If anyone has any questions like "what's the music at X:XX?" or such, ask here and i'll do my best to reply.
Can I get the remix name at 38:49 please?
@@DAonYT of course!
you can find it on youtube by searching "Star Fox Assault Soundtrack - Intro"
its just the intro version of the main theme, you'll know you have the right one if it is exactly 1 minute long, and has the funky synth beats within the first 4 seconds.
Gotta find the Star Fox 64 staff roll remix, thanks!
@@SmashBrosOdyssey64 Look up "Star Fox 64: Staff Credits Orchestral Arrangement" by the Noble Demon. they have a TON of unbelievably beautiful remixes for a shit ton of games. HIGHLY recommend.
“Post-lawnmower Boomer” is the funniest goddamn shit
I love how it only took the Great Fox a few seconds to blow up the Aparoid city after it took Fox and the gang almost half an hour to take out the shield generators.
Hey man, you don't see the power bill or the company fiscal projections to cover it; if you don't have to worry about going over your budget because it's the end of days you can accomplish anything
"Feels like it starts at the climax of a Star Fox game that never happened" You know what, I'd like to see that game. It could be kinda interesting to have the final level kinda merge into the first level of Assault. Or maybe some off hand comments after destroying a base or something as the final mission but that the Cornerian military has tracked him Andrew Oikony and his fleet down to Fichina or what ever at the end.
agreed.
in fact for all the times Nintendo has remake'd 64, i would be interested in an Assault Remake. just have a prolog arc for the tutorial that is Andrew's rebellion.
What about a Adventures remake? I still think that game has the potential to be re-build into a more proper Star Fox game. Y'know, with actually fun and challenging Arwing stages, ground combat, more vehicles to use than just the Arwing and third-person shooter combat rather than just the staff.
StarFox Assault was first and favorite Star Fox game and I very much agree with your take. Assault deserves more respect and I'm happy seeing it getting more of it in recent years.
Ya, it really gets more hate than it deserves. I honestly have to admit I didn't like it back in the day, but now it's one of my favourite games of all time. If for nothing else than the music. The game just gives a bad first impression in terms of control scheme for the on foot gameplay, but you can change it in the options.
@@TheJadeFist I recommend Rocket Knight Adventures: Re-sparked!, and Bot Vice there like Star Fox Assault in 2d.
Assault had one hell of a sound track that can't be argued against. Especially Sauria and the Star Wolf themes.
Really happy to see people giving Assault the love it deserves. Someday we'll surely get some follow up...
one can hope, brother. one can hope.
Check out the Star Fox Assault video by Lute as well!
I like the comedic timing of your jokes, they made me laugh. Thanks!
Gonna continue sniffing that hopium and consider this random UA-cam recommendation as a sign that the rumored Assault remake is gonna happen.
You and me both.
It's weird, due to F Zero 99 we're actually more likely to see THAT series revived, as opposed to the series Miyamoto fucked up twice, with the last time they did it being a critical bomb and a financial loss
I like this guy, he's going to be the next big UA-camr
damn bro, thanks!
heres hoping, if i can get the next vid out in the next less-then-a-year.
Absolutely loved the 64 trilogy. I’m one of those weirdos that thought Adventures was the best. As a kid, I remember being blown away after Assault’s ending and being so excited for the next game and how this storyline could continue. If only I knew 😂😢
Bro same.
at its peak i don't think any of us could have guessed where the franchise was going.
16:15 You can say Andrew is useless but you can't deny the fact he held on to the fight long after the fall of Venom. Sure he got randomly blasted by space bugs, but it's his fault the Corneran military was so woefully unprepared to defend against the Aparoids by exhausting so much of their resources to fight him. Which... is a good thing for a bad guy? /still bad for everyone.
thats a fair point, however i will give my own overly researched lore-nerd counter point.
from what we can gather from the opening, this is the first battle between Andrew's Venom remnant that has broken out; implied by the fleet commander in the opening's dialog, and pepper's briefing for the first mission.
