  • Stammering is just the way some people talk. It’s not a disorder or a defect and it doesn’t need to be fixed. What it does need is a world which understands and accepts it. By watching and sharing this video, you’re helping to make the world a little bit easier for people who stammer.

Excellent video, thanks everyone for sharing your experiences ☺️ I think perhaps I'm too lazy, I tell people to finish my sentences if they want and now I feel I'm doing a disservice to the community, I need to give this some thought

I don't mind when my close friends and family do it. But colleagues, strangers etc misunderstand almost 100% of the time, and it completely throws me off trying to correct them

I have an acquired stammer. Started off as blocks for a few days then I woke up with a bad stammer. Its so frustrating for me. I Seen neurologists etc can't pin point it but my speech therapist said it could be drug induced. ie prescribed meds uch as pregablin. Codeine or sertraline for example. But damage may already be done so topping the meds may not help.
