The video is great and clear instructions! However, on this particular Rover engine 1 - Drain the Oil 2 - tighten the bolt 3 - Go up and add 5 quarts 4 - Go back down and remove the filter 5 - Add oil to the filter slowly, plus a little touch on the seal 6 - tighten the oil filter 7 - Go back up and add half a quart and start the engine for one minute 8 - Shut the engine off, and wait 5 minutes and check the dip stick All done 👍🏼 8
Hmmmm. 4 litre engines did not have secondary air. That engine is a 4.6. The design was started in the late 50’s,manufactured in 63 by Buick. The rights were sold to Land Rover around 67. It has flat tappets and needs good old fashion conventional oil with zinc. The zinc lubricants the cam and tappets. The manual you are using was written in the 60’s before synthetic oil.

Just from seeing other videos you're supposed to put oil in the filter first before you install it!!
