- Hey, ya'll! Today's video is APARIGRAHA YOGA. Aparigraha is one of the Yamas of yoga & it is the practice of non-possessiveness, non-greed, & non-attachment. Non-attachment is something I've been trying to incorporate in my life more, as well as taking risks & getting out of my comfort zone. I thought this was fitting as this is the first video you all will be seeing of me with my locs cut off. I hope this video does something for you! Be sure to listen to your body, modify as needed, & come out of any postures that don't feel right. Take rests if you need to. Let me know what you think of this video in the comments. This video found me today, just when i needed it most. the other night there was a freak hailstorm that wiped out the garden my family and i had worked so hard on these past few months. fruits, veggies, flowers, everything shredded, yesterday i couldn't even bring myself to go outside because the sight of it was too much for my heart to bear. Today i'm feeling much better, contemplating the resilience of nature, and the act of rebuilding, coming into The Star after that Tower moment. I strongly feel this event to be a lesson in detachment, especially towards things i have no control over, such as nature. I trust that my garden will come back to life in time.
