I love how Caleb's translations for this song go more in depth with what Ed was feeling in the beginning of the show. Makes his character seem more personable in some ways
maybe its because i am a younger brother but i think he could have done better with verse 2. in the other translations ive seen its ed directly talking to his brother and wondering why he stays loyal after all hes put them through. In caleb's version its about how ed puts so much on himself and how much pain hes in because of it.

I can't believe I only just now found this video. It's so good. I've seen other English covers of this song and was less than impressed with their translations and tempo, but you managed to make the lyrics fit beautifully without needing to force it by drawing out syllables or mashing words together and making it sound awkward. Excellent job! You've definitely passed your annual state alchemist assessment with flying colors.
I've always loved singing, always been good at it too. But depression and lack of self-confidence and self-esteem never pushed me to thrive and improve it. That changes today, my next singing goal is to be able to sing this. Thanks for the inspiration Caleb, you rock!
Watching FMAB for the first time and I just found this and I have to say. IM SHOOK. (And not like Winry in the OP) I've heard you sing before. But this, THIS was something else. The fact that you managed to sing so dang FLAWLESSLY at such a fast pace without passing out is a miracle in itself (must've cost you an arm or a leg). And don't get me started on those lyrics. What I liked about the original song was that the rap didn't sound like most of the rap I've heard before(which sounds terrible), it sounds more like very fast singing. Not everyone is able to do that, and I'm glad you were able to.

Never been so glad to be one notification squad. This is my first and favorite anime song. The first one I ever learned all the english and japanese words to. this is fantastic thank you so much for covering it. I've been so sad today but this has helped so much.

Wow this cover is probably my favorite English one yet! There are so many great covers of this song out there, but I feel like I hear the right pitch, power, and sense of desperate searching in your performance/translation of the lyrics that was in the original. Also, the acoustics behind you is perfect!
And yes, this has got to be one of the hardest songs to cover. You did awesome on that high pitch and frantic pace :)

I can't believe I only just now found this video. It's so good. I've seen other English covers of this song and was less than impressed with their translations and tempo, but you managed to make the lyrics fit beautifully without needing to force it by drawing out syllables or mashing words together and making it sound awkward. Excellent job! You've definitely passed your annual state alchemist assessment with flying colors.
I've always loved singing, always been good at it too. But depression and lack of self-confidence and self-esteem never pushed me to thrive and improve it. That changes today, my next singing goal is to be able to sing this. Thanks for the inspiration Caleb, you rock!

I've heard you sing before. But this, THIS was something else. The fact that you managed to sing so dang FLAWLESSLY at such a fast pace without passing out is a miracle in itself (must've cost you an arm or a leg). And don't get me started on those lyrics. What I liked about the original song was that the rap didn't sound like most of the rap I've heard before(which sounds terrible), it sounds more like very fast singing. Not everyone is able to do that, and I'm glad you were able to.