Andrew was able to do a lot with his fleet, and weaken cornaria considerably, but he didn't put the armada on the backfoot like his uncle did. he didn't push cornaria back at all (also weird that the fighting was at fortuna and not venom.)
Andrew "useless?"...ok fair point he has *SOME* tactical/logistical knowledge to hold out in thr one fight we seen, and still get the upperhand when outnumbered.
still the worst pilot in the franchise, and i stand by that.
@@lordscorch3167 Fair enough, I guess it's useless like Slippy in the cockpit but actually useful otherwise like Slippy is for technical and mechanical abilities, and apparently with a rifle in hand as he jumps 10 feet in the air mercing chumps left and right yelling "NO MERCY" in that derpy ass voice of his. Cracks me up everytime. Even though I mostly play the japanese version, I still mentally insert that voice line. (on the space station level with Star Wolf outside, when you run past Slippy you can catch him in a fire fight as he jumps stupid high and yelling No Mercy!!)
I might have to throw the game in later tonight, you've made me want to play it again.
@@TheJadeFist ^^^ the fact that Slippy has canonically shot folks the fuck out in a gunfight no sweat is insane deeplore.
@@lordscorch3167A late point: the time between Starfox 64 and Assault is give or take 9 years. Fox was 18 in 64 and 26 in Adventures according to manuals, and Krystal joining the team means there's probably another year at the most conservative estimation. Corneria spent those years hunting down the remnants of Androsses forces and bioweapons, so it's difficult to guess how many were in contact with Oinkonny and how many were rogue.
t. read the comics and manuals a lot as a kid.
@@gamerraider889 oh hell yeah boi! i can't believe i didn't think of getting the manual pfds for fun lore digs, thats a missed opportunity on my part.
Honestly, Assault has always been my favorite Star Fox game. It has the best story, music, design, and multiplayer in the entire series. It’s not perfect but man, I had loads of fun playing it. Thank you very much for reflecting all that in this video!
thank you for the kind words man! glad you enjoyed!

Stumbled across this vid during my current hyperfixation with Star Fox that I get every now and then. Gotta say you did good work here. I also like your sense of humor and I hope to see more. Full length break-down of the homoerotic themes in the Star Fox series and how it relates to gateways into being a furry when?

@@lordscorch3167 The reason for Zero's motion controls was for the game's co-op mode, where one players the Wii U pro controller and the other uses the game pad.
I recommend Rocket Knight Adventures: Re-sparked!, and Bot Vice there like Star Fox Assault in 2d.
I had the promotional VHS for Starfox 64 (Sega and Sony henchmen kidnap a Nintendo Test Pilot and R&D scientist; threatening a Mario doll with a vice and a car battery to get them to talk about the game and the new Rumble Pak) as well as the official player’s guide for a good number of years before I actually got to own a copy of the game. Happiest Christmas ever, lol.
i know what premotion your talking about.
damn i should have used clips of it for the video, absolute meme gold vain.
one of my favorite little end credits details for 64 is that slippy slowly falls behind during the running segment
If I had a nickel for every video that came out this year and past my radar that praised and defended Assault I’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot but I’m pleasantly surprised I have two

next project will be a bit shorter, but with the same format. hint at the very end for those with sharp ears.
So glad to see more love for Star Fox Assault
This is a really great video. I’m no content creator, obviously there are some growing pains here. You had the confidence to finish this video, and it’s a really great product. Thank you for this. Was a nice blast to the past
Great video, probably one of the best retrospectives on the franchise that I have watched. My only thing that I thought was missing was you should of probably expanded a little bit more on Dinosaur Planet N64 variant of Adventures. Only because it was literally Miyamoto that essentially derailed what would of been a great original Rare title and ended up injecting Star Fox into it. Which I mean don't get me wrong, I loved adventures as a kid. Though the history behind the development of that particular title is pretty interesting and is quite telling that was the last title they ended up developing for Nintendo before Microsoft's acquisition. Though, I digress. Great job and normally channels that just start out never have a banger first video like this, so the time commitment paid off tremendously.
