she just liked to be ready. Really it was the Jack Russell's bed. She shared the bed with me. Very generous of her.
My dog has become my constant shadow. I have epilepsy and heart problems and he has somehow learnt to read the signs without any training. He likes to snuggle in bed with me despite having a long coat, and he likes my arm around him, and his head on my boobs. he is a 9 1/2 stone German Shepherd cross Akita so he can get quite heavy. I am certainly used to snoring and sneezes in my face now and I wouldn't have it any other way. He likes a morning and a good night kiss on the nose, and when we are both a bit cold in the winter, he snuggles in even closer. I don't need a partner. I just have my dog to hold in my arms and if I do get a partner in the future, he can sleep in the back garden
We have 4 dogs 3 girls and a boy. The girls are border collie husky shepherd mixes and the boy is a husky. When i go to bed the three girls sleep with me and the boy sleeps with my sister. Sometimes I will go to sleep with one up next to me and the other 2 at the foot. I don't think that they ever leave. The funny thing is that one of the girls is my sisters dog along with the husky.
My dog sleeps at the foot of my bed usually. If she gets hot she gets up and goes into the living room. It’s a ground floor flat so she can just wander there without any stairs. She sometimes comes back and gets on the bed again, sometimes not
Both of my 2 Pit bull dogs sleep with me. My boy sleeps up by my head and the girls sleeps down by my feet area and they are so comfortable and snore and cuddle with me everynight.
My dog slept with me for 13 years. She had a severe injury to her shoulder and lost her leg during the second surgery. Since she probably got hurt jumping out of my bed, I do not let her sleep with me anymore, and she is not happy about this. She had her own pillow on the other side of my double bed and she slept there. I am so afraid of her getting hurt, that I do not let her sleep with me any more. We both miss it, but I must protect that little 4 1/2 lb dog from ever getting hurt again. I miss her in bed, and I know she misses sleeping with me, but her safety comes first.
Oh, what a tough situation for both of you! It's hard to make changes like this, especially after 13 years of cozy nights together. Sending lots of positive thoughts your way as you both navigate this change. 💖🐾🛏
Have you considered a ramp so that the dog can get up and down without jumping? I made a ramp with rails for our blind in one eye 13 year old dachshund.
I found a ramp for dogs online and ordered two for my short-legged pup...one to allow him access to my bed and the other when he desires to 'sit' in a chair.
We pick both of our dogs up and put them on the bed at night and put them on the floor in the morning. They wake us up on the rare night they need to go potty.
While it’s sweet that my dog wants to curl up against me, I have back/hip issues that cause me to need my space to find comfortable positions. As I move incrementally to the other side of the bed throughout the night to get away from him, I always find him pressed up against me the following time I wake up.
I have a Doberman x GSP, he loves to lean on me at night but, like you, I have back and hip problems. I feel really mean telling him to move away, but it's so painful otherwise. When my husband was alive we had four dogs and we all slept in one big bed, everyone had their spot. Now it's just Finlay and me. He's getting old now and I'm dreading being without him. Not sure if I'll get another dog as I'm over 60, but can't imagine not having a dog... maybe I'll adopt an older one.
I’ve had 3 dogs since I was an adult , only this last one absolutely has to sleep with me , she even has to spoon me , it can get annoying, she’s very little at least
As much as we love dogs..My wife and I love and have cats. May I tell you that some cats maybe not all sleep with us..dependent on which human the cat has designated as their human. We have 5 rescues. One designated me as her human. Many the times I find her sleeping between my legs. My wife has 3 of our kids all around . By her back, on her pillow, one by her feet. And finally our 5th sleeps in his cat bed. BUT all night this guy is between us on the sofa sleeping .
That sounds like quite the cozy setup you and your wife have with your rescue cats! It's wonderful how each cat has found their own special way to be close to you both, each in their own chosen spot. Your home must be filled with so much love and the gentle purrs of contented cats. Thanks for sharing a slice of your life with your feline family! 🐾💤

There are a lot people I’ve seen that I would be more likely to wear a mask, gloves and perhaps even a hazmat suit just standing within fifteen feet of them than letting letting my clean, sweet, protective and cuddly cocker spaniel sleep beside me in my bed.
We have 4 dogs. They all sleep with us. I can't ever imagine having animals and not sleeping with them. I love animals more than people ❤

People are animals, just not as evolved
Are those 4 dogs chihuahuas? Or St. Bernard's ?
Bingo!!!!
My dogs have always loved me, never disappointed me, never cheated on me and offer me extreme comfort. I prefer my dogs over most people.
Sounds like you have an incredible bond with your dogs! 🤗🐶
AMEN!!!!
Dogs are truly God's gift to the world I love all of mine.i thank God every day for them. They are love bugs.
Or or orrrr: you just havent caught your dog cheating on you, yet;)
I never met your dogs and I like them better than I like most people.

During summer, when my dog feels warm and chooses not to sleep with me, I feel O F F E N D E D
And very lonely!!
I can feel my dog protecting us while she sleeps 😊😊😊
Under the blanket and curls up into my stomach or behind my knees ❤
I can't sleep without my dog.
Me neither!!
I have 2 labradors we all sleep together on a king sized bed at times I have 6 inches with toys as well!
My girl sleeps on my pillow or om the pillow beside me. My boy sleeps along my stomach. Love it!
My chi sleeps snuggled up to my back ❤
My JR has her bed next to mine but at about 3am she crawls into bed with me when she feels cool from the air con. I love it when she cuddles into me.

My dogs sleep on my side of the bed on either side of my legs under the blanket. I feel secure with them. ❤
No lie, I had one of the best night of sleep when I used to baby sit my friend's dog and he would sleep next to me

There are a lot people I’ve seen that I would be more likely to wear a mask, gloves and perhaps even a hazmat suit just standing within fifteen feet of them than letting letting my clean, sweet, protective and cuddly cocker spaniel sleep beside me in my bed.
Dogs do things for the same reasons as folks - they just do it better.
