Forbidden Plateau Full Run

- Forbidden Plateau is an unsanctioned trail network which is only about 30 minutes from Cumberland, to the top of the shuttle drop off by car. The trails there are some of the most fun trails I have ridden. Some have wooden features, ladder bridges, skinnies and drops while others have slabs, awesome fast tech and amazing views of Comox lake. Even though recent logging has effected some of the trails, many are still rideable and worth checking out. In this video we rode: 2 sheiks & a dog, Monkeys Revenge, Dj connector and Slither. There is one more trail to the bottom after the video ends called Transmission but I didn't film due to my injury.

The start of your ride is now the top of our climbing trail. I used to ride it down hill 20 plus years ago!
Thanks for posting this. Used to ride that back in 2003 and it’s surprisingly the same but much improved t the same time.
Glad you enjoyed! I love riding areas with lots of history so that’s great to hear. Found some pretty cool relics there from back in the day
How was the wrist afterwards?
Local here. Riding through that lovely but fragile moss and other vegetation when there are established (and nice/challenging) lines is not best practice. Please don't do it. Other than that, good on ya! We rode that area in the late 80's/early 90's, building trails down from branch 21 to connect with trails we built along the Puntledge River like Bear's Bait.
Cheers,

Well, one trail down to connect; another we didn't finish.
@@telemantid I appreciate the comment. I definitely used to do some dumb stuff a few years ago but I don’t think I’ve done anything like that recently. Thanks for watching. Must have been so sick to ride there back then. Love looking at all the old features. Hope to be back there soon. Any idea how the trails are holding up with the logging?
@@BCmtbMountain biking was a different animal then. No idea on logging plans.
anybody else got that George of the jungle refrain going through their heads? "watch out for that tree! WATCH OUT FOR THAT TREE!"
Nice dude!
