Pearse Island Cottage - Deck Post Replacement - Day2

Today was restructuring the outer header support for the deck and then building a new support post. It is fun working with reclaimed ocean timber, but when your materials are not quite straight, or round, and have bumps and lumps, traditional tools like Straight Edges, Squares and Levels, don't play much of a role. ‪@CaddyMan‬

I love that your standing under the deck when cutting the post and not on the outside. I guess when it hits or doesn't, that's how you know if anything has come down lol
