I agree with the bad hydraulics you mentioned on all 3 olivers you listed but the motor trouble was not there as you say it was. The 3 speed was a good system and very durable not having the problems you say it does.

@@VintageMachines19one mistake you make here is the failure to compare that which was also available in the price range for the named tractors. There is also the continuous problem with tractor operators misusing tractors far over their intended capabilities.

Your opinions on this are laughable at best. The farmall M is one of the most iconic tractors ever and is still used by MANY farms to this day. And the M had a 248cu inch engine. The 264 was the super m. The only tractor on your list that actually belongs there is the Belarus……..

For the 8N being such a bad tractor as you said, they sure sold a lot of them. And as far as the WC I own several. And they are a great tractor. The main reason people went to the WD is because it had live hydraulics. Also as far as shock absorbtion. Its a tractor, not a Lincoln. Use a monroe seat and pneumatic tires. Problem solved.

    • @VintageMachines19

You make some valid points! The popularity of the 8N is definitely impressive, and the improvements in the WD show how innovation drives the industry. Thanks for sharing your insights!

You got a couple right like the Belarus. But anyone who has a Ford 8N and a Farmall M on any "bad tractor" list needs to talk to some real farmers. Plus this was the first time I have heard a MM G1355 referred to as a Utility Tractor.

@VintageMachines19 Well, we ended up getting a Ford TW 20. It was traded for a new JD 7800. All were 2wd, and I have to say that the Ford was a heck of a pulling machine! It didn't blink an eye pulling a 7 shank ripper, but local dealer could solve hydraulic valve issues, so it was traded.

  • @carl2755
    @carl2755 3 дні тому +3

some of this is nonsense. It is foolish to fault the JCB for being front end heavy - go take a look at all the articulated tractors because they are purposely made front end heavy. Another example is the JD 5055E was not good with heavy implements - that is an operator error for selecting too large of an implement or not properly weighting it. Not the tractor's fault. I think the JD 8850 should have made the list for its engine problems. Kinze made a business out of repowering them.

Yes that 955 V8 was probably the worst engine Deere ever made. I believe they went to Cummins after that before they came up with their later series of high horsepower engines. We had a White 2-110, which was an efficient, trouble free tractor for us, then traded for a 2-135 which I still have with close to 6000 hours on it. I have never had even the valve covers off, replaced a water pump, alternator, some hydraulic hoses, coolant lines and one injector line since 1985. No clutch or range shifting problems in almost 40 years but it has developed a few leaks over the years.

I often wonder if the makers of these videos ever had any contact of the brands and models they so quickly pull down. I know some of the tractors belittled were is fact some of the most loved and sold anywhere in North America. The White 105 field boss for example or the Ford N8 which sold half a million copies. Making videos to make them alone is part of what's wrong with UA-cam.

We had a Allis Chalmers tractor for hoeing sugar beet. The brakes were band style and horrible. You made sure you were in a low gear to minimize the damage you did if you hit anything. I certainly didn't like going down hill on the roads,it was quicker to drop the implement as well as use your brakes.

We had an M on the farm for YEARS and never had problems like he's blabbering on about. My but had the seat imprint on my butt starting when I was about 7. We had a couple MM and they were worthless.
The most gutless one we had was a Massy Ferguson basically a boat weight on rubber tires. First one we had was a steel wheel Allis.

You need to start being a bit more careful in your production
To start there is only one utility tractor in your list , even though you call it " 10 worst utility tractors"
You have random other makes showing up when discussing some of the models, it seems like you say " yep , thats the right colour , it'll do "
Most were highly respected machines , you may have gotten your information from one , poorly informed source
In general, you come across as not being very knowledgeable about your material
If you want your channel to grow then you need to do better
