Your sketches literaly look so cool!! Also- you have gave me motivation to draw- i shall go draw now :]
Thank you so much 😀
Same!!! He brought out the inner artist (not that great at drawing) in Mee!
Beautiful work? How do you manage to paint these locations? Do you snap a photo to paint later, or do you have to find somewhere to sit. I imagine these paintings take a little while.
Both! If I have time, I'll paint on location. But if not, I snap a pic and finish in a hotel room or whenever I can.

Ohh, okay!
@@ssavaart i wish I could be like you......actually
.....i wish I could BE YOU!!!
You really motivated me to start drawing again! I even bought a new sketchbook lol
That's awesome!
Wow this was heartwarming. I really love the story telling and of course the drawings you made. Thanks for showing this amazing journey of yours😊
I am in a few art classes and recently i have been feeling like im losing my passion to sketch and make art but you have sparked my passion again, hearing you describe how to do things showing how you use water colors and just enjoy creating art in your daily life is incredible. i love the way your water color paintings have so much color in the faces and a soft yet divided color to the skin. you inspired me to purchase a watercolor set and delve into a medium i have relatively minimal experience in.
Thank you.
Same!😂
It's amazing how much you improved in one year. Love it
Thank you so much!
All of these sketches are just amazing I just can't express in words
This just looks so awesome, its like a real life movie slideshow, so beautifully made and memories well spent, can't possibly say nothing more!! i love your works so much!! ❤️❤️❤️
Since quarantine happens I wasn't really painting (I don't know why) but I found you in 2021 and suddenly I wanted to draw.I draw and draw till one and a half weeks later I filled a whole notebook with drawings.Thank you!
I loved your pictures, especially the ones of Idaho Springs Colorado, where I grew up!
This is amazing! I would love to do a travel journal too, one day.
Hey Scott!! Im a new fan of your channel. I am currently 15 years old who lives in The Philippines. When I was much younger, i thought art was just a drag, it’s all just a bunch of color that looks appealing to the audience. But since covid struck, my view on art change dramatically, and I hoped to improve more on it one day. Your videos always lights up my mood and gives me motivation to do art. I want to make a travel journal like yours one day to look back on old memories. Thinking about it makes me feel butterflies for some reason.
You art is truly amazing and it changed my life in some way. I’m starting to like gouache and watercolor paintings and planning to make more art out of them. Your drawing process gives me hope for myself that I am just a young artist growing and learning, just like you! I don’t hope to be you someday, but I want to become my better, unique self! You don’t know how much your art means a lot to me, it keeps encouraging me to be my unique self and not be afraid to show my true colors.
Keep doing what you love doing, Scott! There can be negatives in life, but always remember that there are people out there who care for you whenever you’re feeling down. Thank you for your amazing artworks, thank you for existing and thank you for being yourself.
Lots of love, Xel.
Thank you for taking the time to write your appreciation to scott 💙
Quite the year. Lovely pictures. All the best.
I love this...oh can you continue doing the 60 days of drawing the people who changed the world
Thanks. It's going to be 30 days. And yes. I'm still working out some logistics on the whole series. But hopefully will start again soon.
@@ssavaart you won't believe its my favorite series
you motivate me to draw so much, love your videos:)
You sure have been to a lot of beautiful places in 2021.
What a fantastic video! I discovered you a few weeks ago and I watch a few of your vids every night. I've started looking into purchasing watercolours to use (guache (sp?) looks cool but I don't know where to start lol). I have never sketched or painted properly besides school projects so I'm Reay excited. You're such a cool person, I really look forward to your videos!
😮que bello todooo😍👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Your skatch is sooo enjoyable to watch I hope some day I have your experience and talent
Beautiful, inspiring work
I also live in Franklin and recognized alot of the locations! I live not to far from downtown and recognized the Landmark bookstore and the Franklin theater. There were some others like the Carter house and the Carnton plantation house that took me a bit to figure out.
these are amazing! do you take photos on site and sketch them later or do you prefer sketching the scene in person?
Both! If I have time, I'll paint on location. But if not, I snap a pic and finish in a hotel room or whenever I can.
this was a good question, i was wondering the same thin
This made me cry :,) so beautiful and honestly motivational. Thank you.
Damn I would just love to have you and your family as friends! Hugs from Provence, Adrien
Your amazing artist 😊
your journal is so awesome I want a travel journal like this. I bought a new set of paint 🎨🙂
Hi Scott, Although i have recently discovered you. I have been watching your content like crazy! you have become, without a doubt my favorite artist! I actually recently began my art journey a little over 2 months ago, finally at the age 30 on a whim. I went my whole life not ever attempting any art. As a kid I was discouraged. I thought of my self as a non artistic type, and i felt just bad at it in general. So i stayed away from it. Well after finally trying to learn i have found it to be a passion of mine and wish more than anything, that I had taken to it at a younger age and realized the passion i have for it. I am crazy about it and everyday i practice and plan to do so, everyday. It's all I want to do in my free time anymore.
Sorry for the rant. The reason I am sayin this all though, Is you! Aside from the love and passion i have found in art. I have discovered you as well. Not just and amazing artist who i can watch create for hours and learn and enjoy. You are someone who inspires and brings me joy to listen and share this sliver of your life with. Not only is it the amazing art you share with us all. It is the confidence and optimism you offer on all things art. You feel almost as a mentor or life coach in a way, Someone i can relate to and I share interests with. Without a doubt you are someone that i can still look up to at the age of 30. You inspire and give me the confidence to keep on trying even when i feel i failed. I wanted to say thank you. For all that you do, and all that you share and give to us all.
In closing, Thank you Scott... Is all i truly need to say. Thank you.
Oh. Thank you so much! ❤️
@@ssavaart Of course!
“And of course, David Bowie.” This man gets me 😂
"Spent 55 dollars on a piece of meteorite and I'm sure it isn't real."
I can't.
Im just finding you. How cool. Im from Ky. Hope you enjoyed my BEAUTIFUL state.
Your a great painter I wish I could be as good as you but I can't your so good 🎶✨😢😔😌
I swear if you made a book about this you would be a millionaire
This is utterly beautiful and just filled my heart up with joy and inspiration watching:)
The art of storytelling as you flip through the pages of your sketchbook which are in order of the events makes me not just wanna be a good artist but be a good storyteller as well.
Seeing you create something so beautiful is exhilarating .
Loads of love to you Sir .
THANK YOU for pronouncing Illinois correctly!!!! I’m a chicagoan so it really bugs me when people add the s haha 😂
That was a very entertaining, emotional and educational Sketchbook video. Literally inspired me to start sketch journaling again
You're so talented! This was a lovely tour of your sketchbook and the amazing adventures you had. Thank you for sharing 😊
First thing I'm amazed by: how amazing your art is. So very very cool. Second thing: your handwriting is very average, which is encouraging. I thought every artist had just spectacular penmanship, so it is refreshing to see an amazing artist that doesn't write like someone out of an 1800's calligraphy school.
Love the sketchbook tour !! I feel like it’s the best way to remember a trip or even a period of our lives… Can’t wait to see more sketchbook content !! And how long do you usually spend on each drawing ? They look fantastic 😊
You are such an inspiration. I've loved drawing and painting since I was a little kid and stopped a few years ago cause I wasn't as good as I wanted to be. I forgot that drawing and painting is about enjoying the process and just having fun.
Thank you for reminding me that!
You like Bowie, live in a hobbit house and do art. You're living my dream 🤩
scott i have one question, how did you still draw and make videos due to the loss of your grandfather and your son having autoimmune diesease, but as for me i gave up drawing 6 years due to the loss of my parents
Beautiful work..really motivates me to do something like this amazing..God bless, keep it up!!
My god that David Bowie drawing blessed my eyes it's so beautiful ✨ can u share more of your rock stuff?
Hey Scott (Is it okay if I call you that ?) I’m getting into watercolor and was wondering , if I am making a face and forget to put spots for the eyes , how do I save it with no white paint ?
What got you the idea to start drawing and painting Mr Sava
I'm a big fan, what's the name of the book I can't seem to find it on your links
Please tell us about your old sketch book
Holy shit dude.
Early and amazing work ❤
What type of sketch book is that?
This is a beautiful way to document your life. I’m sure your children and their children will treasure these one day.

