They used to imagine these trills being the megalodon swishing its tail, but it seemed as though it never caught its prey, because it was Frif who chased the Megalodon and caught the prey in the end.
If this song sounded like Soulless, I genuinely don't think that anybody woulda had as much drive to grind this. Since I don't see any comments yet about this, I need to thank Jarvis and all of the people that helped him out (basically on geetah and the trials) to put together a GH custom that was both of the absolute peak difficulty and I love listening to. That's pretty damm hard to do. Obviously I can also thank that same group of people (especially Jarvis) for making something that's resulted in such a big milestone for the community. This song hasn't just pushed technical skill and endurance but also set a new stamdard for what GH/CH/RB customs can be at their peak in ways that I don't think any *one* song has ever put together before. I don't care if people agree, but, to me, this song is extra special, and to that point, so is this FC, fuckin' great job Frif. :)
To me the difference is this: I can still listen to this after all the grinds I've watched, but every single soulless has at least a couple things that make my ears bleed. That's the simple explanation. If you want more specifics, this is an overanalysis of wgat I already put. This song manages to be completely original where a majority of each soulless is derivative of the previous one(s). The big things that make me unable to enjoy any soulless are that the repetitive parts of the soulless series are grating and the drums in S5 (which is probably the best melodically) are abysmal in my opinion. Considering I've played a decent bit of drums in my life, I really key in on that kind of thing, and though Megalodon's drums aren't perfection, they don't make any part of the song worse like soulless 5's drums do in some parts. Oh yeah, and Megalodon has a sense of pace to it, the song has a structure that compliments the instrumentation, dynamics, and tones. Alright, that was too long but I hope you get where I'm coming from. 👍

Okay, this makes me legitimately emotional. Like, not even Tobe or Megapeng would upload anything other than Arch Trial A-B. Every great GH player would maybe get one or two of the easier solos, such as Acai getting Colrics Trial. And, ever since I downloaded this song, I've played each section as if I was just starting to climb Mount Everest. I'd get one of the hard parts, like, once, maybe at a slower speed, like part of Glitch, and I'd think I was on the verge of greatness. I'd imagine myself like I FC'd Sonic Stomp Outro B (I actually did that; on my channel). That's how fucking legendary of a song this is to hit. Not even the best of the best would upload more than three videos of section FCs of this song. Just... thinking about this FC happening in the future, it seems so distant. I thought even a tech FC was a bit of a reach. You'd think some god would have to step in 5 years from now, after Soulless 4 becomes Slow Ride and people have literally ascended. You'd think we'd basically have to be at 20XX before this gets FC'd. You'd imagine it being either a Megapeng video or a Frosted video. It wasn't even Frosted! It was not Megapeng! It was not one of these GH legends that has come to be a household name. Nay, FrifRaff, the possibly eight-year-old GH player with 33k subscribers... He was the god. He was the person who came out of nowhere and fucking obliterated MEGALODONG The feeling of seeing every section of this song. Every infamous solo of this song. Every singular section that manages to tower like a monolith upon every GH player to this day. Every section that gods need to grind for. Every section that, seemingly, no one man was equipped to hit along with every other section. The melancholy of seeing every section be destroyed, one after another, right in front of your eyes. Knowing the years-long history of these sections being stone-cold, unbroken beasts that have never been taken down singlehandedly is being broken within minutes. It's goddamn powerful. This is the most emotional I've ever gotten over something GH-related. I don't think Soulless 4 top this, honestly.
Your dedication to this grind was the most noteworthy determination I’ve seen by someone touching this game. This FC continues the seemingly endless list of reasons I’ve always looked up to you as a player, you manage to keep cool and remember every single method you learned for almost 20 minutes on a song that has section after section thrown at you. Love coming back to this video and watching Frost's face when he releases from the final fast trill. Total, genuine attitude change: from narcotized concentration to almost cartoonish shock in nothing flat. It's like he didn't even realize he had just done it.

Linked to this from Karl’s video, and I’m really glad he shared it. As someone who has been involved in DDR and other various rhythm games for over 20 years, this is hands down the most impressive accomplishment I’ve ever seen across any platform in the genre.
I know that iamchris4life was someone really good at both DDR and Guitar Hero games, so there’s definitely some crossover between the various rhythm games. Etienne does good videos about various rhythm games.

Best fc ever. I'm so happy and proud of not only you for getting this, but the community for even being able to reach this point to where we have 2 people capable of megalodon. I remember when this song first got released FCing some of the sections on their own were considered top tier accomplishments and even arch trial b at one point was the best section fc of all time. The fact that we've been able to reach this point to where an FC is even possible is nothing short of amazing, this accomplishment is beyond on another level. I will always be amazed at the FC's that the top players are pushing out and I can't even imagine what is gonna beat this next!

As someone who was sent here from Karl Jobst, this is honestly one of the most breathtaking FC's I've seen ever. I used to watch these on an off from Acai but yeah the skill you guys hold is truly monumental. I also understand to a degree as a drummer myself for the past 12-13 years
You know its a good day when you FC Megalodon and you get a warm hug from a buddy who has probably most likely seen the pain and struggle getting this song over and done with good to have people supporting you especially if your in hard times great FC.
Man you don’t understand. This is my favorite CH song of all time. I’ve been grinding this songs hard chart on keyboard for over a year now. I never expected to get an FC obviously but just to improve percentage and score. I went from hitting 62% to 92% and went from scoring 700K to 1.8M. That’s how much I love this song. And after all the songs that I thought could never be FCed were finally beaten: Crisis, Supernovae, Prevail, Soulless 4, 5 and 6, Epidox, Madness March Kamikaze 2, the list goes on… this is the one song that I NEVER could’ve seen somebody fully FCing. It just didn’t seem possible. But god damn you proved me wrong dude. At this point I’ll never call a song unfcable again. Because you just did the impossible and killed the giant fucking shark. That ending trill honestly doesn't look that bad in a vacuum, but with the context of it being the ending of a 19 minute long hell it's probably one of the most chokeable sections I've ever seen. So I'm someone whom my friends who have no idea about the pro CH scene would consider a "really good guitar hero player." I just played this song for the first time and managed to escape the 🦈 with 73% notes hit and 1.4 measly million points. Just completely dumbfounded as to how someone could: 1. Figure out methods for some sections 2. Hit those sections 3. Do it ALL in a freaking run I managed to sightread FC from decomposition up to the OY trills in Crying and it was literally craziest thing I've ever done in GH/CH (mostly that soulless strumming+ open note section) This is an accomplishment that will always be ahead of its time.

