Alright, so this is an experiment on several fronts :) First off, biggest of thank you's to my bud, Gareth West, for suggesting this video idea and lending his stellar voice to this epic track \m/
I've always wanted to cover certain anime openings, but was afraid of how they would perform here on UA-cam due to the fact that they're past their "trendiness" or that they were just never popular in the first place. With this video, I am very interested to see how peeps respond to it. Depending on how this does, I will know whether or not I can take an older song (albeit, still very popular), give it a fun, silly music video, and be still be able to see success!

Do what feels right for you Caleb. You are the musician. It may not be popular what you choose to do, but it's what your soul tells you to do. I know youtube is about the subs, but if you dont do what you want once in a while, you'll go insane and burnout. Just know that your voice, at least for this fan, is why you got the sub.

The first time I heard this was on one of Caleb's CDs on the way home from a con. After a few listens I was like, "Wait, that sounds like Takeda..." I had no idea Garreth was on the CD too!

I hope you keep doing more videos like this: looking back at older anime or even unpopular or less popular songs and doing them because you like them and have a great idea for it. I understand the trend of pretty much all cover artists to do what's new and only what's new, and it makes sense, but... there's such an amazing backlog of wonderful songs that deserve recognition. I hope this song does well for you so you can continue to look into the past, there's a lot of music (and the shows attached to them) that should never be forgotten, and your fantastic voice more than does them justice :) Keep it up!
