Did I say the last one I made was the final version? Oops, I lied. This is the REAL final version. What? Don't give me that look, I'm telling the truth this time! Honest!
From this point, ZERO shall never be truly defeated. He resides in just about everything, He has no life, no friends, no love, _No Fate_. He will come back and try to kill us all someday, we just got to be prepared. For dreamland, and the rest of the galaxy!
Someone included this in their Terraria wavebank to play during the Solar Eclipse and I finally found it. Lovely remix, and it fits so well with the situation too. Thank you so much for making this~
Zero, the entity of hate, sorrow, pain, and fury. Ruler of all Dark Matter, Destroyer of hope, Emotionless, Power beyond all measure, an unknown goal, Defeated before, back with a vengeance, But a mystery unsolved, a halo, resting atop Zero Two, Is he really evil? Is it you? Are you the truly evil one?
And here I thought you couldn't improve on such a song. Boy, I was absolutely wrong on all aspects. Definitely has its own flair seperate from the previous version. Haunting, creepy, yet something you really would want to have an epic battle to.
@TheaonicAdversary Wikipedia says this "The bandage on its head references the event when 0's eye exploded out of its body (a surprisingly bloody animation, which is a complete opposite to the usual cute nature of the game) and chased Kirby around. The "cactus tailed" 02 symbolizes his undying hatred towards everything and its halo symbolizes its resurrection and the distant memory of its long gone ability to have positive feelings." Zero Two is much more complex than I originally thought.
This arrangement is a beautiful piece of art! It should be shared to the uninspired! I might sound overly-excited, but this Zero Two arrangement is just that beautiful!
I never knew about Zero Two when I got Kirby 64 as a kid. I was 8 years old. In 2008, I decided to try and collect the rest of the Crystal Shards. Then I saw World 7 appear and freaked out. To see this wicked monstrosity (known as Zero Two) to be the final boss and to see that I never actually had beaten the game this whole time was way beyond my comprehension. Boss Battle is kinda strange, but this is my favourite final boss theme ever. Scary, yet sad.
its interesting to see how the artists like to see his wings... what started off as long, flat polygons have been turned into claws, eyeball veins, strings, and angel wings. good to see so many inspired fans
Had to come back, absolutely had to. Went through a countdown of sad moments in games, and needed to get the sad outta my system with badass, so here I stand.
I feel like the whole thing with Kirby games were like this: If you are a kid, you just go through things by seeing the bare minimum (Just go through the game without collecting the shards). Like when we are taught history in high school, you only hear this and that happened. But when you get older, you might question something, so you go deeper into looking for the truth (Hence actually collecting all the shards), thus you find it is much different than you expected.
Holy moly, I think that that picture at 4:04 moves a bit. Amazing effect... And wow, this music really has that underlying sadness that makes this one a really weird piece, but a reeeally cool piece to fight by.
@MrAnon05 the 2 is offset downwards, like how they write the atomic structure of a molecule. eg. H2O = Hydrogen x2 + Oxygen x2. O2 is oxygen. The flaw people have with thinking 02 is a being made of oxygen, is that O2 is the letter "O" and 2, whereas 02 is a ZERO and 2.
This is an EPIC remix of Kirby vs Zero-Two. It really sounds the significance of this battle. Whenever a boss battle song has a choir, the battle is going to be epic.
@maniamawesome98 As exemplified in the Kirby Superstar cutscene in the beginning of Milky Way Wishes AND multiple areas of Kirby 64 itself, Kirby doesn't always try to kill a Waddle Dee when he sees one, it's just that Dedede sends them after him. Blame it on Dedede, not Kirby.
it was in the japanese storyline of Drawica, And anyway alot of kirby final bosses have bared very similar designs to Zero since he was first shown, and his backstory basically says that Zero is the devil.
0 cannot have good emotions, only the bad ones (like sadness and anger). So, he's going to corrupt everything; this way, if he cannot be happy, no-one will be happy. Dark matter is created (or maybe just controlled) by him. 02 is, basically, 0's revengeful spirit in One Winged Angel Mode.
SSBB was made by Sora LTD which is a new company made by Sakurai the original creator of Kirby after he left Hal after the release of Kirby Air Ride. But Sakurai is working with Hal to make Kirby Wii(coming out next year apparently ;o)
I remember hearing somewhere that the Japanese manuals implied that the bosses in Kirby 'sold their souls' to Zero for power or something. I don't have a Japanese manual, so I don't know for sure.
So haunting and terrifying creepy at the same time! This is very well done, great job! You really did the theme justice. Any chance for another mp3? :)
My favorite Kirby Boss and he actually makes me feel sad for him ;( I hope they do find a way to bring him back, he needs more love out there in the fanbases
@danitabori No, I got the game when I was 8 years old, back in 2000. But only when I was 15 or 16 that I decided to continue and THAT was when I first fought and beat him. Yes, I beat him 8 years after I bought the game. lol I know strange. But that's because I didn't know he was the final boss. I didn't know there was a World 7. It was crazy for me. It made an old game of mine feel new. Such a great feeling.
He's just like Hamlet, think about it. 02 is 0's mourning son whose father's ghost revealed to him, and Kirby is his usurper. Zero's so symbolic and allusive, the creepy smile at the beginning of the fight is his failed decoy of cluelessness. Zero two is just disillusioned to Kirby's villainy!
