The orange cream is Kaya, a local spread that is made of coconut milk, egg, sugar. It tastes heavenly if you put it on bread and mix with butter (not margarine) on another piece of bread. It tastes good with margarine too. Usually a popular/traditional breakfast is brrad toast spread with kaya plus butter at kopitiam (local chinese coffeeshops).
The blue rice dish is Nasi Kerabu, a local delicacy from the east coast of peninsular (states of Kelantan and Terengganu).

I am sure this night market is in Temonyong on Thursday evening. I used to go there if I did not go home. My favourite would be fried beehoon from a young lady. She's only sell her items there and not other night market in Langkawi. Really miss the moments when I was there. I have been there from 2002 until 2009.

So many interesting foods there. What’s the weirdest thing you’ve eaten? Scott’s was probably stinky tofu. Ginger doesn’t do weird food. 😂

Great question. We've had grasshoppers in Mexico, other than that, we've kept it pretty normal.

Don't worry guys. There is at least a night market in any town in Malaysia. Ask the locals of their whereabouts.

We've heard that. We will be asking around for our next visit.

Murtabak is very filling. I suggest both of you order 1 to share first, then you can order other items to eat.

From what we've been told, it moves from place to place on different days. Something we will have to try to figure out for ourselves in a different visit.

I don't think Malaysia is unsafe . As any tourists traveling abroad to any country should take certain precautions .
To be safe , there are certain fundamental tourist rules that tourist should keep in mind going any where arounda the world . These apply to Malaysia as well.
For first time visitors , it is recommended to use tourist agencies. It is most expensive way but the safest approach. Don't pick unknown , cheaper ones .
Tourist maps are still very handy and useful to keep and you can get the latest ones at the airport. Familiarice yourself with Malaysia .
Make sure your hotel is near a railway station . Once you know your way , it's cheapest and safe travel .
Avoid traveling alone in lonely streets .
Book taxi from your hotel . it is safe . Use Waze , Google map on your mobile while using taxi .
Do not expose yourself as a wealthy tourist.
Finaly , if you have a local friend , nothing like .
    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
