I had the same problem we used thinners on the roof and the double sided pads stuck to the roof so I'd say the sheet metal used in the stick pins hadn't been cleaned ie still got the cutting solution

Thanks for the advice. The issue was the glue coming off the bodywork, which I had cleaned with Isopropyl Alcohol. I just think the adhesive on the pins I bought was a bit rubbish.