I can understand where a lot of the confusion comes from - the name has been written in the games with the 2 as either a subscript (leading people to think the name was O2, or Oxygen) or a superscript (leading to Zero Squared). But the character is a reincarnation of the final boss of Kirby's Dreamland 3 - Zero. It would make more sense that the name is Zero Two. On top of this, the Japanese name for 02 is ゼロツー (the sound CD in the 20th anniversary pack confirms this), which is Zerotsu (Zerotwo)
With the recent announcement of Kirby Wii's persistent development, and the appearance of many Dream Land grunts such as Mumbies, chances are up that we may finally see a 0³ after 11 years of waiting!
If it is true, I will personally see to Sakurai's destruction. Zero and Marx(and Nightmare King to a lesser extent) are the coolest Kirby bosses because they break the trend of cute within the game. Zero's story is completely dark and demented especially for a "cute" game like Kirby.
Some drawings may say otherwise, but I don't believe the rose tail ever moved, so yeah, it's probably just as flexible as a rose stem, further adding possibility to your point... God, the game creators must be falling out of their chair laughing at people overanalyze this. Anyway, great arrangement! it beats the brawl mix!
Hey! Stop at 3:07 and imagine a shapeshift of Zero-Two. When I did, he looked like a boo, it's easy! Just put his 3 wings on each side into 1 and they look like arms, then, turn his core point to make his body a circle. Then there you have it, a Boo.
I've heard some fans believe that Galactica Knight is some manner of Zero reincarnated. This doesn't make sense, considering that Galactica Knight existed long before Zero. I can see why people might think that, however. If anything, I think the only way to properly bring Zero back, is by bringing back one of his remnant Dark Matter spores, like from Dream Land 2. Perhaps this child of Zero would have an opportunity for redemption.
Correct. This artwork is from Pixiv, a Japanese version of Deviant Art. Zero and all of the Shinichi Shimomura Kirby characters are far more popular there than they are here.
@maniamawesome98 only endings, All Kirby games have the most evil final bosses. we have here: Nightmare; not scary Dark mind; preview of zero Dark matter; possesive, pure dark creature Zero; Crys blood, wants pure distruction Zero2; Cannot feel happiness, always in pain, crys blood, and in the form of a fallen angel... Enough to give me nightmares...
epic win, will there be a mp3 link for this song anytime soon? btw where do you get that image at the beginning? (the one of his bleeding eye) that needs to get on my background asap! ^_^
@DevilRebellion you are surely quite lucky. you experienced this cool, epic and scary bossfight, as its supposed to be. i never had an n64, and i only watched a lp of kirby 64. it wasnt a great expirience as a 20 year old, and not even playing myself. i think o2 is the most creative and interesting kirby boss. and i love his theme, the brawl version isnt that good though. did you actually beat him as a child?
I have seen many great remixes of 02's theme but none had thanked Jun Ishikawa the maker of the tune. So thank him because with out him this would not exist.
C-R-O-W-N-E-D and 02's theme are both amazing, they both give off the feeling of "You HAVE to win or else the universe is doomed."And I fucking love it.It really puts pressure on the player.
Cite a source for Drawica's connection to Zero. As for other bosses appearing like Zero, eyes are a recurring pattern in Nintendo bosses. Just look at how many Zelda bosses have eyes as a weak point.
@TheMetroidMadness alright where do you think the MUCH more bloody Zero battle came from. You know what I'll make it more quiz-like, you have 3 days to answer or you lose.Starting now!
@SteelAurora Kirby RPG FTW! If it's rated T then they can stop keeping Zero a secret and make an extremly epic game. Look at the MArio RPGs. I just think that they can do more with Kirby than Mario so it would make an even better game. But yes I,third?, that motion!
yes a rose would make sense because a rose has always been a symbol of love and happiness so has an angle which is 02 but roses can cause pain due to the fact a rose is trying to do good in its own mind but only in its mind the outside shows its true emotions so Nintendo leads you to believe that "o hey there's a cute angle" and then turns int a monster you see 02 is like a rose only he thinks his actions are good but on the outside you see what he truly is. a monster. and a fallen angle poor 02
Zero = zero 2 (note: the band-aid on the top of his head under the halo which is most likely where he shoot his eye out in dream land 3 to kill Kirby to no avail)
that's where you are wrong, many kirby games can be linked by Zero, dark matter is used in multiple games that don't appear to have zero but things that reference him, Zero 2 being a ressurected Zero. Zero is essentially the real main villian of the kirby series while Dedede is more of a rival as referenced in Kirby 64 when they team up. Drawica made a deal with Zero for power, that is why her Soul form resembles Zero. I read the backstory of the games.
I thought there was an official source that said that? Like an extra book released in Japan that told back stories of a bunch of Kirby games... Much like how Square Enix released a book explaining plot points in Final Fantasy VII, and Advent Children. Though for all I know. There is no backstory to Zero-Two... Though it makes sense, why his theme sounds sad, why he cries blood, and just his kinda sad look in that artwork in the credits of Kirby 64.
What about that eye-creature with kirby and the mirror shards? he looks similar to him... is he also a part of this god-like creature? I didnt know kirby games could be so deep o-o
@AesopRockability I'm not 10 years old. lol I'm 18 years old. I said I got the game when I was 8 years old and that in 2008, I finally found and beat Zero-Two. When I bought the game, it was still new, in 2000.

