I understand that the composer of this song is Jose Alfredo Jimenez! At the time of posting this video I was unaware and always just associated it with Vicente! Thank you for watching and commenting!
@mariamiller8549 I respectfully disagree. Let mainstream country continue being riddled with stereotypes about beer, trucks, boots, and hats. Besides, their fanbase is racist who constantly complain about “illegals”. I hope this young man wants *NOTHING* to do with all of that.
Wow!!! This is Amazing. Love this kid. He’s going places. His Spanish is perfect and his voice is a gift!! Can’t wait to see him in tour in the future.🤩
My mother’s favorite singer, Vicente Fernandez and composer Jose Alfredo. Grew up on both singers & love them to this day. Great job William! Thank you for keeping our Mexican music alive. 🫶
Found this dude today and I been fan boying over his music. On top of that, listening to him sing some Of my Mexico's favorite songs just make me like his music even more. Chente made this song famous world wide but the song belongs to one of Mexicos best composers, Jose Alfredo Jimenez. I hope to see this dude making it big and sticking to his roots!
This kid is going to be big. It sounds like a cliche, but he's the next Elvis. He's got the look, and boy does he have the voice. I'm thrilled to be seeing him in Cedar Park in September.
@richschmitt6309I respectfully disagree. He’s not the next Elvis. He’s the one and *only* William Beckmann. Elvis *barely* played his guitar and had *nowhere* near the vocal range as this young man.
Is true, and José Alfredo Jiménez was also a performer and sang it very powerfully, although he did not know how to play any musical instrument, a great singer and musical composer from Guanajuato.❤
That does it your an honorary Mexican now I’m first generation born and you sing more Mexican than me. My Mexican mother has confirmed this. I love it.
This guy easily can become a star in Mexico you wait and see it depends on him if he wants too. The majority of mexicans and latin America. haven't heard him yet. He has a beautiful voice and perfectly made for Mexican music . I can't understand why being Amercan born and can sing in both languages yet able to transmitte to us latinos the feeling of a mexican song amaze's me , unless he was raised in a Mexican family. He sang Volver, Volver to a standing ovation at the Grand Ol' Opry. It was honestly so impressive

Una piedra en el camino
Me enseñó que mi destino
Era rodar y rodar (rodar y rodar, rodar y rodar)
También me dijo un arriero
Que no hay que llegar primero
Pero hay que saber llegar
Con dinero y sin dinero
Yo hago siempre lo que quiero
Y mi palabra es la ley
No tengo trono ni reina
Ni nadie que me comprenda
Pero sigo siendo el rey