(Oh my lord! That rhymed!)
Amazing! Superb! Thank you for sharing
Hello! I love your art, I would like to ask if you have any cat paintings? It would make my day
What are you using to create the white outline around your art? Love to know. Sorry about your Dad, I know what you're going through.
Beautiful! So happy to stumble upon your channel :)
Where did you get the dust cover for your SketchBook that's a great idea that way you can constantly reload and keep the same cover
‘I spent 55 dollars on a piece of meteorite,im sure it wasn’t real though’
This sketchbook is really beautiful!💓
I have the same sketchbook as your old one, minus the lovely leather cover.
What part of CT., my family lives there?
i live in humboldt county :) so cool knowing u were here!
Your paintings look soooo nice. Watching this just made me more excited for my Gouche tubes to arrive.❤️ Hoping I reach the point where I can paint as good and as quick as you, but for now I’ll just focus on painting as much as I can and having fun.❤️
Wow. I hope your art journals get passed through your descendants for generations. Absolutely priceless.
Sad about your dad, but otherwise this is super cool
love ❤❤❤from India...really your arts and the way u Express your life through art is just amazing...some day if I got a chance I would like to try this ...keep it up👍
Was that a picture of Zac Pinsent I spotted?
Lovely! I was so fortunate to have taught at Humboldt State for two years while in California. I know the drive cross country and the trees very well and also absolutely love Xarmel by the Sea . Good luck to both your sons on their learning adventures and thanks for the beautiful trip through your wonderful schetches!
I love your sketchbook adventure.
I buy my daughter the XL sketchbooks now. Great price for the quality.
I have a question if you or anyone can answer it. My daughter sketches with pencil. I have bought her every other medium to get her to branch out. She only wants to use regular black pencil. So I started buying her different pencils as far as hardness etc. She wants to stick to the trusty #2's. I can't seem to figure out why she doesn't want to take it to another level in her art. She has the talent. Am I making a mistake suggesting other mediums to her? She is self taught. Oh yeah she does love to draw digitally now so I got her a good digital sketch tablet. So there's that. She wants to go to college in the animation, film, gaming industry. I just want the best for her.
Omg this is like storyline sketchbook .Amazing artwork .
I had to pause and zoom. Thinking it looked like Idaho Springs!! So much eye candy and old Victorian homes and semi broken mills and mines. Wish I had been more into urban sketching back when I lived there! What a cool moment!
Your an inspiration to us all, lovely work
Thank you for sharing you year and scatches.
It gives such an inspiration

Hey, could you link where you got that cover for your journal? I'm looking to make a watercolor journal myself and I like the cover a lot
He has a short about it. It was something he and his son worked on together, so it might be hard to find something similar.
