So happy to see Larva getting to ro 4, been a fan since season seven when i started following asl. So good to see a player that is competitive and has a big personality

Fun fact: Masks cause your glasses to mist up. Both of these guys wear glasses, hence why they pull the masks further and further down as the series goes on.

Soulkey had 10 mutas vs Larva 16 mutas lol he had no chance, larva micro'd his group of 12 muta while sending the rest of his mutas into the scourge and it was over
Why did he keep trying with the scourge. scourge suck. even if you can get them to hit, like 12 of them explode on the same muta. and dont they cost 75 gas? best case scenario you use 2 on a muta and you are only up 25 gas?
Is it a design flaw in StarCraft that Hydras can't counter Mutas? It would seem preferable if there was actually a meaningful tech choice in ZvZ beyond when to get each upgrade and how many scourge to build.
I guess that's is more of a question of maneuverability. Air united can come and go quickly, while Hydras would be vulnerable to lings attacks and counterattacks.
In theory, you can get 1 queen with ensnare to counter the mutas. But teaching to queen costs 2 drones and about 300 gas. So by the time you get your queen up, your opponent has 3 more mutas. So, this strat only works when you're ahead, but if you're ahead you can just get more mutas an win much easier.
Hydras were designed for anti heavy units, which works against most units T and P are likely to send against them, Dragoon’s, Factory, Reaver, Corsair, Wraith. Marines and zealots are squishy enough for Light to not matter. Meanwhile, Mutas are basically the only Light Air combat unit, which slightly fucks with most anti air options, like Dragoon and Goliath ... and Hydras. P and T can generally turtle long enough to get things like Storm, Corsair, Vessel, Valk, but Z v Z is defined by how hard it is to play defensively, making it very risky to tech long enough to get Queens or Defilers.

I've kinda been wanting Soma to win it all because I love his focus.....but dear God, I don't want a stupid ZvZ final. These matchups are terrible. So if Best doesn't make it to the finals (which it sounds like he won't) I'm gonna have to be pulling for Flash to beat all these freaking Zerg with his random. A ZvZ final is a tragically disappointing ending to an otherwise entertaining tournament.
I refuse to watch Larvae play, sweaty neckbeard that doesn't have an ounce of class in him. Really should have been barred for pro tournaments after he decided to put his toes on the keyboard in an invitational tournament.
