GREAT to see you doing interviews again, Dan!
I look forward to hopefully another Dan and Randy Show this year..? ::fingers crossed::
While Disney Ultimates is not the line for me, I will dive all in if they make the classic Legend of Sleepy Hollow figures. Headless Horsemen and Ichabod Crane, 100%.
Was watching Roger Rabbit the other day with my son. I have a friend who worked on the film back in the day as an animator, it's definitely one of those special films for me.
This conversation has actually gotten me more excited about the Godzilla line. They sound awesome.
Love the info we always get from Brian.
Also love that he casually manages to slip F bombs into a Pixel Dan video.
I hope for ultimates for Roger rabbit
“ They don’t see the other 40 waves we have released..” The problem is , the fans do. As many have pointed out , …. Why are there 3 or 4 waves of turtles already out to customers that were solicited AFTER certain waves of Thundercats waves that have yet to come out? If it’s a factory issue , then why not have the TMNT factory produce them. It doesn’t add up . Why are reviewers getting these before customers…..Waves that are “ on the water “ Are already in reviewers hands ? The only explanation is good publicity is more priority than the fans.
I’ll add , I support the Thundercats line , I’ve bought from every wave , but I have to agree those fans have s9lid points.
@@kevinsharpe8457 My guess? It's easier to ship 1 case of those Thundercats figures from China via Air Mail but when you are making THOUSANDS of figures? Only way is to put them in one of those big metal trailers on a freight ship and it goes over the ocean to the harbors in California.
Super 7 odds are had some sent to them via AirMail for Review Purposes and for themselves to check over, but the other 95% of that wave of Thundercats order HAS to be shipped on a boat.
It sucks, but that's the unfortunate situation when you're making like 10,000 action figures.
@@TheBoglin Sure , I understand that, but there’s a good amount of fans bothered by how that looks .
Oh. My . God. Marry me (and be a girl!)! You are the first comment I’ve read with *anyone* actually pointing out all of these inconsistent and ridiculous, nonsensical babblings! Everyone else is eating this up and declaring Super 7 to be their very favorite ever! (plants? Ummm? I would put it past him). It seem pretty convenient for me to have to page this far down to find someone with a mind who understands this idiocy! Thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart for being a REAL FAN and speaking up! Hallelujah! Please guys, speak up, don’t buy, make Flynn shed his skin for all to see (he already has! Nobody’s looking at anything but the bright shiny lights he’s trying to cast over such a grim map!
I’m @stradlemonkey on Twitter if you ever want to chat collecting! While using our brains! Simultaneously! It would be great! Keep rocking!
@@kevinsharpe8457 Oh it 100% doesn't look good to fans, but most fans don't know how toy production works and distribution actually works. I've learned alot of this stuff from knowing people in the Glyos toy community who also make production toys but in much smaller amounts then super 7. Matt Doughty had a vinyl figure made back in 2009, first one actually. He had them shipped on a freighter and somehow a few of the boxes got lost at sea. Legimately tossed overboard. Since then he gets his stuff shipped via air mail which is also significantly faster.
The figures he makes are also MUCH smaller, about 3 inches tall, are sold in plastic baggies and are super easy to ship just tossed in a box. So you can ship alot more then Super 7's 6" Scale Ultimates figures. That's the unfortunate truth about these things, they are great figures but they are big, are in big packages and your only option for shipment is on a freight boat. 😕
i want Roger Rabbit figures! i want all the Toon Patrol members as figures!
Still hope they make some Clash of the Titans 1981 classics movie figures!
People don't think about "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" that often? You obviously don't live anywhere near me. My wife and I got married outside of the Toontown tunnel in LA (also the Back to the Future) tunnel. Then we went to Disneyland where we rode the Roger Rabbit ride like 4 times in a row. I can't wait for these figures to arrive at our house in a few days, a late surprise Valentine's Day present for her. Thank you Brian!!! I was literally in tears when I saw this announcement.
YES A BRIAN FLYNN INTERVIEW!!!!!! Thank you Dan!
Dan, I think you should ask Brian quarterly if there's any new hope for them to be able to revisit MOTUC.
I've been waiting for someone to make a Bonkers joke with Brian, so thank you, Dan, for that!
Thank you Dan been waiting for your interviews
85 and an open pre order is still more affordable than 90% of the MonsterArts line so I'm fine with it, doesn't mean I'm gonna buy every one of them but I'm open to that.