Thank you man, i'm glad you enjoyed!
in the first draft of the script i had about 10-15 extra minutes of going into detail about dinosaur planet and the development getting completely changed just by Miyamoto walking in and going "FOX CHARATURE LOOK LIKE MY FOX", but in future drafts i ended up cutting it.
frankly the entire subject and the original game itself could be its own hour long video, that rabbithole goes *deep.*
Excellent Hitomi Tanaka reference! Lol accurate af!
A modern SF game with 64's routes (but maybe the number of missions zero has still), zero''s approach to how the landmaster performs and the arwing getting the walker powerup at some point via a point i'll make below, Assault's approach to storytelling and cinematics as well as modernizing its multiplayer to the level modern hardware would allow for (ALSO see below for bigger point) could me the marquee product financially that Nintendo would want it to be.
Having the gimmick of being able to fully customise your arwing to different potential outcomes depending on the route you take, a-la a roguelike, would provide a verrrrrry meaty framework for my second gimmick. As an aside too, having the walker be a first level upgrade, and potentially it then evolving into the way General Pepper's ship becomes a full mecha OR having it become more animalistic like the wolden in ZERO on an upgrade tree, is the level of complexities they could aspire to in order to have a satisfying experience. Command begrudgingly has great designs for their ships and fun concepts this would echo too, like your upgrades impacting the types of blasters your arwing is capable of, its handling, deciding if you want to alot more engine strength to the shields or the engines between missions like its f-zero, all the modifiers of the core Starfox gameplay toolbox being tweakable for the player would keep its arcadey gameplay, but raise the skill ceiling to something that can catch a competitive scene, and you can make money off this game just from sponsored e-sports events marketing this game for nintendo months after its release.
Having it be nintendo's flagship multiiplayer action game! I am imagining if you made something well optimized for the switch 2 that allowed for say, 32 player lobbies of team deathmatches featuring vehicles and a refined on ground combat system which builds off of Assault's weapon roster, you would immediately be cooking. Hell, put it on the Splatoon 3 engine if you really wanna build off of it as multiplayer first, because I think that foundation of gameplay first would still hugely apply.
The x factor though I think personally, would be a squad based 4v4 mode that takes heavy inspiration from the classic Star Wars battle front mode: Galactic Conquest. Having your teams battle back and forth for control of the lylat system and having the winning team every match get an upgrade from the various options available during the campaign itself with each victory, could be a very fun game mode I feel to help give this some more legs to stand on (pardon the unintentional walker pun!)
I think basically, if Command never happened and we went from Assualt to Zero, a theoretical variant of Command that came out on the switch with all my aforementioned traits it would have a large potential upside for big N!
Ultimately it's a pipe dream, but not impossible to imagine Star Fox coming back this way. Underselling big name nintendo IP's have been thriving on the switch and Assault at minimum should get this treatment too, because I wanna see Assault look and play as good as possible!
Solid idea, a Star Fox X Battlefront would make the 10 year old in me sing.
also love your idea of the Ar-Walker getting an evolution to the point of getting a Pepper mech, because honestly i fucking love mechs, and Pepper's Flagship's design goes hard.
first thing i can imagine is making Pepper's mech with (i think it was Leon's blaster?) the shotgun Wolfen blaster from Command. and now we got Armored Core in Star Fox.
I'm with you in that I hope and dream for a Star Fox comeback. who knows? maybe next gen we will get a grand return with some heart put in it.
12:52 RIP her career.
Thank you for your cervix, Tanaka San 🫡
me must never allow Tanaka's media to be lost. 😤👌

Randomly showed up in my recommended and hope this gets more views.
Loved this video, your presentation is fantastic. I was surprised you didn’t have more videos like these.
Looking forward to maybe seeing a part 2 to this covering the later games. If you set up a Patreon I’d be happy to support more similar content 👍
Okay i chuckled at the gateway furry thing.
Thank you for this fantastic video. I really would like to see the sequel covering Zero and Command. I think there were some great ideas and choices in there - Fortuna in Zero, for example, delivered on everything we know and love, like tight rail shooting, Wolf encounter, and an atmospheric buildup to the boss. Seeing a general analysis without only trashing the games would be most welcome. On a sidenote: I didn't mind that it was 1h40m long :)
Looking forward to the next one!
thanks brother. i'm glad you enjoyed!
