Let's talk about the price, guarantee, and how to put a bag in it!
After a month, I am pleased to report. We change 2/3 times a week. Which has reduced waste space and bags by half. The bin does not smell at all.
Bag is not very heavy, and it is easy to pull out.
I think you have to be conscious of anything potentially sharp going in, and then not to compact too hard otherwise you are vulnerable to attack and bag getting pierced.
Definitely can't skimp on the bags here. They will need to be quality ones otherwise I think you are asking for it...

Nice video. Better than others I've seen. It was on sale for £122.45 when I bought it in October, 2020. A couple of caveats your video didn't mention. Because it's not motorized with more compacting power, it is not recommended for tin cans (I asked JJ about that and that's what they said). But a good enough hack is to first flatten the cans (beverage cans are easier than soup cans). Just be careful of sharp edges that can rip the bag.
My only complaint is concerning the bags. I use 35 liter bags (big enough, obviously). There aren't 30 liter bags in Switzerland where I live. I also am only allowed to use specially marked bags issued and taxed by the local council.
Anyway, my complaint is that no matter how heavy, light, or filled the bag is, whenever I press it down, the bag invariably comes loose when I push down or pull the handle back up, and depending on how full or heavy the bag is at that time it can be a pain in the neck to slip it back into place until the next time I push it down and it happens again. And at some point it just won't stay in place anymore, defeating the purpose.
In case you're wondering if the bag is at fault, fear not. I have compared my bags with the JJ ones and they are virtually identical except for the capacity (30l vs 35l). In fact, my bags are probably a bit stronger/thicker than the JJ ones.
Have you had this problem? If you have, how did you solve it?
And if you haven't had this problem (yet), any ideas on how to solve it?
Thanks again for the helpful video. I hope you will reply.

I really like mine. Garbage is a PIA where I live in Portolla mtn area SF Bay- I have get the big outdoor garbage can to a unified collection area for the houses because the country/mountain lanes up here are too small for garbage trucks. This helps compact the garbage and makes it easier to deal with for sure. You'd think the water and waste fees which are enormous here and 51K in annual property tax would allow for some benefit but I am just another sucker living in SF bay pretending it is glorious. Thankfully around half the year I live in my place in Chelsea/London so life is not too bad.

yea really well. Funny you mention that, I thought to myself yesterday wondering if it needed changing. I've not noticed any smell. That said I do not recommend smelling the filter to see if it is working... it most definitely is! I will like buy cheap amazon basic charcoal filters to replace every few months just because, but I can't really tell how long it will last if it even does anything. I think it is more a placebo gimmick.

      Hi Hollie
I am please to report. After 5 days use... I have just changed the bin.
      No smell.
Bag is not very heavy, and it was easy to pull out.
Usually in the outside bin by now there would be 3 or 4 bags. But as of now, only the one.
There was one puncture hole, very small but a small amount of liquid was able to come out. I think you have to be conscious of anything potentially sharp going in, and then not to compact too hard otherwise you are vulnerable to attack!
Definitely can't skimp on the bags here. They will need to be quality ones otherwise I think you are asking for it...

I mean it's a nice design for sure, and it looks nice, but the internals are plastic, and that can break, and my dollar store garbage can has lasted me 10 years and it's fully made of plastic, it just doesn't look as nice as a metal can. It's a great idea for food scraps, if this was a designated food scrap garbage can, but regular garbage cans see all sorts of odd shapes and sizes and containers going into them at times, and where i live this is close to a $300 garbage can, even with a 10 year warranty, it's not doing enough to justify such a steep up-front cost.
