Love your vblogs especially now that your on Fedex freight team. Im also on bottom of extra board and didnt have aby runs three days this week. Still Love it though!! Spent some good time with the family. Keep the vlogs coming, truly enjoy them! Keep safe!
I haven't been on your channel in over a year. I wanted to work at estes but couldn't pass background for Hazmat. Ended up working out cuz I got a local job home daily 3k a week hauling Ford parts. It's a drop and hook 520 miles a day. Technically $480 a day. They cancel every now and then and there is no retirement plan. But I like it. Glad you are liking fedex. I got my background cleared up now so if this doesn't work out I'll give then a try
I talked to fxf. They basically told me I’d be working dock for 5 years until I could be on a run. Estes offered me to be extra board but home daily. I just take the extra freight and turn every night
man loving running extra board here in Dallas leave out 7pm Sundays and I'm Thursday night. sometime early Thursday morning basically Wednesday night and home Thursday/ Friday/ Saturday and most of Sunday.. it is awesome 👌
Was waiting for a video. Yeah Freight is slower than normal, we never post slide list in the summer. As long as your financially ok enjoy the home time because once you start to move up your ass is gonna be running 😅😅😅😅
Well I’m not truck driving anymore. I’m at the state DOT as a highway maintenance worker. Not gonna lie I miss driving but this state schedule 0530-1430 M-F, weekends and holidays off are nice BUT no money to be made….got my feelers out looking but trying to ride this out and see what’s happens unless something better comes along!
Take it from me when we get slow they try and get rid of anyone they can! Just stay on your A game and don’t listen to what anyone says dock is easy money brotha!
@FreightHaulter87: Why are LTL drivers so scared to work the dock. In large part the majority of them feel it is beneath them to operate a forklift and throw straps on freight. My only guess is that they see dockworkers as lumpers. It is amazing how they will sit in a truck for 3 hours not making a penny when they could go inside the dock and run freight for a couple hours making $27 an hour.
I can answer both y’all’s questions. I’ve got 12 years in and what it bulls down to is the majority of LTL drivers that have dock option bids don’t think they should work the dock because they have a CDL. They are there to drive not work the dock which seems to be some folks mentality. Dockworkers should load/unload trailers not road drivers. I’ve heard it all. I actually finished a shuttle bid last week and loved it. There where some ups and downs but that’s part of work. I’m like this if I got a short run I’ll work the dock or operate the yard hostling unit.
shitty time to switch jobs and start over at the bottom, hopefully things get better in this country, for you and the rest of us. The cost of living is high and going up
Chris, I wish you would have stayed at Estes. I could never survive on 600 miles a week. I am still getting around 2,500 which is down about 400 miles from the first of year but much better than 600. You know what they say the grass isn't always greener on the other side of the fence. You also don't get to partake in the fascinating videos from Webb Estes. Come on back to Estes.
Have you tried signing up for the weekend? You can make decent money signing up to work the weekend. Safety toe is a company requirement. You'll be happy you have them if a beam falls on your foot or the hook on the dolly.
Hey, @FreightHauler87 Love how you're enjoying FedEx now, and how things are good! As you are talking about pay on previous videos "Hourly pay" especially. The Tanker Food Grade company I'm with pays me $35 an hour 1st 12 hrs, and after 24 hrs $45 an hr. I was in Columbus Ohio mars pet food plant a week ago and got over $900 in hourly pay since the power was out in most of Columbus that week ontop of 1,005 miles I had put down for that week. I made over $1,666 net. I'll make Close to same this week with 5 hrs of $35 an hour on 6-23-22. Not bad money for a 25 year old. I'm loving it here.
@@FreightHauler87 well keep the videos coming. The other company you are referring to will break the best man. I told you in a previous video I left after several years of service with the other company. It’s life good luck with Fedex
@@fredo2x625 I believe you can get a CDL, and use it, but you won’t be able to cross state lines until you’re 21. Also, there’s the factor of who will employ you with an intrastate-only CDL

Dude. That place is a joke. Get out of there. Should’ve never left Estes. Fedex freight was so bad for me I went back to my old job. I was working 6-7 hours a day on the dock. Fuck that place big time.
You picked a bad time to switch jobs with everything going on in this country. You'll be laid off first being the bottom on seniority when the bottom falls out here soon. Not hating on FXF but I'd of played it safe and stayed at Estes.

I’ve got orientation at FXF in two weeks (put my two weeks at my current company). Excited to join the team 💪🏾

I’m not sure. It’s really easy and straight-forward with FedEx. Easiest dock I’ve ever worked, and they don’t rush you

Talk to drivers there to see where they were at after 1 year, 2 years, etc to see get an idea of what’s to come
I’ve spoken to few guys who’ve started within the last three years, and they’re all running day runs now. One of them started last summer.