Zero/Command video will be way down the road but i have ideas for it. its funny you mention the fortuna mission because it is one of the standout missions for zero for me.
as for command...i have...um...TWO positive things i can say about it...maybe more after i replay it after all these years.
Miyamoto runout of ideas for the series and wants to move on.
I left one of the previous price stickers on my copy of Star Fox Assault because the sticker shortens the name to STAR FOX ASS and between Command and Krystal I think that's a fitting summary of the series after 64
Brutal and based
Nice video😙
It really neat to hear you talk about starfox . I do hope you can talk about more about it and if interesting , try talked about other game franchise you have fond time with it .
Love the video, Actuallt LOVE Assult my fave Star Fox game And Love Krystal.
Nice vid and nice to know other ppl notice how much of a AMAZIN game this is and should had been the basses to make Star fox games.
I recommend Rocket Knight Adventures: Re-sparked!, and Bot Vice there like Star Fox Assault in 2d.
I loved SF:A... The versus mode specifically was a big influence on my taste in multiplayer gaming. Some of the maps were so big that you basically had to use the vehicles to get around, but some of the ground weapons were so powerful that they could take out an arwing quite quickly. It became a cat and mouse. And they had different game types, my favorite of which was the sniper showdown... guess which one was my friend's least favorite? Maybe someday my space opera game will be more than a scuffed and disjointed proof of concept.
couldn't have put it better.
we can only hope for the future of Star Fox, if there is any real one at all.
Not gonna lie, Krystal's accent is 👌
my only real requirements for any new Star Fox game is:
1: Krystal needs a British accent.
2: Falco needs a Brooklyn accent.
3: Peppy needs a Texan (or some variation of southern) accent.
the characters just don't hit right otherwise.
As someone who loved Star Fox 64 even to this day, I was totally looking forward to more Star Fox games, when Adventures came out, I was skeptical at first, but when I actually played it, I loved it, and when Assault came out, I waisted no time, I bought it right away and played the hell out of it and unlocked everything in the game, and I still have my original copies of those games
i have my copy of assault in one of those gamecube disc holders with a bunch of the other classics like melee and some of the peak mario parties.
i need to find where the old case is.
@lordscorch3167 it was always in my head cannon fan theory that the Aparoids were a bio weapon created by Andross but became Frankenstein's monster and rebelled against their creator and started their own conquest
Easily one of the best videos I've ever seen in this platform, my dude you have a future, also, what do you think of Sin and Punishment? Both sequels are criminally underrated and would make a killer video, also Kid Icarus Uprising, as much as everyone sings its praises, no one cares to talk about its story
Great video and fantastic humor. Very underrated channel, hoping for more content like this for different games!
thank you my man!
I greatly enjoyed your rambling about space furries.
IT'S TIME FOR US TO GO NOW.
It's worth mentioning Solar is actually a molten planet and Andross created Vulcain because Cornerian academies claimed there couldn't be life in Solar so he created him out of spite.
Oh, and Andross indirectly created Sector Y
oh thats metal as FUCK.
its a shame how much old background stuff for andross actually just makes him seem like a badass with huge aura but they keep just writing him as a stock mad scientist.
when i someday do my command video, gonna give you a shout out because this little fact is too funny to pass now that i know it.
@@lordscorch3167 Thanks! Oh, and about Sector Y, it's because he created another Bolse near Corneria which...given how it's powered by bio-nuclear technology, exploded.
Also you gotta give him credit, he literally knew Bolse was the easiest target to destroy in Venom's orbit so he created a whole fake pathway on the other side of the planet with a fake ancient temple (and golem inspired by Venom's ancient culture) on top of a fake lair with a fake version of himself, he literally thought no one would have the audacity to go through Area 6 which is conveniently located onto his palace so he bothered to do all of that, he's one of the most intelligent videogame villains EVER
@@Whitesnake273 see, if there is another remake of Star Fox, THAT is the Andross i want to see.
a super villain that creates contingencies on top of backup plans mostly out of boredom or just to run brain circles around people.
that shits hilarious.