Kind of like you but without all the killing shit
Someone included this in their Terraria wavebank to play during the Solar Eclipse and I finally found it. Lovely remix, and it fits so well with the situation too. Thank you so much for making this~
Mogus Wogus is that a video your talking about?
Zero, the entity of hate, sorrow, pain, and fury. Ruler of all Dark Matter, Destroyer of hope, Emotionless, Power beyond all measure, an unknown goal, Defeated before, back with a vengeance, But a mystery unsolved,
a halo, resting atop Zero Two,
Is he really evil?

Are you the truly evil one?
Who knows! :D
And here I thought you couldn't improve on such a song. Boy, I was absolutely wrong on all aspects. Definitely has its own flair seperate from the previous version. Haunting, creepy, yet something you really would want to have an epic battle to.
... dude you made things better and better as you made the songs! Gorgeous arrangement!
this is absolutely beautiful thank you!
10 seconds in I wanted to boost up my sound while it couldn't go any louder.
Awesome...pure Awesomeness.
@TheaonicAdversary Wikipedia says this "The bandage on its head references the event when 0's eye exploded out of its body (a surprisingly bloody animation, which is a complete opposite to the usual cute nature of the game) and chased Kirby around. WOW!!! 1000% Perfect! The Best, Final, most EPIC Masterpiece in Final Scary Music in Gaming History!!!!
Nicely done and the quality is top-notch!
I never knew about Zero Two when I got Kirby 64 as a kid. I was 8 years old. In 2008, I decided to try and collect the rest of the Crystal Shards. Then I saw World 7 appear and freaked out. This is so far the best Zero Two-remix i have heard... And there is a lot!
Lol well done, kavakos. Whenever I type 02 in youtube your video always shows up. That's definitely saying something :D
Had to come back, absolutely had to.
Went through a countdown of sad moments in games, and needed to get the sad outta my system with badass, so here I stand.

Anger, and Sadness, that's all I wanna feel right now :) , damn I smiled... I killed the mood of the music...

I didn;t have earphones on but I swear the song was going through my ears back and forth
The 02 at 2:15 looks seriously disappointed in me...
"bruh"
I dont know which one I like best. They're all so damn good.
This is an EPIC remix of Kirby vs Zero-Two. It really sounds the significance of this battle. Whenever a boss battle song has a choir, the battle is going to be epic.
epicness!!!!!
GREATEST MUSIC EVER MADE
Someone already mentioned this earlier, but I really love how most kirby games goes from cheery, goofy, and colorful, to dark, emotional, and epic.
Giygas + Zero Two = Nightmare Fuel
lol
That sounds rather sad and terrifying at the same time. It also make an interesting story.
AWESOME JOB DUDE!!!! So epic! And i thought the last one was awesome! You need to provide a download for this one!!
There are a few Kirby games that have backstories. Not deep ones, but Squeak Squad is all about a quest for a slice of cake!
;)
The most terrifying boss of my childhood!
This is just...epic!!
For some reason I think ZeroTwo theme is kind of sad...
And I love it!!
ZERO-TWO is a goddamn ANGEL!
A goddamn EPIC ANGEL!
That idea is a winner. I agree.
Indeed. They see the slightest thing that looks/seems inappropriate and poke fun at it.
This one needs a download link absolutely love it!
amazing

