Well, now I know why Holder's boulder wasn't supposed to be moved at all. Although I thought the giant dragon egg- which it really is, if you look at the shape of it- was completely fossilized over the centuries. That means any dragon embryo that might have been inside it, would already be long dead! Unless some surge of Equestrian magic revived it, or something.
Dam. That's just terrible. But she did her duty as a big sister. She protected Marble, even though she knew it was at the cost of her life. I just wish she hadn't been twisted, but calm, so her family would have to see her that way.

She did it because she was the only one who knew and put in the time to learn about the proper way to recapture the creature. She gave up her life, her dreams, her everything to save her family but she also saved countless lives as a ripple effect.
This Triggered me Alot... Marble was being Physically Abused at home even though it Wasn't her fault. Maud was There Trying to help marble protect and lessen through the times her father would get mad and take his Anger out on Marble. I get physically/verbally emotionally Abused at home and witness domestic violence/animal Abuse, This hits extremely close to home. Its not about maud risking her life or about the rick that actually was an egg with a monster...behind this plot it was About how serious and hard it is in a life of a person/child being Abused. Yes the scary plot makes well for a creepypasta story but i see it MORE than this.
I'm presuming that the one rule to stay away from Holder's Boulder, is there for this reason: because it's really a giant, fossilized dragon egg! It was even proven as a theory, in the series episode "Hearth Breakers", when Holder's Boulder is shown repeatedly.

I think the two things that hit me the hardest in the story were Maud immediately taking action to sacrifice herself to save Marble, and...envisioning Pinkie's face as she drew near at the end and saw Maud...
I expected a dramatic ending where she had poisoned herself by doing exactly what the shop teller’s instructions said not to do. I’m disappointed that she turned to stone. That seems less dramatic and pretty random to me.

Admittedly, I'll miss Maud. But Marble might probably be scarred for life. She lost her sister. Not to mention Pinkie Pie is gonna be in a flankload of depression. But why is everyone blaming Applejack?