Star Fox 64 soundtrack had no reason to be this good back in the day. Almost makes me want to try Ace Combat.
Ace Combat is incredible. its basically "what if military flight sim but Metal Gear Solid melodrama?" and its so good.
Project Wingman too.
They're amazing. My love for Star Fox 64 as a kid eventually led me to try and fall on love with Ace Combat when I got a PS2 growing up. Since I was looking for a game with similar gameplay.
I believe the fact that General Scales refers to himself as both "tyrant and dictator" is a reference to T-Rex, Since the full name is Tyranosaurus Rex - Tyran meaning Tyrant, and Rex meaning king, so it could be an extremely clever reference for nerds lol
Hitomi mentioned. Someone is also a man of culture i see.
47:03
Oh. My. God.
Star Fox Assault only needed alternate pathways like SF64 did, and then it would've been the best SF game. Aside from that, Assault was an amazing evolution of SF64 in every way. With that said, although SF Assault had an engaging story line and as much as I like Peppy Hare...
He should've died at the end of the game.
By having him survive the explosion, it comes off like namco wussed out to avoid pissing off Star Fox fans. It felt like a Saturday morning cartoon ending. They didn't want to go all the way with this more serious entry in the SF series, I guess, but it hurt the game's story.
For starters, that was a huge explosion. He's in the middle of space, where it's impossible to breathe. The Great Fox, the flagship that he'd normally evacuate into in an emergency, was reduced to a fireball of death and destruction. In such a scenario, Peppy would have no way to escape alive. So, how did he survive that? How did a helper spaceship arrive just in time to save him?
Star Fox Assault was marketed as a darker and more cinematic and dramatic entry in the Star Fox series. The Aparoids are sold as deadly cybernetic insect parasites. We saw them turn Pigma into a giant puppet made of flesh and metal. After he blew up, he should've been dead after that. We see the same thing happen to the Sauria dinosaurs and Pepper, all of whom almost died as a result. These Aparoids are demons that are hellbent on sucking the life out of every living creature in the Lylat System. To emphasize how determined Peppy is to stop this destructive force of nature, the story should've shown Peppy crash the Great Fox into the planet's barrier to help the Star Fox gang invade the Aparoids' home world. But, as a consequence of this sacrifice, Peppy is dead and gone. The Great Fox is destroyed. Peppy gave his life so that millions of other people could live. That would've been a big character moment.
Plus, this ending would've made Fox more sympathetic by making him more vulnerable. It would've made the final boss fight more momentous, as Fox's revenge against the Aparoids. Of course, after destroying the Aparoids, he'd realize that the Aparoids' destruction wouldn't bring Peppy back. The ending would've been a moment of sad irony. He flies powerful spaceships and mows down entire enemy fleets. He won a war against a mad scientist who had been causing all sorts of mayhem for 5 long years. He's saved the Lylat System and hundreds of planets many times. Like Pepper said, Fox is the only hope for the Lylat System when they're facing a massive threat. Yet, Fox keeps failing to protect the ones closest to him. He lost his dad. He lost his mom. Now, he's lost his mentor. That's heart-wrenching.
But, what role could Peppy have played in the next game, had he been killed off in the last game? He could've been a ghost who gives Fox mentorship from beyond the grave, much like his dad James does or Obi-Wan Kenobi does for Luke Skywalker. In Star Fox Command, it would've made his decision to remove Krystal from the team somewhat more understandable as well. They could've established that he was terrified of the risk of losing another person who was important in his life.
you hit the nail on the head, and i agree.
it seems like Command was going off of the "true" ending of Assault but ignoring everything that happened.
always hated that Peppy became the new general of cornaria, they should have had Bill be Pepper's successor being a young but inexperienced commander. you can even bring in Shears from the SNES trying to undermind Bill and making him a more impactful twist villain.