Super 7 has become my favorite toy company. I ended up moving all my collecting to their figures going forward as they have TMNT, Transformers, and GIJOE figures I really want. No more hunting and all easily preordered. That said, Brian is also the most transparent in the industry and I really appreciate that.
I am looking forward to the Godzilla Ultimates. I like the idea of starting with 2 characters in wave one and then maybe add one more monster each quarter. That way we get 4 - 5 figures a year which is totally reasonable. I don’t think we need 20 - 30 Godzilla figures. I’d be good with 10 - 15 maybe.
The bigger teaser was that the Super7 ReAction Godzilla had "Shogun" on it. I'm hoping that we get Shogun-sized Raiden, Mazinger Z or Great Mazinger, and Getter Robo or Getter Robo G.
Another great interview from Pixel Dan. You do pretty good interviews. Calm, respectful, great energy
Excellent stuff! Very much looking forward to more The Worst! Ultimates!
Fingers crossed for that Roger Rabbit wave 2! Eddie Valiant is a MUST. Just release Eddie and Psycho weasel. Maybe Baby Herman. Don't need all that many additional figures.
I’ve been waiting on a line to start collecting Godzilla figures. Yay!
As a New Super 7 Collector . Thanks for the great interview. Keep up the Great work !!!
If they're going backwards with Godzilla , I hope it means a Shin Gojira? I'd be down for that!
The reaction Disney I would love Donald Halloween special!
Simpsons reaction would be cool with the Planet of the Apes musical by Troy McClure. I was going to say Radioactive man but that probably deserves an Ultimate, right?
Need some Tiger Shark ultimates!
Great discussion. I was hoping for a hint on Silver Hawks wave 3 though.
Hey Brian, adding basic articulation to the reaction figures would be a GREAT thing! $18 for a 5poa figure (when Hasbro's are only $10) is a little too much for some of us. Besides, We(3.75 scale collectors) deserve to have better figures at that price. Please consider it.
Great video Pixel Dan. Thanks for the updates, always loved your Toy Fair and Comic Con videos. Also ……. Team Jessica 👍
Great interview. Looking forward to the next TMNT Ultimates reveal. Its too bad about the Godzilla price, so that might be a line I'll pick and choose figures. With that said, I'm already imagining me posing Godzilla with the Zords from the Power Rangers Ultimates line.
Another solid discussion Dan
I need a Roger Rabbit Ultimates Figure!
Unfortunately literally nothing in these latest Super 7 reveals that appeals to me but still always cool to see a new Brian Flynn interview
Thanks Dan
Listen, if the Godzilla Ultimates are well sculpted, painted, decent poseability, and accessories, I’d be willing to pay for waves with more than 2 figures per wave. I think 3 figures a golden number. 1 Godzilla and 2 monsters or 2 Godzilla’s and 1 monster depending on the wave. I’m hoping the first figures, since they’re starting modern, is 2014 Godzilla and both Male and Female Mutos. I think the Mutos can defiantly be in one box together because they both don’t need much in terms of accessories and the male is much much more smaller. But anyways, yeah I’d be very willing to have more figures per wave despite the price.
Se que las figuras a los Argentinos nos salen caras. .pero brian hace lo que queremos los coleccionistas. Y cada wave que se está por anunciar genera una emoción terrible!!!. Abrazo para todos.
Nice Talk, I had a little Question Brian ..why are the Ultimate s in Europe so expensive?? 70Euro for a normal Ultimate?? I think it’s very hard.thanxx
I sure hope wave 2 of Roger Rabbit is Weezy, Greasy, Psycho, Eddie Valiant & Baby Herman. Then we'd have all the main characters; I mean other than Dolores, but who cares lol. Oh...and the toon version of Judge Doom, the gorilla bouncer, and of course Benny.
Me looking at my funds planning for those Godzilla ultimates!!
I like when he said Hans Zimmer instead of Hans Gruber hah it took me a sec.
McBain the movie is so good too, nice surprise for even a casual Simpsons fan from the old days.
Are we gonna get any more Toxic Crusaders? I thought you’d ask!
RIP Bucky... I still love you... 🐰
Pluto's Christmas Tree all the WAY!
I miss the 5.5 He Man filmation figs. I love origins but that line was cut short bc mattel took back the license. Maybe in the future we'll get them again.
Great interview! Now I'm wondering what that bonus 5th figure will be in TMNT wave 7... sounds like it might be a repaint of some kind. Hmm.......
You Forgot to mention anything about the thundertank 😱 man i was waiting on news about that. 😔
Awesome interview! 👍🏼
Better they do Godzilla figures the right way than not doing any at all!
