It’s kinda crazy to think that Azula is easily one of the most formidable characters in the show, and yet in her fight with Katara at the end of S2, she is obviously overpowered and out of her element. Then again in S3, during her Agni Kai with Zuko, Katara holds her own and eventually subdues her (mind you, all while Azula has enhanced fire bending bc of Sozin’s comet). It just goes to show you how deadly Katara is as an opponent against other fire benders. She really earned her notoriety and I’m glad even after so many years she is still appreciated

1:47 See that's one thing that I wish they'd done in the series. You think any of the benders could fight if they lost their bending?. Zuko is the only bender known to have any skill in weaponry (probably Iroh too.) I wish they'd had a filler episode where Zuko and Sokka made the benders on the team learn to use real weapons.

With typical bending styles, firebenders would be the best in that as more combative martial art moves seem to be incorporated into their bending than the other elements.

One of my favourite seried