I had stopped following the CH scene for a while when you did this, so it wasn't for a couple weeks after that a friend said "Hey I know you play guitar hero, this seems like a pretty crazy accomplishment" and sent me this FC. I freaked out that funy shark song had finally been FC'd, and realizing just how out of the loop I had been, decided to fully get back into following this whole scene. It never ceases to amaze me how high the skill ceiling has gotten, and how high it continues to rise. Good shit, man. Incredible accomplishment
Okay, this makes me legitimately emotional. Like, not even Tobe or Megapeng would upload anything other than Arch Trial A-B. Every great GH player would maybe get one or two of the easier solos, such as Acai getting Colrics Trial. And, ever since I downloaded this song, I've played each section as if I was just starting to climb Mount Everest. I'd get one of the hard parts, like, once, maybe at a slower speed, like part of Glitch, and I'd think I was on the verge of greatness. I'd imagine myself like I FC'd Sonic Stomp Outro B (I actually did that; on my channel). That's how fucking legendary of a song this is to hit. Not even the best of the best would upload more than three videos of section FCs of this song.
Just... thinking about this FC happening in the future, it seems so distant. I thought even a tech FC was a bit of a reach. You'd think some god would have to step in 5 years from now, after Soulless 4 becomes Slow Ride and people have literally ascended. You'd think we'd basically have to be at 20XX before this gets FC'd. You'd imagine it being either a Megapeng video or a Frosted video.
It wasn't even Frosted! It was not Megapeng! It was not one of these GH legends that has come to be a household name. Nay, FrifRaff, the possibly eight-year-old GH player with 33k subscribers... He was the god. He was the person who came out of nowhere and fucking obliterated MEGALODONG
The feeling of seeing every section of this song. Every infamous solo of this song. Every singular section that manages to tower like a monolith upon every GH player to this day. Every section that gods need to grind for. Every section that, seemingly, no one man was equipped to hit along with every other section. The melancholy of seeing every section be destroyed, one after another, right in front of your eyes. Knowing the years-long history of these sections being stone-cold, unbroken beasts that have never been taken down singlehandedly is being broken within minutes. It's goddamn powerful. This is the most emotional I've ever gotten over something GH-related. I don't think Soulless 4 top this, honestly.

Best fc ever. I'm so happy and proud of not only you for getting this, but the community for even being able to reach this point to where we have 2 people capable of megalodon. I remember when this song first got released FCing some of the sections on their own were considered top tier accomplishments and even arch trial b at one point was the best section fc of all time. The fact that we've been able to reach this point to where an FC is even possible is nothing short of amazing, this accomplishment is beyond on another level. I will always be amazed at the FC's that the top players are pushing out and I can't even imagine what is gonna beat this next!
As someone who was sent here from Karl Jobst, this is honestly one of the most breathtaking FC's I've seen ever. I used to watch these on an off from Acai but yeah the skill you guys hold is truly monumental. I also understand to a degree as a drummer myself for the past 12-13 years

Man you don’t understand. This is my favorite CH song of all time. I’ve been grinding this songs hard chart on keyboard for over a year now. I never expected to get an FC obviously but just to improve percentage and score. I went from hitting 62% to 92% and went from scoring 700K to 1.8M. That’s how much I love this song. And after all the songs that I thought could never be FCed were finally beaten: Crisis, Supernovae, Prevail, Soulless 4, 5 and 6, Epidox, Madness March Kamikaze 2, the list goes on… this is the one song that I NEVER could’ve seen somebody fully FCing. It just didn’t seem possible.
But god damn you proved me wrong dude. At this point I’ll never call a song unfcable again. Because you just did the impossible and killed the giant fucking shark.

First time seeing the full chart. That ending trill honestly doesn't look that bad in a vacuum, but with the context of it being the ending of a 19 minute long hell it's probably one of the most chokeable sections I've ever seen.

So I'm someone whom my friends who have no idea about the pro CH scene would consider a "really good guitar hero player." I just played this song for the first time and managed to escape the 🦈 with 73% notes hit and 1.4 measly million points. Just completely dumbfounded as to how someone could:
1. Figure out methods for some sections
2. Hit those sections
3. Do it ALL in a freaking run
I managed to sightread FC from decomposition up to the OY trills in Crying and it was literally craziest thing I've ever done in GH/CH (mostly that soulless strumming+ open note section)
This is an accomplishment that will always be ahead of its time.
I just watched this in its entirety after being up all night long and I was so moved, impressed, and proud of you that I actually turned my ad blocker off and refreshed the page to let it play again. You deserve all the things, Frif.

I had stopped following the CH scene for a while when you did this, so it wasn't for a couple weeks after that a friend said "Hey I know you play guitar hero, this seems like a pretty crazy accomplishment" and sent me this FC. I freaked out that funy shark song had finally been FC'd, and realizing just how out of the loop I had been, decided to fully get back into following this whole scene.