Powell peralta is my top pic & I wished for it in super 7’s fb post before the announcement!
I wish they had a toho license so that they could run the gamut and do Reaction and Ultimates for other non Godzilla properties like War of the Gargantuas,Varan,Matango,Gorath etc.
*Also i would be so down for reaction figures based on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, similar to the Haunted mansion figures they have out.
WE WANTS THE RED HEAD !
I hope there are figures based on the Max Headroom TV series at some point.
😎😎😎
I love it
I really wish there was more discussion about G.I.JOE. I've listened to 3 interviews now and not one of you asked about G.I.JOE. The line has so much potential to dive into all the random characters that Hasbro will never do!
Be cool if they made the fraggle Rock's
I am very curious about the critical role reaction figures. I think DnD and reaction would be a great fit, and CR is as close to DnD as we can get
@15:38 metallic paint for Silverhawks???. That would be a huge win.
Thundercats ReAction Wave 3 deets! lol
Any chance super7 can do startrek 2 wrath of Khan figures?
We need darking duck too
16:58 He's talking about the next mutation turtle, Venus 🐢
Yup that's what i got outta that
Ok, with the Godzilla Ults., I have a great idea, MAKE THEM SMALLER! Make these figures 6 inch scale so that they can go with other kaiju figure lines (SH Monsterarts) and so that they are cheaper, that literally fixes all the main problems, plus making bigger figures (like ghidorah) will make them less expensive.
Nahh...
Just looking at the Bruce Lee figure makes me want them to make either some The Last Dragon figures (Sho Nuff and Bruce Leroy) or The Five Deadly Venom figures
A ReAction Bruce Lee sounds great. After all, Super 7 did Karate Kid figures. I would love to have Bruce Lee in the “Karate Kid” world.
I do love this company, they make really great product.
Ok, but can we at least see the Godzilla ultimates? I need to see if I care about getting the line.
To be honest, 85.00 a figure is a better price than what Bandai asks for their shmonsterarts figures.
Totally respect Brian's desire not to overburden collectors with an unreasonable release cadence... I would like more figures per wave though, perhaps 6 instead of 4?
He CAUSED IT! A business if 18-20 years suddenly never expected any problems and put contingency plans in action and/or refine them for problems any partially intelligent person could see coming 7 solar systems away. 🙄🙄🙄
I wish the Muppets got brought up at the end. Still don't know what that's all about from the Fwoosh interview...I mean other than the Electric Mayhem Band figures. Just wondering if they'll be ReAction or full on articulated figures. I'd think the former since Palisades and Diamond Select already gave us big fully articulated Muppet lines. Maybe the details were brought up and I just missed it.
Great interview, though now all I can think about is what Disney property does Brian think is so crazy that we'll never expect it. Unfortunately, the way my brain is, I have no real idea how obscure anything is. I know The Black Cauldron doesn't have the biggest following, but is it that level? I know a Horned King would be must have for me, so maybe that's it?
What I do know is I hope they keep a Robin Hood figure in each wave. We still have a lot I need. 🙂
What happened to the NJPW figures ?
Dan, if you get the chance for follow up, could you ask about Roger Rabbit Ultimates? Roger is my favorite movie. Psyched for the ReAction, especially since it sounds like we’ll get Eddie and the other two weasels, and maybe even Benny! but want to know about Ultimates.
If there’s any chance Brian is reading this, we also want Baby Herman with nurse, Dolores, Marvin Acme, and R.K. Maroon, plus Toon Doom.
Any chance for metal slug figures? Maybe with a tank?
I was hoping to hear about Muppets.
How is Bruce gonna pose if he has single elbow and knee joints?
I need a HP Lovecraft actionfigure!
Honestly, I believe that as long as Super7 continues to produce TMNT and MOTU, above all the Reaction series, even because, they cost less than the Ultimates, it will continue to sell a lot and on a wider range of audiences, than if it produces figures based on groups. or musicians.
Super7 hasn't produced MOTU in a long time. Mattel got the license back years ago and have been making them ever since.
Really good interview. Super7 is a great company. So very excited they finally made Who Framed Roger Rabbit figures after such a long time. I can't wait to see more!
So godzilla is what provides this man a conscience on what people can afford and gives him pause on price gouging but not Thundertanks, Turtle Vans, Pinocchios, mickey mouses and all the other over priced figures, vehicles and toylines they produce. The truth in the matter is the godzilla licenses have rules, regulations and oversight to them that Warner Brothers and nickelodeon apparently don't have. So he only does the right thing when he has corporate eyes on him.