@@lordscorch3167Yeah, I would've been fine with Bill becoming Pepper's replacement after Pepper fell sick from old age. In fact, there're a lot of interesting character developments that were introduced with SF Assault that were never mentioned again in this series. For example, it's fascinating how Wolf shows so much more respect toward Fox, his archrival, than Pigma, a former colleague of his. This game makes it clear that Wolf trusts Fox a lot more than he does Pigma.
But, what happened? Before Assault, what made him see that Pigma was a toxic "friend"? What event caused this change in Wolf from "typical bad guy" to a seriously flawed individual who still has a difficult personality but actually has some moral standards who no longer wants toxic people in his life? Was he recovering from this incident, hence why he didn't appear in SF Adventures? Heck, Wolf was minding his own business until Fox invaded his base on the assumption that Wolf was still Pigma's buddy. He doesn't really feel like a bad guy in this game at all.
For example, did Pigma nearly stab Wolf in the back to make a quick buck the same way he did to James? After that experience, did he realize that, unlike Pigma, Fox never stabs his friends in the back for a quick buck, hence why he starts to respect Fox for his loyalty to his friends? Why is this never talked about in Star Fox Command? Even more so, why the hell did they reboot the series instead of continuing with the story developments that were brought up in Star Fox Assault? A scene in Command or another future SF game that showed Pigma nearly getting Wolf killed would've shown how irredeemable Pigma was and, therefore, would've made his death in SF Assault a dramatic cautionary tale about how an endless pursuit of riches can cause your downfall.
Just with a few minutes thought, right here are a number of plots that could be used in a multitude of new Star Fox games. Star Fox has a lot of potential, especially in the story-telling department. It could've turned into Nintendo's Star Wars, and it's too bad that the folks at Nintendo can't see that.
@@TheDr502 the whole reason i made the video. Assault was a gift to continue the franchise in a new era.
on your great points on Star Wolf; it also seems that Wolf is trying to stop the Aparoid plot in his own way.
when you find the crashed-out Wolfens, that implies that Wolf was hunting down Pigma own their own. but why?
well, then Star Wolf shows up in Cornaria to help Star Fox. this heavily implies Star Wolf was trying to stop the Invasion on their own but when things got out of hand they came out of the shadows and started helping Cornaria/Fox openly. hell, the fact that they seem to want to help the System **for FREE** is huge character development.
by the time of Command? Naw Wolf just wants to embarrass Fox, beating him by shaming and disgracing him rather than by the merit of their skills. Panther cucks Fox and takes Krystal. est est.
its such a damn shame.
@@TheDr502 I recommend Rocket Knight Adventures: Re-sparked!, and Bot Vice there like Star Fox Assault in 2d.
To be fair.. The entirety of star wolf survive getting blown up 3 separate times. And even still came back in assault. It could have been seen as more of a surprise that peppy lived. Besides. Im pretty sure (correct me if im wrong.) That the apparoid queen uses the voices of peppy, pigma, etc as a form of mental assault.
Plus. Im pretty sure that if falco, etc gets defeated during the fight, they also get used as voices. It's purely for shock value.
I loved the video, helped me get a different perspective on Assault and Adventures which when I was a kid didn't understand much. Can you make a video of Star Fox appearing in StarLink Battle for Atlas? I think Ubisoft did a solid job there, even the DLC for Wolf was great.

7:02 That's only mentioned in the old Nintendo Power comics made only to promote the original SNES game, but the thing is that it's non-canon to the later games. According to an old interview on Reddit, Fox's mom is very much still alive in the 64 continuity and is actually supporting her son from behind the scenes. The thing is that well, we never actually get to see her, considering she's the only relative Fox has left.
Also, nice fanart, btw. Is there a link to that?
You shouldn't worry about Nintendo cancelling your UA-cam channel over playing small segments of their music in your video, 'cause my whole UA-cam channel is dedicated to reposting music (It's the easiest way to grow my UA-cam channel), & I haven't been striked once.
yeah i was surprised that i didn't even get a minor claim or anything. at the time that i started the video Nintendo started their "seasonal hunt" of doing random take-downs, so i was a little paranoid.

