The pencil rubbing technique is called "frottage" in traditional media, when it is done with charcoal or pastels over a thin paper layered on top of some "bumpy" surface like a coin or a leaf. But this offers much more.

Have you seen any videos on how to create your own structures or did you just experiment with it?

It would be helpful if you started with showing how you put the initial structure on your canvas - before you start adding the watercolour. And showing how to import a structure.

You can have it in your life if you use a superior computing device instead of a sandboxed Apple toy.

I don't know what it is about this program but I get giddy every time I open it with something new to try. Most of the time I'm not even creating anything specific, I'm just playing around with it to see what happens when I try X or Y or hell, even Z.

You can upload any image to Structures library and use it as a structure.

Ok found your video .. I think I see what was hard for me
There's no way to really see low alpha version of the structure on my computer (i'm using an imac 2012 so understand what I'm working with)
it's possible my computer is just not rendering like on yours
but it does one .. just didn't realize that on mine I couldn't see the low alpha image after I "clicked away" ..
    smh lol

How do we make our own structures?

    • @EscapeMotions
      @EscapeMotions  7 місяців тому +4

Create a structure from an image file and import it via Structures Library. After selecting the file,
the structure is automatically created and added to the Structures panel.

Will there be a demo on how to create your own structures like Justice has in his library?

    • @EscapeMotions

Structures are just image files. You can import any image file to Structures library and it will act like a structure in Rebelle.

There are a few structures you can choose from in the Structures Library. Or you can import your own image files that will serve as structures.

In this channel there are no answers from "Escape Motions" to the several questions and wonderings about the structures and how to create them . I think this channel is jkust a platform to SHOW without getting deeper. Maybe we will find it out by trial and error.