I’d love to have all the weasels from Roger Rabbit but the reactions cost a little too much for what they are. I do own some early horror ones they did tho. Guess the couldn’t get Christopher Lloyds likeness for the card art. Also love all the tmnt,Joe and Tcat ultimates but they just cost so much. Especially when I’m trying to buy Mattel MOTU stuff and Neca tmnt stuff
I will buy Silverhawks if they match the toy paint scheme. Silverhawks NEED to be silver.
Dang, really sad to hear Brian say we arent getting soft vinyl godzilla toys :/
Why are they talking about Godzilla at all? Coming in 2034!
Want me some megalon!
What about Alf?
Please super 7 make a blackie lawless from WASP action figure for your heavy metal music line
To Dan and Brian: Thank you for another great Super7 chat. I love hearing about what Super7 is doing. I also love the addition of Super7's pre-order page.
What I would like Super7 to give updates about:
1) What is happening with Super7's Knight Rider license? Will we see a ReAction K.I.T.T. and Bonnie?
2) I heard Brian doing his Super Friends narration voice (specifically from the Legion of Doom season). Does this mean that Super7 has the Super Friends license?
Yes it's Happening The Simpsons Reaction Action Figures is coming
48:40 Comes with the shoe but not their cain. What's up with that lol. Man, I wish Smartass came with their revolver and/or switchblade. So the other weasels won't have their weapons either. I sure hope the ultimate versions have the guns, cigarettes in the hat of Weezy, Smartass's cigar, etc. Like here's hoping disney understands those aren't sold at retail.
The Simpsons ones are great lol
Great interview as always. Brian is honest and relatable and doesn’t bs and I really like that.
Now that Super 7 is working on the Bruce Lee action figures, I sense a Brandon Lee's The Crow action figure might be on the horizon. By the way, why can't anyone get Bruce's likeness right when they are making his action figures? Last, I'm all in for the Disney Reaction figures. How about some Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers n Gummi Bears Ultimates! Those being my favorites, I would definitely love to see those done. Also, How about The iconic little blue creatures, my beloved Smurfs? These being created in the Ultimates line would be epic! I need the cartoon Smurfs n not those movies Smurfs that look like crap. Come on Super 7, you can make them happen. 👍☝
Bandai's SHF Bruce Lee figures have an excellent likeness.
Where is TNG Wave 2????? Come on!
I see the guy from Super7 still hasnt improved his webcam bandwidth problem in the 2 years since the pandemic started :(
Brian is full of it. He feels “ bad” prices on the Ultimates are high? Yet he has no problem for the 3-4 inch 5POA Reaction figures costing 20 bucks each. That’s pretty much the price for a fully articulated Marvel legends figure. Pixel Dan is nothing but a schill for Super 7, Hasbro and Mattel and especially Neca with their non durable figs with QC issues. This guy never gives honest criticisms. He’s there to make sure you buy so he can keep his connections with these companies.
if you don't trust his opinion why are you even here
Don't make Godzilla smaller. No real fan wants a small Godzilla. Releaseing two at time is a good plan.
I miss motu reaction
Tell them to lower their price on the toys
50:51 Jessica? Really? lol
_That's_ supposed to be the most desired character from Roger Rabbit...that's super weird. That would be the view from those fetish anime sexual deviant types. From what I know, the weasels have always been the ones most collectors want, and Jessica would be dead last.
Actually that be kinda interesting... figures of pixel Dan,fwoosh, shartimus ,and so on. Hmmm interesting 😏
I can't wait for all of them. Bruce Lee is out now of course..meh. But the rest for sure.
Seriously?!?!?!?! Everyone I've ever been around still loves and talks about Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Now if it wasn't in the worthlessly terrible reaction line I'd be interested. But not in that hot garbage that is the reaction crap.
Brian is such a transparent guy…wish they were still doing Motu, I’m not into anything they are making now, except maybe that Bruce Lee figure.
If your going to do a Bruce lee get it right! Not very good likeness this Bruce looks half-assed. A way better head sculpt is needed and body.
Nothing like a Bruce Lee figure that can't move/do everything that Bruce Lee could. This guy and his way of thinking about toys in 2022 is so backwards, lazy and corrupt. Imagine selling people fully posable hot toys spidermans at premium figuarts prices and then shipping out a reissue of the vintage Secret Wars spiderman while telling them it the same thing you sold them on and is good as is. Brian is the king of double talk/bait and switch.