Okay so this vid convinced me to FINALLY look into buying Assualt. So I went and did a google search of the game and apparently Eurogamer randomly dropped an article about the game…in 2024. How random is that?😂
Update: it sucks 😂😂 sold it like 2 days after buying it
Sound balance.
true, my greatest weakness.
The only wrong take in this entire video is that Skyward Sword has the most breedable Zelda.
In seriousness though I enjoyed this video a lot. It was good to hear things other than just “64 is god, everything else sucks”
I will die on the Zelda hill but respect your detraction
@@lordscorch3167 Fair enough. Respect 🖤
Here before this blows up button right here
heres hoping.
“I’m not a furry” x to doubt.
So there's a tie in manga to Star Fox Adventures that was packaged with the Japanese version of the game called "Farewell Beloved Falco" that explains events that happened between 64 and Adventures; most notably that the Andross in Adventures is a clone. His reveal in the game is still dumb though.
Think you might cover Starlink at some point?
unlikely to play, but will likely research for future star fox vids.
its got some pretty interesting stuff, subject wise.
I feel everyone was a lowkey furry. Just some went through with it. I used to think Fox was hot
based.

World is a bette r place
54:25 Was that the fucking BOB death sound from Marathon lol?
31:30 Ngl this is one of my favorite scenes in the entire game. The way Peppy just pops in always sends me laughing.
Good ear!
Video was meh. Thumbnail is great, tho. Have a sub.
Wait are we not gona talk about starlink version of star fox or that don't count
never played the Starlink games, so i didn't really know where to start with that.
it is an interesting note in Star Fox's 3rd party chapter, i will admit.
As a Jew, when you said Skyward Sword Zelda had an "adorable Jew schnoz" I fucking snorted omg Jewish Zelda confirmed, you are hilarious and this video is a joy 😂❤
Hold up
Ya just said Metroid hasnt had any substantial releases in several years?
Dread and Prime Remastered want pistols at dawn my dude
ok fair. i dont mean to downplay the releases of either of those games, because they are both good (dread on its own merits and the remasters being already great games.)
but i suppose i actually should have said "new console title" rather then just "substantial" in a vacuum.
@@lordscorch3167Dread counts for both qualifiers, surely.
Please make more vids like this
life stuff has come up + my on-brand procrastination, but there will be more.
@@lordscorch3167 I watched several star fox retrospectives in the last week and this was my favorite. Your humor made it great
@@raydur159 thank you man. its honestly crazy to see that its my first real video and its still getting an average of 1000 views a month.
Star Fox 64 trilogy? No offense, but I find that to be incredibly dumb. It's wrong to leave out the original game and Command, both of which are still very good.
Don't forget about Star Fox 2. Command is still awful as hell though.
@@jahmirwhite7807 Star Fox 2 was never officially released back in the day. It's only release has been on the SNES classic as a bonus. I don't count it in most cases.
Command is not a bad game. I don't understand why people would think that. Star Fox Zero is the awful one.
@zombieorbit44 Maybe it's because Command has repetitive gameplay, 9 mediocre endings, a cringy art style for the game, and a new antagonist that nobody cares about aside from being one of Andross' failed experiments.
@@jahmirwhite7807 I think the art style is fine. The gameplay can be a bit repetitive, but it's not terrible. I liked three out of the nine endings. At least we were fighting a new enemy instead of rehashing Star Fox 64's plot again.
If you ask me, they should have chosen the ending withthe new Star Fox team lead by Fox's son Marcus, with Falco returning as the senior member, to be canon and went on from there.
@@zombieorbit44 The conflict with the Anglars still feels like another copy-paste of the Lylat Wars. Who knows which ending is canon, to be honest? My favorite endings have to be the one where Fox and Krystal finally got their act together and made up (Goodbye, Fox) and the one where everyone celebrated after defeating the Anglars (Lucy and Krystal). If only Nintendo had gotten their act together...
It's so sad seeing N64 kids being so excited about Star Fox while their PS1 neighbours were playing Colony Wars 3.
Anyone know what the music at 1:40:59 is?
Oblivion. the state of sound, not the Bethesda game.
Subbed
1:12:31 funny bit friend but i would snip this out so youtube doesnt nuke you