The best remix I heard to my favorite video game theme.
So haunting and terrifying creepy at the same time! This is very well done, great job! You really did the theme justice. Any chance for another mp3? :)
That opening had no business making me lose No Nut November like that.
@zerosvc2 Yeah, one that can only feel happiness, and doesn't know the destruction that he is causing.
My favorite Kirby Boss and he actually makes me feel sad for him ;(
I hope they do find a way to bring him back, he needs more love out there in the fanbases
I always wondered why she looked so much like Zero! That bit of the game when she changes form gave me the willies...
02 Is the angel of the darkness
Yet Dark Nebula is sitll hanging around...I wouldn't be surprised if we saw 0 again.
Holy. Crap. THIS IS EPICAWESOMESAUCE

It would be awesome if this was in a higher quality or it had a download link so that UA-cam didn't butcher the quality of this excellent piece.
dude? im serously gonna piss my self scared if i keep having thoughts about this but anyways g-good v-vid...
I would love to see 02 in Epic Yarn. I can imagine him bleeding red yarn. =P
I've had the potential to fight both Zero and Zero Two for about a year, and I never did!
If it is true, I will personally see to Sakurai's destruction.
Zero and Marx(and Nightmare King to a lesser extent) are the coolest Kirby bosses because they break the trend of cute within the game.

@GeneralKavakos And 03 is the source of all the rainbows, gumdrops and chu chu trains out there. :3

The two pictures from 1:35 to 2:34 are my favorites.
@nightspawn13 oh ya and the game zero (the original white blob of dark matter) is from i believe kirby's dreamland 3.
This needs to be on OCRemix.
I can't stop listening to this song thanks to you, i watch it on youtube more than 3 times a day. IT'S SO AWESOME!!!
Could you give me a link please?
i dont know why but i always think in link fighting against zero two, for me that will be awesome :O
Correct. This artwork is from Pixiv, a Japanese version of Deviant Art. Zero and all of the Shinichi Shimomura Kirby characters are far more popular there than they are here.

@Thamariofan12 personally i think zero revives himself from people's depression, sadness, lonesomeness, and anything else dark and creepy
On the 5th pic if you over look the pupil zero two looks like a smiley face without eyes
@omegalavender I had no idea they even still made Spyro games.
Fun game, and it really shows a side of kirby you don't really see. If you steal his shit, especially his food, he's gonna beat you up :P
yeah where is it id really like to dl this!! x.X
I don't know if I exactly want to bring 0² back, hasn't he had enough torment?
I have seen many great remixes of 02's theme but none had thanked Jun Ishikawa the maker of the tune. So thank him because with out him this would not exist.
@GeneralKavakos But only time will tell, right?
02 theme >magalor soul theme
H8ERS GONNA HATE
RAGE BABYS ON THE LEFT PITCH FORKS ON THE RIGHT
COME AND GET ME
I think they're both as good in their own ways.
Yea magalor is a mystical feeling of adventure as 02 is serious aamd it gives a your our only hope feel. I like both but i prefer 02
C-R-O-W-N-E-D and 02's theme are both amazing, they both give off the feeling of "You HAVE to win or else the universe is doomed."And I fucking love it.It really puts pressure on the player.
funny thing maglor theme has portion of 02 and dark matter theme in the mix
Cite a source for Drawica's connection to Zero. As for other bosses appearing like Zero, eyes are a recurring pattern in Nintendo bosses. Just look at how many Zelda bosses have eyes as a weak point.
That.. makes me feel kinda sorry for 02.. can't feel joy? That would suck!
@TheMetroidMadness alright where do you think the MUCH more bloody Zero battle came from. You know what I'll make it more quiz-like, you have 3 days to answer or you lose.Starting now!
0 could feel positive emotions; it's 02 that can only feel negative emotions.
@SteelAurora Kirby RPG FTW! If it's rated T then they can stop keeping Zero a secret and make an extremly epic game. Look at the MArio RPGs. I just think that they can do more with Kirby than Mario so it would make an even better game. But yes I,third?, that motion!
where did you get all those kickass pictures?!
yes a rose would make sense because a rose has always been a symbol of love and happiness so has an angle which is 02 but roses can cause pain due to the fact a rose is trying to do good in its own mind but only in its mind the outside shows its true emotions so Nintendo leads you to believe that "o hey there's a cute angle" and then turns int a monster you see 02 is like a rose only he thinks his actions are good but on the outside you see what he truly is. a monster. and a fallen angle poor 02
Zero = zero 2 (note: the band-aid on the top of his head under the halo which is most likely where he shoot his eye out in dream land 3 to kill Kirby to no avail)
oh cool

Like an extra book released in Japan that told back stories of a bunch of Kirby games... Much like how Square Enix released a book explaining plot points in Final Fantasy VII, and Advent Children.
Though for all I know. There is no backstory to Zero-Two... Though it makes sense, why his theme sounds sad, why he cries blood, and just his kinda sad look in that artwork in the credits of Kirby 64.
I always just figured he was O2, two oxygens, ... or Oxygen squared. = p
darius crowley approves this!
I love 0
