More than 20 years late, back in the pride FC era , Japanese brand was already making best MMA gloves (winning made pride FC gloves, that were the best MMA gloves until now rizin ff (same ceo as pride FC ) having ISAMI brand gloves (another Japanese brand) making their MMA and kickboxing and boxing gloves.
Currently rizin gloves are the best in the market in term of quality material and design (cause they try reproduce pride FC gloves). After japanese MMA it's Bellator and PFL that has best gloves.
UFC and one FC have the worst gloves in MMA industry and UFC being more expensive than one FC has the Worst ratio quality/price .

I just reminded that "technology" and "engineering" from early 2000's already produced perfect MMA gloves in pride FC , and right now isami reproduce pride FC gloves made by winning, without legal issues, it should be easy for any brand to reproduce similar pride.fc gloves without (engineering alien spacial technology) .

The only way to reduce/stop eye pokes is with severe monetary penalties plus suspensions.

It would be kinda cool to have a force meter to be able to say a KO punch landed with 544.8 pounds of force, or whatever just pulled a number out of my ass. But that would be kinda cool, real time force feedback from the gloves.

This is not a revolution in safety. That style of glove has been around but the name who owned the patent would not give it up to Dana. Since Dana didn't have the patent he probably made one that is similar. People kept getting poked in the eye and people kept talking about it. That's what made this happen. Also, the gloves became mandatory after the government stepped in and made it mandatory. I do not believe that Dana did this for safety he did it for $$$$.
Two things can be true at once, by adding safety, they have less pokes n breaks. Which allows more fights n fight time making more money.
But let all be honest, these arent much different at all from the original

Dear UFC, I am a Neuropsychologist and I am afraid I must inform you that it is very questionable to use differently colored gloves. The more vibrant the color, the more salient the glove, the quicker reaction times could be to said glove. Say one fighter has black gloves while the other has red ones, the fighter with black ones will have an advantage, as he will perceive the red gloves more easily and possibly react quicker to them, than his opponent would to black gloves. Remember when Adesaniya chose NOT to color his hair pink before the costa fight? exact same (very much so justified) reasoning.
I know there are different colors in boxing as well, but that does not make it a reasonable change.

Moot point as fighters will always be wearing the same gloves as there opponent, so it wont be an advantage. The gold gloves if anything will make a championship fight more e entertaining if your observation is correct about reaction times, but again both will have the same gloves on
@@iceKOId It's not really an opinion, nor is it dumb. It's science. Just because everybody does sometthing in a way, does not make it the right way. Besides, it is especially important to take this well documented processing advantage into consideration when designing gloves with the fewest ounces (i.e. the ones ones punches are the fastest with)
